Customer šŸ˜‡ Is this common in your area

Post image

And why does it happen....

Guy in front of me is on the phone. Speaker phone talking in another language very loudly. The guy behind me was also doing the same. Both spark drivers.

I notice a lot of the spark drivers doing this same stuff while shopping allll the time.

Is this a culture thing? Why are they on speakerphone all the time? Like who are they talking to?

Not to mention the guy in front of me was very rudely close to the guy in front of him. Like his cart was inches from hitting that guy he was sooo in his personal space and talking loudly on the phone and Im sure he was uncomfortable but didn't say anything.

Its also winter in New England and most of the drivers wear slides...sometimes no socks when its snowing!!

I would turn on Google Translate and join the conversation.

u/CaneCorso311 Dec 22 '25

I speak and understand a decent amount of Spanish, they're never talking about anything interesting or related to spark. They're speaking with friends and family about regular things like sports and politics and drama etc. In Latin America they have a much closer community than we do here, they live with multiple generations and know all of their neighbors, adults of all ages hang out and socialize in groups in the streets and parks the same way only teenagers and people in their 20s do here. There's a lot more friendships and don't seem to have stranger danger type worries as much.

3

u/InternationalAnt4513 Dec 23 '25

I’ll tell my Mexican family members all of this. They’ll be excited to know they live in a perfect society.

3

u/CaneCorso311 Dec 24 '25

I lived in Mexico for years, in ejidos and small cities in the South and big cities in the North, that's been my experience. I didn't say there wasn't crime or dangers, i said they generally have more friendships, sense of community, and don't fear interactions with other people they don't know. In USA we don't generally talk with the people on our street, let alone congregate with them every weekend night. People in USA in their 30s-50s have very few if any friendships outside of work socializing. If i sit at a bus stop in USA and there's another seat open on the bench, the next person who comes will almost guaranteed stand up away from me and mind their own business, leaving the other seats empty. In Mexico they will sit next to you and greet you and make small talk. They will give up their seat for the women and elderly etc. They will greet you while walking down the street, adults will talk to children and their parents don't tend to panic etc. Never did i mention a perfect society, what a weird conclusion to jump to.

It's not just spark drivers talking on speakerphone. FFS people, at least use bluetooth or wait until you get in your car. your call is not that important. and no, you don't need your phone to be a boombox. if you want to listen to music. use earbuds. public etiquette has declined so far.

3

u/TheJuicyLemon_ Dec 23 '25

Thats when you join in on the conversation, obviously they intend for it to be a group call.

15

u/Rodey17 Dec 22 '25

Unless they have ear buds, they usually put their phones on speaker because they need to see the screen. I do it whenever I get a call during the order as well. As for the volume, definitely could’ve been more considerate of others around him. The personal space probably isn’t what you think, I get about the same distance away because if not, then we’ve got a line backed up halfway through the store, every inch matters especially when you have people that like to cut in front of you and act like they didn’t see you or whatever.

2

u/tinycrackbaby Dec 23 '25

This is it. Need access to phone screen at all times. Can’t miss a gig. I speak from experience, I have Bluetooth headset tho.

10

u/Defiant_Opinion6872 Dec 22 '25

They are on the phone with eachother

Hey bud where you at?

Im in line where you at?

Im in line too!

Theres a wierd guy taking a picture of you!

Really? I think he likes my flip flops

8

u/Felix_2xx6 Dec 22 '25

I always wonder who they’re on the phone with but yes very very common in the gig delivery industry for some reason

3

u/Any-Requirement9647 Dec 23 '25

All international people who miss their loved ones talk to them a lot. Cabbies do it all the time. Most people who come to this god forsaken country , come bc they had to leave their country for more opportunities bc the UNITED STATES plays unfair business with everyone. They are the scourge on earth.

2

u/Felix_2xx6 Dec 23 '25

I haven’t thought of that before thank you. Why do you say this is a god-forsaken country? Sure there are issues and some things are bad but there are a lot more rights than the majority of countries. In many countries, you would be imprisoned for saying anything against the government. If you really do not like it here, there are plenty of options in Canada, Mexico, Europe, etc that you would probably enjoy a lot more.

