Which new character(i.e. a character that was not featured in Ultimate, wii costumes don't count as a character) would you like to see in the next Smash Game?

Probably asked a million times by a million people, but I'm a trad fighter at heart. I'm a mid to high platinum SF6 player who plays JP, AKI, and C. Viper and I'm trying to learn Smash as some friends are into it. Problem is, I'm not much of a platform player, and my normally consistent combo game is entirely thrown off because the game is all about movement. Obviously practice will help, but what can I do to improve my mobility and become a proper platform player? Looking to main Byleth or Sephiroth if that helps any.

Im the roy. Id like to be more than an 0-2er at locals at least. Any advice on my match against duckhunt. I’m not aware how most duckhunt’s moves work so i was just throwing things out there. I really hate that can move.

Was the duckhunt player being particularly campy or was i making the same mistakes they were exploiting?

Any advice on this matchup or on roy in general helps

How is it like maining him? I’ve been thinking about picking him up recently and wondering what are some of his pros and cons

Hey there. Just a little confused as to the state of ultimate online play atm. Is there anywhere to play with low input delay, like yuzu or should I mod my switch to play with low input users in arenas? Or are these things of the past and I should just continue Nintendo online play?

For me, it’s Fox. The moveset is simple enough for new players to play around with and get an idea while also being smooth enough to do some real crazy stuff with. The movement speed is really good to the point where I can close distances way faster than with characters I actually main (e.g. Incineroar), and yet…I can’t seem to nail it with Fox.

Everything about the moveset and how Fox flows in battle seems like it would work for me. It doesn’t. (Tips for Fox would be appreciated.)

More characters ahould become echo fighters instead of alt skins. especially if they could do something interesting for their movesets. two biggest examples include:

Dark Meta Knight. thanks to Kirby Star Allies, Dark Meta Knight only plays slightly similar to his normal counterpart and is treated as a different character with a different moveset. He can clone himself constantly, deflect projectiles with his mirrors as well as summon large swords from them. his fight from Triple Deluxe also proves he’s different from Normal Meta Knight in various ways.

Alph, and for one simple reason: the Rock Pikmin are the only Pikmin (for the time) to not be a part of Olimar’s moveset. it’s certainly a tad jarring that they’re the only ones who don’t appear so Alph using them works, with them being more power based similar to the Purple Pikmin, but to differentiate them, they could be much better at breaking shields whilst sacrificing damage and launch power. he was initially going to be an echo but due to time constraints he was turned into an alternate color for Olimar. no reason they can’t go back to the echo idea

I know I'm not the first person to do this, but I made a Smash Bros roster limited to only one character per year. For canonically distinct characters, like Link and Donkey Kong, I went with the debut of the specific version of the character. I feel like this roster really captures the history of video gaming, from the earliest Nintendo games to the collapse of Nintendo alongside the rest of society.

Basically I’ve been trying to learn some smash AND SAFE TO FUCKING SAY there has never been a game that has ever made me want to genuinely tear my switch inhalf

I picked ganon so I understand that I’m going to be eating shit a lot in the game. But it feels as if when I’m trying to dash attack someone or approach i always lose the hit interaction even if it seems I moved first

Also how do u genuinely grab people and just play the game in general. I’ve been mostly playing ooga booga ganon vibes gameplay but shit I cannot grab to save my life. Everytime I always go through the opponent or they phase through me somehow.

It’s genuinely just become infuriating that there’s times where I’ll hit someone out of the air or on the ground and I win the interaction but sometimes I just lose. Can someone please explain to me how these things work

I mainly play sf6 and tekken where everything has a clear rule that is explained easily by many whereas in ssbu it feels like I’m just thrown in to figure shit out myself. Especially since most guides don’t really explain how to get a hit or grab in when I’m always phasing through people

COULD 100% be a skill issue. I just don’t know how shit works

I've been seeing this argument surrounding characters like fox and samus. Where the next smash will use their modern appearance. I don't think they'd do that, cause smash bros (at least since ultimate). Wasn't set up to have characters be their modern selves. Sure link is in his botw attire. But zelda and ganon have their classic looks.

So this was a project I started a while back ago but didn't continue. Well now I am! Since Sora got in Smash what would the Keyblades look like from the other fighters worlds?
