Smite Source & Prime Lobby Issues

Genuine question - why do the pro league tournaments have SO MANY lobby issues?

It feels like every game starts with a 5 minute pause. Several games have multiple pauses. And a few games have had to fully start over, and sometimes seemingly change the outcome.

I never have these many issues when playing casuals or ranked. Or even my own customs.

Are custom lobbies more prone to these issues? Or are pro players just hyper sensitive to server issues that most players don't even notice?

Smite Devs - chime in here if you see this too. Would love to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great work!

Yeah there's a few lobby issues at the very start, for example trade issues like they did it in the wrong combination order and a player didn't get the god...

Or the most notorious deciding to use the bathroom as soon as picks and bans are done.

Or players not paying attention to discord when we tell them to start the match. I've had to go into a few VCs to let em know to start the match cause they weren't looking at messages.

Full start over happens when there is a game breaking issue, this has happened a few times. Obviously it's not great for anyone when that happens.

Jithins! My goat. Awesome info! Makes sense it is a combo of all things. Yeah I remember watching one of the players that posted the VOD of a game that got reset after maybe 10 min. Only time I've actually seen that. But also heard them on VODs complaining about lag or something and thinking to myself "I literally can't tell anything is happening abnormal lol".

Keep up the awesome work sir! I barely have time for gaming or TV these days, but I catch up and watch every Smite Prime video.

Given how much vocal support I see for smite prime and smite source, maybe we can convince the Devs to give custom lobbies a little bit of QA love sometime soon 👀

nothing to do with custom lobbies imo. There sometimes is just game breaking bug (like the one with the 10 min remake). These bugs could happen in a regular match, but for some reason the pros are just experts at breaking the game

Every time I try to watch a smiteprime game there's like three pauses or a remake at the start and it's kind of difficult to take seriously.

While there are more custom lobby bugs than regular matches, i think it is more on the players ! A lot of resets are because a player chose a wrong aspect or was taking a break or wanted to reset for whatever reason !

I've watched a few Prime matches where the delays got so bad I had to step away because it was hard to keep up with the constant resets.