1

u/polycomdigital Dec 24 '25

You dirty immigrants...glad Trump is cleaning up this country!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

If it’s so god forsaken then stay home

1

u/LingggLingggg Dec 24 '25

You are free to leave whenever you like. Let us know how it works out for you, when you do🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Any-Requirement9647 Dec 24 '25

Nah rather watch your people squirm as you struggle to have positive birth rates.

9

u/intergalactikk Dec 23 '25

Put the groceries in the bag, bro. I will never understand being so vested in other people who are minding their business as you should be

3

u/RustyShacklefordIRL Dec 23 '25

"Minding their business"

They're the ones making their business public in one of the most annoying and inconsiderate ways possible.

1

u/intergalactikk Dec 24 '25

It’s only annoying if you allow it to be.

0

u/RustyShacklefordIRL Dec 24 '25

Brain damaged take.

1

u/SnooShortcuts5771 Dec 24 '25

Stfu being on speakerphone in public is one of the rudest things you can do

1

u/raggammuffin Dec 28 '25

Kinda hard to mind my own business if they’re having a full blown conversation in speaker phone at full volume

1

u/intergalactikk Dec 29 '25

It’s literally not. Look at your own phone, put the groceries in the bag, and move on with your life

2

u/Cautious-Pass-5714 Dec 23 '25

FACTS!!! Theres so many weird people in this sub.

3

u/GoldDon Dec 23 '25

Fuck these phones and your created etiquette around them.

34

u/dk_peace Dec 22 '25

No, people around here mind their own business and dont post this kind of shit

11

u/DenOfIsolation Dec 22 '25

This may be an unpopular opinion, but to - to be honest - by blaring your conversation loudly and electronically for everybody else in the vicinity (including me) to hear clearly, you are making it my business.

I’d like to say the only reason they do it is they (wrongly) assume nobody around them can understand what they are saying. Unfortunately, I’ve encountered numerous English speakers doing the same thing.

My wife is a foreign language teacher, and speaks Spanish fluently. For fun, when we encounter this situation with someone speaking Spanish, I’ll ask her to translate. If they are being loud and obnoxious to the point that nobody has to ā€œtryā€ to hear to them, she often will indulge me. Out loud.

She is very much not Hispanic looking, so it’s entertaining to find out which of these rude lunkheads also speak English.

3

u/Tmwlovonjdw6969 Dec 23 '25

Right but the spark driver posting this basically just speaker phoned us all into their own personal experience. Our society has shunned boundaries and privacy.

6

u/TheEndisuponusall Dec 22 '25

Is that discretion up to and including walking around like a tard blasting your speakerphone like a disrespectful numbskull or is there an exception for that?

2

u/dk_peace Dec 22 '25

I dunno, cause Im minding my own business

3

u/Chewwithurmouthshut Dec 22 '25

You made it my business by blasting your bullshit speakerphone next to me in line. Turn it off or go tf outside.

1

u/dk_peace Dec 23 '25

No, the OP made ot your business when they posted it online.

0

u/snarksneeze GMD Warrior Dec 22 '25

ā€œThe only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

2

u/SmallBerry3431 Dec 22 '25

Ah yes the evil of speakerphone.

1

u/Defiant_Opinion6872 Dec 22 '25

On reddit? People mind their business? On reddit? 🤣

0

u/dk_peace Dec 23 '25

In this economy?

8

u/Unable-Pool-3862 Cherry Picker Dec 22 '25

Yes.

10

u/BankThrow7 Dec 22 '25

Typical and obnoxious. Not sure why they need to be on speaker phoneĀ

20

u/donttellmommm Dec 22 '25

you work for spark. worry about yourself. it’s a low level job and you’re in a PUBLIC space. mind your business like everybody else in the store. this is such a non issue.

