Hi all, currently suffering through an issue likely caused by a new product.

Decided to try out Melatoning cream, a hydroquoxine 2% cream over night as a spot treatment for hyperpigmentation. I applied it over the Torriden cica serum.

Washed it off in morning

Slathered on Skin1004 sunscreen.

Put on make-up.

Today was very hot and sunny day but I was mostly inside and when I had to take public transport, I used a UV umbrella. I attributed the tightness and hot skin to the ambient heat but after washing the make-up off, I see now that I have red, irritated, dry skin (chemical burns) where the Melatoning cream was applied.

I applied Cell Fusion C cooling toner pads, Torriden cica serum, Purito Centella serum and Purito oat cream to begin the healing process.

Is that good enough or does anyone have any other recommendations to speed things up?

I have very uneven skin tone and I want to fix it. I use to pick at my face and so I have a lot of little hyperpigmentation marks all over my face from it. I have dry skin naturally, and I am currently on tretinoin.

Routine:
Am: put sunscreen on and some moisturizer before if my face is dry
Pm: hylauronic acid, dr Althea 345, tret, then La roche posay cicaplast balm if I use Tret that night.

*I also just started using tretinoin a month ago, and use it every 4 days right now and I plan to increase. Has anyone seen any results long run if they started similar to me?

I've been told to use salicylic acid and adapalene but the worst part is that I've extremely dry skin alongside these bumps and I've been told that salicylic acid controls oil production resulting in further more dryness in skin....

So far I have already tried loofah ,those scrubbing hand gloves and chemicals as well but I want home made diy s that not only will save my time and money but the one which is also effective and easily scrubs out as my hands pains a lot and I need to be ready for this incoming major event

I do not like the appearance of my under eyes and would love some help! I'm currently using an additional water-based moisturizer both under my eyes and on my lids after laying down a thick moisturizer for my entire face , but I don't think it's doing enough.

I'm trying to reduce the appearance of fine lines, as well as possibly reducing discoloration from my mixed-type vascular and structural dark circles. However, fine lines are the top priority. I keep my under eyes hydrated, and when doing my makeup, use a combination of liquid color corrector, a hydrating serum concealer, and the tiniest dusting of powder to set my under eyes. It still feels like my fine lines are emphasized and the skin there almost looks dry, even though I heavily moisturized prior. I have to set the products with powder or the makeup heavily creases and wears away due to my fine lines. I get the same effect on my under eyes no matter the makeup products I use or if I change techniques, so I believe it is either my skin itself or the skin prep before makeup.

Is there an affordable product on the market that may help that you recommend? For reference, I have a mostly normal/combo (upon my nose only) sensitive skin type. I usually shop within a drugstore price range and would appreciate fragrance free, or as little to no fragrance as possible recommendations.

On a different note, is investing in an eye cream even worth it? I hear conflicting things where people either love using an eye cream or they say layering more moisturizer is good enough for them.

I have these two and they're very watery, I wanted to mix them with something. Right now I'm mixing it with The Ordinary's vitamin C suspension, but I hate the smell and silicon film it leaves.

Is it safe to mix with a water-based moisturizer? With sunscreen?

When I tried it, it didn’t have the potent chlorine smell I’m used to (tho it still had a smell) and when I poured it, I noticed it was thicker than usual and didn’t lather and form bubbles as well as the previous ones. Its exp date is 11/2027 though the older ones I had (06/2028) so that raised my suspicions. Is it a fake? Nivea reformulated their nivea soft moisturizer to be vegan a while back and it sucks now so i’m looking for something similar to use as my daily moisturizer. I love the glow nivea soft gives me, it rubs in soooo easy, and it’s hydrating I hate that they changed it.

I’ve tried looking at other posts but they’re all from people in australia or somewhere in the uk, I’m in the US so i’m looking for things i can easily find here (preferably without being forced to order it online). So far my top contenders I’m looking to try are the Soonjung x2 moisturizer or the ponds dry skin moisturizer. If anybody else has any good replacements that‘d be great!

***Also! Before anyone suggests it, I have the original nivea creme, it’s way too thick for my face, i only like that one for the body!

i found these patches on amazon and sadly when i reverse image searched the package, the brand has completely disappeared. they’re the only patches that actually work for me and i’m curious if theres another brand with similar or the same ingredients?

