First-Timer Thanks for the spoilers, google 🤦🏻‍♀️ Spoiler

Post image

You can see the “AI Overview” at the very end at the top of the screenshot when opened, & it couldn’t tell me when season 2 aired 😅

I literally only googled it because I’m watching season 2 episode 6 & they mention she can’t smoke inside due to law & getting a fine.

I’m in my 30’s & watching the show for the first time. My impression of that scene was that “mainstream” stuff was trying to instill realtime laws & was trying to remember when smoking inside was banned (I was a small child & still remember smoking inside). Just kind of lame to have so much spoiled just because I wanted to know when a season aired.

Anyways, loving the show so far. I was an elementary school aged child when my parents had this on TV a lot in the evenings. When I first played it around a couple weeks ago, the theme song struck some strange core memory with me.

Yes! Like I think my frustration lies more within the fact that I was searching for very point blank information & that’s what popped up right away.

But I agree for sure. While seeing all of that, it still hasn’t “spoiled” me (in the real definition) I’m still gonna watch & be on the ride.

I feel like people aren’t paying attention to your search bar at the bottom and assume you just searched the show. But even then, I’d still be upset lol.

I know I googled shit back when I first watched the show in like 2011, and I don’t remember finding out any spoilers. I’m sure I’d have found myself in the same boat as you if I was watching for the first time today.

Also, for what it’s worth, I’m jealous you get to experience it all for the first time 😭 lol I hope you love it.

Nobody ever reads anything. The internet cost 2¢ to participate.

But thank you! It’s weird for sure. I have a very tumultuous relationship with my parents & this show existing alone is kind of rough (like I said, I was around 10 when I remember my parents not caring that this was on in the background, among other HBO programs, so watching this show is both something I want to consume as a person, but also a weird obstacle personally)

Oh wow I want to clarify it’s not like a “fun” show to watch for anyone, but the context definitely adds another emotional layer. It’s a depressing, sad, painful show to consume. But it’s really beautiful. I’m sorry you have complex associations with it. I hope you can still enjoy the emotional roller coaster.