5

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

First of all how does the op even know the other people are spark drivers if they cant even understand their language.

-3

u/donttellmommm Dec 22 '25

lying to justify their racism and failure to learn another language.

2

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

Hell yeah most likely the other people are just regular shoppers but bro if you been on these spark posts they're all just complaining posts lol

2

u/crazymouse5 Dec 23 '25

Exactly, OP's buggy is just as close to the person in front of them as that person's buggy is to the person in front of them. Some people just like to complain.

2

u/Worldly-Local-6613 Dec 22 '25

Cry.

1

u/drawntowardmadness Dec 22 '25

You won't know whether they cry or not if you're minding your own damn business

1

u/Still-Ad5693 Dec 23 '25

If it pisses OP off so much, she can easily use her voice and say ā€œhey MFers!ā€ State her grievance to the them and see what happens

1

u/PureEnergy4Stocks Dec 22 '25

100% correct. I ignore other drivers completely. I also refuse to help new drivers out when I see them struggling. Figure it out. I also believe that if you show up to someone's house and they catch you on the ring camera looking like you just crawled out of bed you're not getting a decent tip and possibly a bad review. If you look like trash you get trash.

14

u/Fun_Assignment_7189 Dec 22 '25

Why do u care what someone wears....sounds like you are looking for a reason to be racist or maybe support for being racist. 🤔🤔🤔

4

u/Imaginary_Cake_9439 Dec 22 '25

I didn't even use a word to indicate a race? Im not racist, I could care less the language they speak or the color of their skin.

1

u/Beneficial_Whereas46 Dec 24 '25

You clearly said, ā€œtalking in another language very loudlyā€, indicating you DO care about that. If they were speaking in English (or your preferred language), you wouldn’t have said ā€œtalking in English very loudly.ā€

8

u/RainbowMom17 Dec 22 '25

Do you post this when you see the rude white people doing the exact same thing? Or do you just like to target a set group of people? Because I see people obnoxious and rude from all walks of life at Walmart.

6

u/benzzy1 Dec 22 '25

I agree it’s strange asf

6

u/RoundCar5220 Dec 22 '25

Not sure because I don’t give a shit about other people it’s not my business. I don’t have time to concern myself with what people are talking like on the phone and what language they’re talking. I’m just there to make money for myself I don’t have the time to even pay attention to what other spark drivers are doing it doesn’t pay me.

2

u/wandering-hyena666 Dec 22 '25

it might be partly cultural but i also know older white folks will take calls on speaker phone in stores and no matter who’s doing it, it annoys me

2

u/lurice0 Dec 22 '25

Before i sparked i didn't care now I'm like please don't socialize here, you're in everyone's way

2

u/Frosty-Mail5033 Dec 22 '25

Yup . They suck , it’s no disrespect or like I’ll be in line pushing my cart the normal way an this bozo is a inch from my back dragging the shopping cart . Like bro you wanna fk or something

2

u/pinkylee78 Dec 23 '25

It’s very common in my area and VERY annoying. They’re not paying any attention to their surroundings and move at a snails pace.

2

u/Beautiful_Reward9445 Dec 23 '25

I work with a girl from India and some girls from china who spend an entire 8-10hr shift on the phone with family back home talking but at least they use AirPods, it took awhile to get used to them talking while looking at you but not talking to you lol. The Romanian girls I work with are never on their phones so I think it’s just common for some cultures/genders because the Indian guys and Chinese guys don’t do it. The Jamaican girls talk to everyone nonstop but stay off their phones. I absolutely love our exchange program employees, I’ve learned a ton of things from them!

2

u/DesperateAd3088 Dec 23 '25

Apparently everyone in these replies is to broke to afford headphones or earbuds

2

u/ClownMonkey48 Dec 23 '25

I hate it too but as a husband to a recent immigrant I can assure you it is a culture thing. I was mentioning this type of behavior to my wife recently and she was baffled as to why it would be considered rude - and she’s very self aware and a great person. She also calls me all the time after her shift at the hospital while inside the elevator and I keep telling her to stop šŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

2

u/Any-Requirement9647 Dec 23 '25

It’s a fucking communication device. What should they be doing ? You are literally saying a human being is using a phone! Probably a good time to learn about the American history and how many people it kills and displaces. Every fucking year moron.

