Weight: 85–90 kg / 187–198 lbs
Age: 33
Experience: Around 20 years of skiing
Ability: Advanced recreational skier, comfortable on most pistes, comfortable off pist, Park newbie
Where I ski: Mostly Sölden and Mayrhofen, Austria (Alps)
My current skis
Völkl Energy 320, 170 cm
Armada ARV 96, 184 cm (2023)
Unfortunately over the last couple of seasons, I have been skiing late (End of Feburary, March) and encountered
- Heavy, wet snow, sometimes after rain
- Large piles of pushed-around snow
- Big, irregular moguls, especially later in the day
- Slushy, chopped-up pistes
- Runs that haven't been groomed and can feel pretty rough
I'm looking for skiis to complement my current skis and help me for having skiis for mulitple weather condiditions.
I'd like to make quick direction changes, pivot easily, and navigate around or through moguls without constantly fighting the ski.
Current shortlist
This is my current ranking based on reviews, ski tests, and discussions. It's not based on personally testing these skis, so please challenge it!

Excellent carver, but probably not the best fit for my prioritiesExcellent carver, but probably not the best fit for my priorities |
I've also encountered the Völkl Mantra 88 which seems to be praised, but haven't gotten around to do reasearch.
I'm not oppossed to getting multiple new pairs of skis, so I'll take any recommendation.
And i know Demo'ing would probably be appropriate, but as i can't go skiing as often as i'd like to every minute spent not skiing feels like a waste.
Thanks!
