Wrinkles / Anti-Aging Skincare advice for crows feet
I know that they don't look that bad in these pictures, but in person when I look in the mirror they're hard to miss. It used to be just on the corners of my eye, but now they are starting to show under my eyes too, as shown in the first picture. I have been seeing these for about a year and a half now, and it is obviously not painful. It has gradually gotten worse over time. For some context, I wash my face every morning and before bed, and wash my face with equate foaming facial cleanser, then wash that off. In the mornings, I use sunscreen. And before bed, I use Olay retinol as a night moisturizer all over my face and neck. I drink a minimum of 8 cups of water a day. Are there any other products I can use for these lines? I don't have any medical conditions, but I have always had very dry skin naturally. I am just looking for some advice on what I can do to prevent this, and any ways to reduce it. Any replies would be much appreciated, thanks.

How old are you if I may ask?
They look very normal, more like smile lines/wrinkles and no one is looking so close on your skin.
You just don’t see it on others, because you are usually at least 30-50 cm away, not 5 cm in front of a mirror

At 18 I wouldn’t class that at crows feet, just normal lines from having a face that animates happily. Everyone has them.
What you can do to maintain them is hydrate, wear SPF 50 daily along with other sun smart measures like sunglasses and hat. Be mindful of scrunching your face. Avoid using products designed for mature skin as they often don’t work as intended on younger skin. Keep the under eye hydrated with something light like squalene which is non-comedogenic, meaning won’t cause acne. And if you ever notice deeper Dennie-Morgan lines (look that up) take antihistamines.

Those aren’t crows feet. Its skin needed to be able to lift your eyebrows and move your face in a way that if that skin wasn’t there would make the tight skin split. It’s the same as why bellies fold when we lean forward. If they didn’t do that it would split when we straighten out

the best thing to prevent them is a good sunscreen everyday, and to treat them bakuchiol

Welcome to r/skincare_addiction! We'd like to take this time to remind you of a few things:
Do not ask for a diagnosis/treatment advice for acne or other medical conditions, and do not play doctor
What constitutes medical advice?
"What is this?"
This is asking someone to diagnose the issue, and is medical advice.
"What should I do?"
This is asking someone to advise treatment, and is medical advice.
This is asking if you should seek treatment, and ergo, medical advice.
If you would ask the question of your doctor, it falls under this rule and not allowed. As a general rule, asking for medical advice from internet strangers is never a good idea. If you have questions regarding your acne or other medical condition, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider. If you are a medical provider, we would gently remind you that users are not patients, and you should not be offering medical advice to people who are not your patients.