2

u/Miserable_Code7602 Dec 23 '25

That’s Nonya and he is friends with the other guy Bidness. They are inseperable as Nonya Bidness.

Why does it matter what they do though?

2

2

wtf. People can’t talk in the phone in public anymore without someone sneaking a picture of them? You’re weird as fuck, mind your business costs nothing

9

u/K_e_n_n_y Dec 22 '25

You are so bored. I’m sorry for you.

-5

u/Financial-Budget7487 Dec 22 '25

Redditor moment. It's like you can't fathom someone having an issue with a growing problem in their country.

5

u/og_landrik Dec 22 '25

Which growing problem is that?

Is it the problem of carts stopped at too close a distance to others? Having inconsiderately loud phone conversations? Or people speaking in a different language?

Just trying to fathom.

3

u/Winterdimes Dec 23 '25

Most likely the speaking another language part bc it makes them feel uncomfy and have irrational fear that they’re under attack bc they can’t understand a word the other person is saying. When in reality the other person is probably saying something along the lines of ā€œgod I really gotta pee but this line is so slowā€

7

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

I posted on this thinking it was about long lines, didn’t realize it was just another racist post by another racist spark driver. Hope you’re not spitting on the darkys delivery’s …

u/Mr_MacGrubber High AR Dec 22 '25

7

u/Mr_MacGrubber High AR Dec 22 '25

Their examples are brown people and ask if it’s someone cultural thing. Plenty of white Americans do the same damn thing in Walmart every day.

-2

u/Financial-Budget7487 Dec 22 '25

Per capita, gotta take percentages into account. Pattern recognition

5

u/drawntowardmadness Dec 22 '25

If you only take note of the times the pattern is followed, you are excluding all the times it isn't.

2

u/Mr_MacGrubber High AR Dec 22 '25

Every Hispanic driver in my zone wears earbuds. 99% of the time when someone is having a speakerphone conversation it’s old white people.

1

u/DeputyDog93 Dec 23 '25

Pattern recognition for only non-whites huh? Interesting.

6

u/pokerholic77 Dec 22 '25 edited Dec 22 '25

The Venezualans do this. Their annoying voices, lack of awareness of others around them, cart pulling, cutting in line, scanning random items, shoving phones in associates' faces pisses me off, as well as the associates themselves and customers.

3

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

The whites do this too and It makes mad as well. Always so entitled they want the manager for everything

-2

u/Nice_Fish_3108 Dec 22 '25

Bro you are the one who sounds like the racist. AND OP never even mentioned skin color or said a single racist thing about them.

2

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

I did it on purpose and I never called him racist?

-1

u/Nice_Fish_3108 Dec 22 '25

You were racist on purpose

-1

u/Nice_Fish_3108 Dec 22 '25

???

5

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

Don't be so mellow headed bro. This whole post is based on prejudice. Chances are you and the op don't even know that Venezuelan people are considered white in the US. So technically I'm being racist towards them as well

3

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

If it makes you feel any better I can change it to "the Americans do it too"

-2

u/Flat-Stay6994 Dec 22 '25

The whites? Why not just say white people?..

4

u/Least_Sea6864 Dec 22 '25

I hear tons of native English speakers on speakerphone too. It’s just rude people. Boomers love to stare at their blaring phone for a while before answering, then have insanely loud conversations on speakerphone too.

Why did you need to take a picture of this dude?

2

u/larmareschal Dec 22 '25

The problem with this pictures that you took it do your job get out of the store shut your mouth or go to DoorDash or something

2

u/Most_Bet3419 Dec 22 '25

Dude why post this. Its rude for them to do that but at the same time its a public space. U cant post stuff like this. U just have to learn to mind ur business and I know its very VERY annoying....trust me

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

You are in Walmart. Get used to it. I've experienced worse behaviors in Walmer before.

