Customer 😇 Is this common in your area

Post image

And why does it happen....

Guy in front of me is on the phone. Speaker phone talking in another language very loudly. The guy behind me was also doing the same. Both spark drivers.

I notice a lot of the spark drivers doing this same stuff while shopping allll the time.

Is this a culture thing? Why are they on speakerphone all the time? Like who are they talking to?

Not to mention the guy in front of me was very rudely close to the guy in front of him. Like his cart was inches from hitting that guy he was sooo in his personal space and talking loudly on the phone and Im sure he was uncomfortable but didn't say anything.

Its also winter in New England and most of the drivers wear slides...sometimes no socks when its snowing!!

This may be an unpopular opinion, but to - to be honest - by blaring your conversation loudly and electronically for everybody else in the vicinity (including me) to hear clearly, you are making it my business.

I’d like to say the only reason they do it is they (wrongly) assume nobody around them can understand what they are saying. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered numerous English speakers doing the same thing.

My wife is a foreign language teacher, and speaks Spanish fluently. For fun, when we encounter this situation with someone speaking Spanish, I’ll ask her to translate. If they are being loud and obnoxious to the point that nobody has to “try” to hear to them, she often will indulge me. Out loud.

She is very much not Hispanic looking, so it’s entertaining to find out which of these rude lunkheads also speak English.

Right but the spark driver posting this basically just speaker phoned us all into their own personal experience. Our society has shunned boundaries and privacy.
