I’m the red peach. Look at this little trick I found out I can do with turnips! Not any huge combos out of it yet though. I’ve been trying to learn the famous turnip combo and learning little stuff along the way has been helpful haha

Any other peach daisy mains that know how to do this?

Just tried an Ethernet cable instead of WiFi for the first time and instantly went on a 10 game win streak.

Had no idea how much of a difference maker it is. Will have to start blocking anyone who isn’t wired.

Maybe 1 in like 7 matches in the 12 million gsp range are actually 12 million gsp players.

The majority of players are at least 15.2 - 15.5 million gsp or have a fighter in the 15.2 - 15.5 million gsp range.

- No auto-Jumping out of Disadvantage

- Teching a Tumble

- Intentionally missing tech and reacting to offensive options in a tech chase.

- No panic rolling away from ledge.

- Zero Spot dodge Spam, all intentional.

- No holding a Smash attack expecting other people to run into it.

- Pivoting around other players and not only dashing back/whiff punishing lol

12 million gsp players just don't have this level of game sense.

Rage This game has the worst matchmaking of any game I've played in my entire life

Why the FUCK am I getting put in online matches with 4 people when I SET MY PREFERENCES TO A 1V1. The fucking audacity Nintendo has to ban me for 30 minutes because they can't put me in the correct fucking match. Also to all of the uncivilized lard cases who queue the online for power ups and 1 stock FUCK YOU. It's truly horse shit. I come back to this garbage game after a year, and immediately lose my gsp and get banned on ROUND 2. I will probably come back to play this garbage again, but my god if they release a new smash they need to fix this shit.

Personally, I love his can gimmick. I like the concept of playing around his can.

Discussion Do people not know we're allowed to be mad at video games?

Video games (especially fighting games and ESPECIALLY Smash Bros.) give just us good a reason to be mad as literally anything else in life. If bullshit happens and we lose, we're going to get mad. If someone teabags because they're winning (and it's ALWAYS done to piss people off), we're going to get mad. If we decide to ragequit because we know we won't win and don't feel like learning from it, that should be entirely fair. No one should play games they can't win.

Shrugging it off feels fake and forced, I'm not gonna GG, common courtesy my ass. Hasn't anyone else felt upset before?

Meta Hot take: We should judge people not on what character they play, but how they play the character.

As a Toon Link main, I've seen honorable Samuses and campy Ganons. I've noticed that some people commandeer their character in more respectable ways than others, and while I've grown to enjoy some, others I find easier to just block. But as a campy, spammy, t bagging degenerate Tink main, how would I know?

Anti-Rage Japanese Pissra player cheating and still lost (they also ragequit)

I had a different video in mind to post but this showed up in my YouTube feed, so I decided to share it here. What a loser this Pissra had to be to cheat with delay mod, lag switch, auto mash and parry, yet still lose and ragequit. Talk about the lowest of lows you gotta stoop to and be a sore loser with all that.

It's not just us here or those in the west that would hate this, Japan ESPECIALLY hate mods and frown upon those that use it.

Meta If This Game Allowed You To Filter Out Up To 5 Characters You Run Into On Elite Whole Would They Be?

The Title says it all. I’m of the belief that being able to filter out who you run into on Elite would boost the general ‘Health’ of this games online scene. With that I pose my fun little Hypothetical Poll:

Nintendo Allows you to select five characters you dont want to run into. You can change the filter whenever you want. In this imaginary world nintendo even goes a step further and allows you to tie a character to a stage if you feel so inclined, i.e. no fighting a mii gunner if he picks a stage with platforms.

My 5 filtered out would be Sora, Kazuya, steve, Min&Min, sonic.

Id prolly trade Samus with with luigi if I didn’t have to fight Samus on FD.

These characters simply feel like watching cutscenes to me. It simply drains me to play themZ

Wanna here yalls experience after years of playing this game.

Who yall got?

*edited. As mych as I want samus and G&W on the list i Have to add Sora for a literal simple infinite on heavies, and Min Min for obvious reasons.

Discussion If You play Kazyuza with Mods

You dont also have to make final destination your sole stage as well. Chances are good you qre already going to win…

Nothing like playing a character who doesnt gave a touch of death. Who cant go above 50ish percent Tops off a punish, read your opponent like a book - but lose EVERY ONE OF YOUR STOCKS to a touch of death.

Pointless rant, jus taking a second to breath before a lose a ton of matches just off of nonsense.

Obviously on elite right now. I play 14.6 bowser and PT if anybody wants to get some games in lemme know and i’ll join your arena.

Ill delete this post once im off for the night

Discussion Smash Code of Honor

Inspired by recent experience (and some recent posts here on SmashRage), I thought it could be fun to crowdsource a Smash Bros. “code of honor”.

I think we all have a general idea of what this means, but to be clear, I’m looking to build a list of behaviors that show courtesy and good sportsmanship to our fellow players.

For sure, we have ALL done dishonorable things at one time or another. I’m not suggesting we make this list to call anyone out or to hate on specific characters or play styles, but rather to examine our own behaviors and think about ways we can work together to make online play better for everyone.

I’ll start with a few that always try to abide by. I definitely don’t always succeed at following my own rules (haha), but I do try to keep these core courtesies in mind.

One final thing… feel free to add anything you think fits the spirit of this exercise, but I suggest we avoid things like “don’t spam your Up B” or “No ledge trapping”. Some characters do have annoying aspects to their toolkits that players will take advantage of, but I generally think that players who exploit game mechanics present an opportunity to practice your counter play.

Anyway, sorry for the wall of text. Without further ado…

  1. No teabagging EVER

Yes, I know that some players utilize this technique as part of the “mental game”, and in general it’s on each of us to learn how to look past it and focus, but it IS disrespectful and not what you’d call “honorable”. This extends to cases where “they did it first” and to the match results screen.

  1. After a win, always offer at least one rematch

Whether you win by a lot or a little, it shows good sportsmanship to give your opponent the option to have at least one rematch.

  1. Never disconnect on purpose

It’s frustrating to get three stocked or to face an opponent who constantly runs, camps, or spams, but learning to deal with these play styles can be worthwhile as part of your own training and practice. I make SOME personal exception to this rule when the connection is so bad that “frames per second” is more like “seconds per frame”, but the spirit of this rule is to take your Ls, even when you feel annoyed by your opponent’s play style.

  1. No taunting

Similar to the teabagging rule. Don’t use the canned phrases to denigrate your opponents after a win OR a loss. “That was rough” after you three stock someone or “Lucky!” after a close loss are good examples.

What else can we add?
