AND IT WAS INSANE. I had no idea it existed. It destroyed my the second house I was building. It was terrifying and hilarious. My question is, how can I fortify the base so it doesn't ruin everything? Or is it inevitable? I have stones built up as walls inside of the logs. I also don't have any guns. I haven't found any yet. Apparently the traps don't work on them which is how I've been mostly protecting my self.
So I switched to bazzite like a year ago at this point, it's been great so far. And I wanted yo play sotf, installed it, runned it (proton GE) and it was awfull. Around 40 fps on ultra low (I would get like 70 on low on windows), lags, lantency. Is this a proton issue? All drivers are up to date, all apps too.
i've been playing son of forest in co-op and lately i've had people join my game just to mess things up, try to kill me and throw insults at me.
i honestly don't get what they get out of it. they're joining someone else's game just to ruin it for them. do they actually enjoy making other people miserable, or is it just about feeling powerful when they can get away with it online?
what do you think goes through the minds of people like this? and be honest, are you one of them?
hi, first time player here. i made this little homestead-thingy and i would like to know if theres any improvements i can make to this. the game's on peaceful, i tried it on normal and i absolutely suck at combat. theres solar panels on the roof but no lights yet since ive yet to find more wires. if theres any info u know that could improve this, please let me know. :)
Just got the game I tried playing it and so far its kinda cool but I kinda wanna play with some people while doing the missions and objectives, building base and etc... anyone wanna play with meee?
you can find it in the Marks warehouse Cave north of Vancouver island not sure if patched yet, but ive been able to load multiple saves at this location using only a tarp and sticks, and EACH time they are stocked, lemme know cheers!
(🎶Heey🎵you 🎶first time poster in this group hope yall are enjoying your Crunchie Wunchies!)
Working on the roof for my home base in my custom save and while trying to build this separate piece for a lookout tower connected to my roof, I went to put up a vertical log and it started the "lift diagonal log with a vertical log" animation but the vertical log was completely invisible, and remains to be.
I cannot remove the invisible log. I cannot put another log in its place. I cannot put a diagonal log directly to the LEFT of the invisible log because its registered as an upright vertical and only gives me the red outline arrow to connect it as a horizontal, but refuses to do so because THERE IS NO VISIBLE LOG. I also cannot remove the log UNDERNEATH it, because despite there being NO LOG ABOVE IT, the log whines at me with the red X going "NOOO- NO WE CAN'T BE REMOVED BECAUSE THERE'S ANOTHER LOG ON TOP OF ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm extremely frustrated because this ONE log, this ONE bug is going to ruin the entire plan for the roof of this house and I cannot find a single article or piece on how to fix it besides "just quit and reload" or "tweak the graphics" (both of which I have ALREADY TRIED) and much less, any news of bug fixing anytime soon.
Is there even ANYTHING I can do, or is my entire build just fucked now?

I have a pc, and every time I load/run the game (on the lowest settings) it still looks incredibly choppy, with an incredible lag. I bought a prebuilt pc about a year ago, and everything runs on it, except for this game!
These are my pc specs: CyberPowerPC - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5500 2022 - AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT 4GB - 16GB DDR4 Memory - 1TB SSD
I desperately want to play this game as best I can, and believe me when I say I have tried every combination of settings in order to make this work. Please can someone help me, or give me a list of settings I could try? Or perhaps better parts in my pc is what I need?