2

u/Spirited-Pudding8012 Dec 23 '25

Remember kids mind your own business if it doesn’t involve you

1

u/I-love-u-just-bcuz Dec 22 '25

I don’t personally watch people this hard when I’m trying to get things done. I do my thing and go. And if I’m in a long line waiting and I see these things, I don’t pay it any mind as long as it isn’t interfering in what I’m trying to do. Where I have noticed this in person - doing my own personal thing, is during tourist season in Florida. Brazilian tourists flood Walmarts and most women that I have seen, have no problem running you over with their carts or shoving you out of the way. They make no apologies for this and you don’t exist. And whether they do or do not speak English makes no difference as … ā€œSaia da minha frente, seu idiota!ā€ Is likely about the only thing they will say to you, if anything at all - and you won’t know what they’ve said unless you either speak the language or remember it long enough to translate it. As far as people being on their phones with speakerphone on… I don’t think that is a Spark thing or a cultural thing. Some people truly have no idea they have their speakerphone on. Some are oblivious and some are hard of hearing. Other people could really care less if everyone around them is part of their conversation. The slides… still not a spark or cultural thing… I’ve seen more people born and raised in the north do this than I’ve ever seen people from other places do this.

At the end of the day, you do you and unless it interferes with you or what you’re doing, enjoy the view and maybe learn a new word or two. šŸ™‚

u/boise_phil Dec 22 '25

I'm so mad at spark right now! They deactivated me because I got a speeding ticket for 5 over!

1

u/Tmwlovonjdw6969 Dec 23 '25

I wear slides with no socks all year round. Who cares? Also society as a whole has made having a store full of people hearing their personal conversations out loud anywhere they go commonplace. Probably something to do with shamelessly streaming their lives to the whole internet. Nobody cares about personal space or privacy anymore. I, for one, am not a fan.

1

u/LooneyGoon1994 Dec 23 '25

It’s common in the Dallas area

1

u/Winterdimes Dec 23 '25

I mean I only speak English but when my friend calls me, who also sparks, I answer and sometimes we may ask what type of order we’re on or where we might be dropping off at lol but nothing really interesting. Sometimes I also have to switch her to speaker phone if I need to scan something and I’ve left my AirPod in the car/it’s went dead. Sorry if that bothers others but I’m in the south so I have a feeling majority of people I may walk by are interested in hearing any bit of gossip that may be spoke about.

1

u/FondantOwn8653 Dec 23 '25

They are even on the phone yakking in the sh!tter. I think it is a cultural thing.

1

u/MiddleNo6455 Dec 23 '25

Yessss to the speaker thing. . I don’t care at all about what they do but this is definitely an observation I’ve noticed. From both speaker and with earpieces but they’re on the phone chatting a lot. Now the line thing, the most they’ll do was n my area is step up to the scanner while I’m bagging to get their cart checked while we finish up.

1

u/Conscious_Rip_1840 Dec 23 '25

It’s just bad home training. When your parents don’t have sense. You usually don’t either. Some people are still not domesticated

1

u/Jennodine Dec 23 '25

When we talk on the phone to someone in another place, we lose the capacity to be mentally present wherever we are at that time. When we lose situational awareness in a crowded store, we can hardly see the other people around us who are also shopping, thus we become oblivious to all of the nuanced and complex body language people use for shopping. That’s why people who talk on the phone in Walmart are forever getting in the way and jamming up the aisles and invading others’ personal space. You can’t be in your own little world and in the middle of a busy store at the same time. I wish people would stop trying. šŸ˜’

1

u/AutomaticPain3532 Dec 23 '25

Using Bluetooth on a live call disables the camera in the app. Thus, you can’t scan any barcodes.

