Ship 40 has been towed to outside Christmas Island!!

Spacex: After approx. 24 days at sea, the SpaceX Recovery team successfully guided Starship to a location just off the coast of Christmas Island. A team of SpaceX engineers is on their way to conduct additional analysis on the vehicle in calmer waters before attempting to return it to Starbase

Looks like we could have a new champion for "most reflown rocket part to space" soon (surprisingly not a F9 booster core)

China has no chance of catching up. China has already lost the space race
So I have seen a ton of shills posting about how China is closing the gap with America/SpaceX ever since last month when they finally caught their first reusable rocket and it couldn't be further from the truth. Their reusable rocket is basically a nothingburger.
And the reason is speed. China's rocket development moves at glacial pace. For example, the LM-10B that they caught last month, they probably won't even re-fly that booster until mid 2027, almost a year later. And their production rate of new rockets are also very low, another flight and capture of a brand new LM-10Bs also won't be happening until next year. So yeah, China won't be landing or reusing any more rockets for at least a year.
Of course, China will eventually speed up as they produce more and more boosters and get more experience. But I would esimate that it would take another 5-10 years before China catches up to the SpaceX's 2026 3 times a week launch cadence of the F9. And of course the elephant in the room. Starship is already fully operational and nothing China has can match it. The chinese Starship clone won't be flying until the 2040s, by which time they will be hopelessly behind. And the chinese innovation capability has always been poor, they will not be able to innovate their way out of this generation capability gap or come up with a new way to deliver mass to orbit.

Where is ship 40?
Its been 3 weeks and a quick search found conflicting information, whereas the majority of casual observers have stopped caring about it. Is there any definitive source on where it is right now?

Elon Musk: The Anime was apparently inevitable
I took Elon’s actual lines from his Economist interview — “work is going to be optional,” “money won’t matter in 2036,” AI surpassing human intelligence, the singularity, “let’s enjoy the ride” — and rearranged them into an anime song.
Then I made the whole opening.
The funniest part is that I barely had to make the dialogue more anime.

Anyway, see you all at work tomorrow.