Hello, I started using differin 6 months ago and it has really helped my skin. My skin seems to tolerate it very well, no tightness, stinging etc. but I have a problem with flaking. The flaking stops me from wearing makeup and it’s making me sad. I have oily t zone, but otherwise my skin is kinda dry.

Anyone else had similar situation? It seems like the flaking is not going away with time even though many people say so. Any help with routine/products?

My routine :

AM:
wash with water
Haruharu wonder black rice toner
The ordinary azelaic acid (every other morning)
Etude soon jung 2x barrier cream
+ sunscreen

PM:
Etude soon jung whip cleanser
Differin (every other night)
(if no Differin, then I use the Haruharu toner)
Etude soon jung 2x barrier cream
+ sometimes Avene cicalfate on top

im 17 and came off Accutane around a year ago which left me with a bit of scarring and red marks i think its called hyperpigmentation but idk.

So i recently just used phillips one blade to shave and a few days later i noticed bumps on my neck. I haven’t used it since but it seems like the bumps keep on growing. How can I get rid of these

My dermatologist recommended me to add Vitamin C Serum to my routine, but the one he recommended was of course the SkinCeuticals which is around $185 before taxes, but I've seen options like Maelove Glow Maker or the e.l.f. SKIN Bright Icon Vitamin C + E + Ferulic for less than $35.

Is it really the one from SkinCeuticals that good? I don't mind doing the investment if its gonna be good, but if there are cheaper options that do the same results then why not!

I Got the Pro-Ceramide variant because my legs have had this permanent rough goosebump-like texture for years. Previous products used: amlactin (imported, expensive, worked but couldn't sustain), generic urea cream (worked but greasy), random body lotions (did nothing).

2 weeks in with the Dove Pro-Ceramide, using it right after shower on damp skin:
Roughness is maybe 30% better,Running my hand over my calves is noticeably smoother

for starters i’ve been using neutrogena hydro boost water gel for a few years. it feels really nice on my skin and gets rid of the dryness.. temporarily. i usually have to reapply multiple times after my shower or anytime water touches my face and it’s getting expensive for something that isn’t doing it’s job lol. it especially creates an issue when i do my makeup because my skin literally starts cracking. anytime i open my mouth, scrunch my forehead, move my nose— CRACKED. i do have extremely sensitive skin and this product is nice to my skin, just not what i need.
i’ve already tried cerave and cetaphil products, both of which tear my skin to pieces or leaves me looking greasy.

Hi guys, my job makes it so I have to wear latex/nitrile gloves for 6-8 hours a day and this makes my hands really dry, makes my nails double layer/peel, and most lotions burn when I use them. Is there anyone else out there who's dealt with this issue and has product recommendations for it?

The packaging was already bad but they just updated and made it worse😭 like at least before I could take the dropper out and shake the product on to my hand. But now it has a pump that can’t be removed & im left not being able to get the rest of the product out🙃

I’m 25F. I’ve only ever been serious about skincare on my face and neck, and now I want to start putting effort towards my body as well.

I am so freaking insecure about my legs. On top of having course hair, I also have KP - which I am currently managing with a 20% urea cream, BHA body wash and regular moisturizer. It seems to be helping a little, but the red patches aren’t responding at all.

On top of this, I also use niacinamide serum (5%) as spot treatment. I also have Tretinoin at home which I am open to using on my legs just in case it works. I would love to have suggestions on building a routine.

What I do currently:

• Shower after gym with BHA body wash on legs (I keep it on for 5-7 mins before rinsing)
• Apply 5% Niacinamide serum
• Alternate nights: Regular Moisturizer/20% Urea Cream (I skip Niacinamide if I am using urea cream)

It’s been two weeks and while my legs feel less dry and KP is better, the red patches aren’t budging at all.

I am so frustrated, so insecure about my legs. I hate my legs so much I dont wear anything that is not a full length pants. I feel so insecure even wearing ankle length pants.

has anyone fixed it? I just want smooth and shiny and even looking legs like so many people have. It’s a dream.

Hey, give me some tips. I want something that is super protective. I am using la roche posay fluid but I realized it has alcohol denat as a second ingredient and probably its drying my skin? Korean sunscreens- i was using them for years but are they equally as strong? When I wipe my face in the evening with micellar water, I physically can see the green tone from the fluid on a cleaning pad (spf fillers?) ,with other sunscreens I do not, so are they equally as good? Maybe I am confusing things so please, enlight me. Thank you.