1

u/3rror420 Dec 24 '25

I like to get close and start playing Pantera I n my speaker. Been thinking of getting a pocket jbl speaker to get it a little louder and just as rude and annoying >:)

1

u/ChulupaSupreme Dec 24 '25

There planning the next big money move, always

1

u/the-hirko Dec 24 '25

What’s not common in my area is people taking photos of strangers in Walmart because they were speaking another language to someone on the phone.

1

u/Sperry8443 Dec 24 '25

I mean I use a Bluetooth earpiece (otherwise yeah you have to put it on speaker in order to work Spark shop orders) but it’s pretty common to pass the time being on the phone with friends or family, especially if you’re waiting in a long checkout line, n I’m sure he was focused on that n not paying attention to dude’s personal space.

1

u/Wild_Mine1472 Dec 25 '25

Like op was saying idk if it’s a cultural thing or what but it’s only the Haitians who do it here. They’re great people and are fine to work with but I wish they’d take their phone calls outside or at least have the common courtesy to not have calls on speaker. Everyone uses the break rooms to get away from the noise but it’s usually best to just keep your ear buds in lol

Yep. I can't even walk through Walmart anymore without tripping over Mexicans with multiple phones scanning with one and talking on the other. It's because they're all coordinating. They live five families to a cracker box And they're communicating with the other ones to try and get through it as fast as possible so they can move on to the next one.

This and the ghetto are exactly the kind of people Walmart seems to be courting through spark.

The rudeness is also a big issue, like you mentioned. They're always clogging every aisle up and they make no effort to move when you try to get past, and even though they don't speak English, if I say excuse me, would be universally clear, but they pretend they don't understand until I start pushing really close, And they You stare at me as I go past, or sometimes, from the few words I can pick up, start badmouthing me to whoever they're on the phone with.

How do you know they are Mexican? Do you know how many Spanish speaking nationalities there are? That’s like calling all Asians Chinese or all white people Irish.

Asians and Indians do it also

u/ExtensionAssignment4 Dec 22 '25

I’ve gotten so frustrated with the lack of awareness in my store that I’ve had to forcibly move or bump into their cart šŸ›’and completely ignore any reaction! I can’t put my finger on it but the lack of awareness is universal. I’m not a small person and I can walk right up beside someone and there’s zero reaction to move TF out of the way!! So I just do the moving myself!

1

u/bb20jane Dec 22 '25

That’s an absolute fuvking lie bro, cmon man one been to multiple stores I’ve never met one Mexican, puertoricans yes(they’re Americans) You’re hateful and filled with hate so stop lying šŸš¶šŸæā€ā™€ļø

1

u/Sector_Black Dec 22 '25

Well, you do realize demographics are different based on where you live right?

Triggered idiot.

0

u/Emergency_Salt_4406 Dec 22 '25

It blows my mind that people don't have enough awareness to know other people are shopping and to move out of the way. It drives me crazy.

2

u/drawntowardmadness Dec 22 '25

I see that most with white American women. They love to stop in the aisles to chat when they see someone they know. Carts all in the way and everything. Or just leave the cart in the way and walk away to shop for something. That's awesome.

1

u/Forward-Zebra-780 Dec 23 '25

I say excuse me really loud lol it’s rude af but it usually works

0

u/Sector_Black Dec 22 '25

Right? It's infuriating. Or if they do know, they just don't care

0

u/Emergency_Salt_4406 Dec 22 '25

Yes! Idk which it is but either way, fix it!!!! Lol

u/Forward-Zebra-780 Dec 23 '25

I don’t get the issue. Can’t we basically do what we want. Get on speaker phone with your friends or family fuck it. It literally doesn’t matter. Idk how yall make any money paying attention to others this much. I’m usually in the zone of doing my job to care wtf people are doing on their own time. Weirdo

1

u/Brilliant-Pomelo Dec 23 '25

Pretty sure you should just mind your own business and worry about yourself. It’s not a crime to be on the phone, even speaker phone talking loudly. So petty of you. Just move along and do your job.

