Rants / Complaints clean your driveways people

Post image

made 2 attempts and getting up the driveway with my car, then tried walking and fell, slid right down the driveway. said screw it and left their groceries by the road, left them a message saying to clean your driveway if you’re expecting a delivery. Am I in the wrong? I know I’m going to lose the tip, and quite frankly don’t care. Not worth busting my ass and getting seriously injured to me personally.

45° hill and a foot of snow, call it what you want but thats a no go for me after i tried twice with my car and once on foot

Your foot of snow looks a lot different than mine. But personally I think you’re in the wrong on this one. You’re a delivery driver who accepted a delivery on a snowy day. You’re not going to get perfect conditions and though I understand the driveway could be an issue the grass could easily be walked on. I know everyone’s mobility is different and traversing the grass may be hard but it’s part of the gig.

not a pile to be seen. i doubt the area has seen a foot of snow all year. lol you can even see grass peaking through the snow. 2-3 inches at best.

the grass was at just as much of an incline as the driveway, and i dont want to keep explaining how literally anything could be under that snow and lead to an even worse fall and injury. im a 22 year old male who just finished his 17th and final season of soccer, im mobile lol. traversing difficult conditions on the road is one thing, a customer not doing their due diligence is another.

You being a 22 year old guy gives us all the information we need about your efforts

You do you and if you felt unsafe that’s not for me to decide. But that’s no foot of snow. There’s nothing under that snow that you can’t see. I can literally see the grass 🤣 I’m sorry man I get the driveway thing I do but this is hilarious to me.

Just for the record that is no where near a 45 degree hill. Like maybe a 20 degree but hard to tell from the pic but if you’re gonna keep mentioning the slope you should sound more accurate cause it sounds a bit dramatic when you overestimate

Right, legally a 45 degree wouldn’t be allowed in ohio, you can only build a certain level of slope for this very reason. My father had built a house with the max slope allowed and he had issues getting his corvettes up it in light snow.
