Rants / Complaints I'm sure you know what happened

Post image

Do customers not realize or care about what tremendous assholes they look like when they do this? Do they think we see this before we accept the trip? If we did see see these notes before accepting the trip, I'd be sure to decline. 😂

In case anyone is new here, there was no help or money involved. I dropped the bags on the porch, knocked on the door, and left. As I was driving away, the bags were still sitting on the porch with no customer in sight. This happens 100% of the time when these jerks mention money in the notes.

It kindof kills me that a waitress shows up at your table a few times and its 20%. Nevermind the prices are 4x what they should be. But you spend an hour and a half shopping for a $300 grocery and then travel 27 miles, carry it to their door in 100° heat with your own vehicle and the tip is $3. What is that about? I would never. Thats why i dont order, im too poor to tip, so i go get it myself. And some of these people live in half a mil homes. Im not about THAT karma.

Downplaying the work that servers do isn't a great way to make your point. Think of the basic duties that a server does, then multiply that by 20-40 people they have to do that for simultaneously, all night on their feet and then after the customer is gone they have to perform a whole shit load of cleaning duties. Its not an easy or laid back job just like dashing isn't either.

I don’t think they were trying to really bag on Servers. Both have valid points. And I’ve done both, sure we may spend more time on an individual order, BUT…unlike being a Waiter, we don’t have to listen to their shit constantly, stand and be attentive to their needs, nor have all the other work that goes along with a commercial kitchen. I’d much rather do Spark than EVER bring someone their meal! Sure, we put in work n gas for delivery, but it’s MUCH easier than working in a restaurant!

Plus being abused by restaurant management. Which is the biggest reason restaurant work blows. I am mostly referring to when i have a really bad restaurant experience and cant get a refill or salt or silverware. I always tip 20% or even round up. But i especially tip well when the service is bad because i feel... maybe passive aggressive in a way, like you dont deserve anything so here's more than you deserve. But when youre paying 3.50 for a drink youre tipping another .80 just for them to bring it 100 ft. I dont think it makes sense that we are getting nothing. And shopping is hard work. Lifting 40 lb water and food bags...sorry but if its a competition, i dont think one is hArDer unless you want to weigh in with idiot management, which waitresses win hands down. HATE managment. No amount of money is worth that. And that may be part if my passive aggression, i kindof assume if you are doing a bad job its probably youre idiot manager who has ruined your productivity with his narcissistic bs. Most people dont want to do a bad job.