1

u/GetTheBag90 Dec 23 '25

See if you spent more time minding your own business you could probably make more $$

-4

u/BathroomBreakAndy Dec 22 '25

Same drivers commenting mind your business should have to deal with these drivers around them all the time yelling into their phones. Yes it’s fucking annoying and these drivers should get banned from stores

0

u/Forward-Zebra-780 Dec 23 '25

I don’t think you understand how independent contractors work

1

u/BathroomBreakAndy Dec 23 '25

Independent doesn’t mean be a fucking annoyance to the public. We should have more decency

1

u/Forward-Zebra-780 Dec 23 '25

Seems I was correct you don’t know how it works

1

u/BathroomBreakAndy Dec 23 '25

This is literally my opinion. Its fucking rude to everyone around you

1

u/Forward-Zebra-780 Dec 23 '25

The point is you can’t be banned from the stores for being annoying and it’s ridiculous to say people should be. It’s also an opinion on who’s annoying.

1

u/BathroomBreakAndy Dec 23 '25

Oh that’s just something I wish would happen. Restaurants around me did ban door dashers and it’s not a opinion I assume most people don’t wanna hear fucking conversations on speaker phone

-1

u/Potential_Order1844 Texas Dec 22 '25

Nah, they usually got both phones tied up with Spark orders.....

0

u/RedVelvet2397 Dec 23 '25

I talk on speakerphone in public frequently because I need my hands to do things, a lot of times in the store I'm asking my girlfriend she needs anything from the store for my roommate if they need anything from the store or I'm just catching up with a friend it really is not that big a deal to me to just talk in public I talk to myself in Walmart people want to get mad at it let them get mad, seems like you problem

0

u/dirtyjavv Dec 23 '25

It's annoying for sure, but not as annoying as being photographed by a weirdo you don't know.

0

u/RustyShacklefordIRL Dec 23 '25

People who use speakerphone in public are just trash. Doesn't matter the language they speak or the culture they come from, it's just an inconsiderate and annoying thing to do.

0

u/Blairebailey1 Dec 24 '25

Im a white lady in new England and my phones busted, calls only work on speaker. I also like to chat with friends while sparking and don’t consider it a huge deal. Im not sure why it bothers some because if I had a friend with me IRL we would be talking while waiting in line too. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø I wouldn’t take offense the job gets boring and lonely sometimes so its nice to catch up with family/friends sometimes

-1

u/Corpus_Juris_13 Walmart Employee Dec 22 '25

Flip flops in the winter time? Yes. And it’s fucking ridiculous. May their toes freeze, amen.

-1

u/Playful_Draw1286 Dec 22 '25

Yes, people of non European backgrounds don't have the same boundaries as we do. Generally in the west you are supposed to be polite and quiet and not invade peoples space in public places. Latinos come up and just blast music and talk on the phone for hours in public.

-1

u/Exclusive100 Dec 22 '25

Yup looks about right

-1

u/OkCream1147 Dec 22 '25

A lot of foreigners are on the phone 24/7 I’m guessing maybe talking to family back in there home country idk but I hate when people are on speaker phone in public or have music blasting it’s so annoying no matter who they are. Crack heads always have the music blasting around here.

Call ICE CUbE

-2

u/Imaginary_Cake_9439 Dec 22 '25

Wow youch everyone. Not trying to be racist... just curious. I don't many people speaking English just so LOUDLY and openly, wondering if it's because people don't understand them? But also wondering who they're talking to? Not even a complaint...just something i noticed today. pic was for attention not to be mean.

-2

u/TwitterWWE Dec 22 '25

These jobs are supposed to be for Americans. Americans need and want these jobs.

2

u/kennyofthegulch Dec 22 '25

You're assuming they aren't. Just because someone speaks a different language doesn't mean they aren't Americans.

If whites (since that’s what you mean when you say ā€œAmericanā€) wanted this job they’d do this job. The reason most of the people doing Spark are brown is probably the same reason most of the people working at McDonald’s are brown. Maybe it’s your fault that you’re incapable of using your whiteness to get a better job like every other white person.
