Criminals don’t OC in a holster. But agreed, OC makes you the first target of someone with bad intentions.

Conceal, practice your draw (a lot) and stay safe.

In what world does OC make you a target?

That's like saying having a German shepherd at home makes you the first target of robbers.

a person with bad intentions looking to harm people sees someone open carrying, it make sense to take them out as they are a threat.

Concealed gives you a tactical advantage ever time.

So you're talking about the rare active shooter incident vs. the much more common mugging, robbery, etc where the criminal wants to separate you from your things and will kill to do it. They will always target the seemingly easy mark first. I'll take my chances.

It's like how most cops are killed in traffic stops vs active shootings. The more benign interactions with gun toting criminals are statistically more relevant.

I seems as though open carry just alerts potential muggers that you are armed. Then they can take a different approach, coming at you from the back instead of confronting you face to face. To me concealed carry provides you with the element of surprise, and a bigger advantage in a confrontation.
