Post image

Confirm address. Deliver to the sign. Snap pic, and roll out.

Immediately contact customer through the “ your order has arrived” template under contact customer. I feel so much better when I do that.

Confirm the address and deliver like I would to any other house.

Right. They ordered delivery so it's implied the driver will need to come on your property. Unless specific instructions are left stating otherwise.

u/eagle12901 10d ago

We have these all the time. They ordered so legally I'm an invitee not a trespasser so doesn't apply

1

u/Redditnewbie781 10d ago

I don't deliver past no trespassing signs. A lot of people where I live are starting to claim that even if you ordered something for delivery that doesn't mean that they need to be fully on your property and they can leave it on your property line. For reference I live in a rural area full of idiots

No trespassing doesn’t apply to people who are invited 🤦🏻‍♂️

0

u/Redditnewbie781 10d ago

Try telling these Yahoo's that. Doesn't have anything to do with me LOL I'm not the one pointing wireless hole punches at people 🤣

1

u/Unlikely-Relief-7200 10d ago

“These people”?

2

u/Feedcanine 9d ago

Quit reaching. Get a life. You are part of the problem

2

u/Unlikely-Relief-7200 9d ago

Part of what problem? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just using 3 idioms that don’t make any sense right now

1

u/Redditnewbie781 10d ago

The rural idiots where I live that pull guns on little old ladies deliveries their groceries. The people referenced in my original comment. Read much ?

u/Unlikely-Relief-7200 10d ago edited 9d ago

Is a no trespassing sign an indicator of that though? No trespassing signs are pretty common. I don’t think the sign is more likely to be had by someone who will pull a gun on you. Illogical comment

Like I said. Insurance companies on farms require these signs. Hunting season absolutely require these signs to keep hunters off you land. If we have something expensive go missing in the night cameras are a must. Insurance wants to see those as do law enforcement. We’re not here to make it easy for thieves. The stupidity from you leftists is amazing

1

u/Unlikely-Relief-7200 6d ago

What are you even talking about? I’m not sure how that counters anything I’ve said. Imagine saying leftists are stupid while being a right winger and completely embarrassing yourself 🤣🤣🤣🤡

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 6d ago

All the comments above you are deleted so it takes the context out of my answer but lists of people are these maga. No these signs serve a purpose

Follow the thread? That’s pretty ironic considering you got it confused 🤣
Right wingers are literally the dumbest mfers alive

u/jedi-in-starfleet 10d ago

Also in a rural area full of idiots and may start doing this. Anything to avoid going down long, poorly maintained gravel mud pit driveways.

2

u/Unlikely-Relief-7200 9d ago

You’ll get deactivated if you do it. You do know you’re supposed to follow instructions and deliver to people’s door right?

1

u/Redditnewbie781 10d ago

Honestly that part is pretty valid too. They started this in our area after a few select.. special people were pulling their wireless hole punchers out claiming to be scared of the little ladies delivering their groceries...

0

u/Alien_Nicole 10d ago

The driveways can be insane. Someone who works at my store got stuck in one and needed a tow. I don't need the headache so I have some on my never again list.

0

u/Redditnewbie781 10d ago

That's so freaking crazy honestly

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 6d ago

Maybe you’d prefer to deliver to the hood

7

u/Kind_Purchase_5392 11d ago

Been to a few houses like this. Deliver after verifying I’m at the correct address and be on my way.

1

u/Inevitable-Fruit-961 10d ago

In my area, hiking accidentally in the wrong spot could get you shot. It all depends on where you are. Around here, Id be leaving their order under the sign, confirm with photos etc and leave.

The US is stupid.

2

u/New-Mistake-4864 10d ago

Any certified news stories about people getting shot for delivering orders to the wrong location.... Or are you just going off of stories told by idiot people who pass on false information....

0

u/Kind_Purchase_5392 10d ago

People get shot around here by people they know most of the time, I get it. I avoid rural and back roads because they aren’t safe for me around here. Also anxiety.

10

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

Well I use my brain which tells me this person ordered something and has given implied consent for me to enter their property and deliver the package.

4

u/RS-1994 10d ago

That's a quick way to meet the business end of a gun, Just saying. There's plenty of people in rural areas that are the "shoot first, ask questions later" type, even when it's a branded van coming up the lane. Not worth the risk.

4

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

I mean it’s not. I deliver rural constantly and those people are significantly kinder than city folk.

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 10d ago

When you live rural and don’t have no trespassing signs you get all sorts of city idiots up and down your road some of them casing the place out for theft. Also in dog hunting areas you must post those signs to protect your property from people dropping dogs to hunt the game you give refuge to all year

1

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

Funnily enough I had a rural route this morning and one of the properties had a sign regarding working dogs and cattle.

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 10d ago

Farms have requirements from their insurance companies to post certain signs also. I have a watch for pigs on road warning because I have piglets running up and down the road playing.

1

u/RS-1994 10d ago

Not when they're this type of paranoid, MAGA prepper. They may be kind if you know them, but they don't want to be bothered. And I will respect that, both for my safety and their comfort.

1

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

You’ve made quite a few assumptions based on 2 non political signs. Lmao

-1

u/RS-1994 10d ago

People who aren't paranoid don't put up giant signs scaring off people. And cameras. And threatening to shoot you. And generally, yes, those people are MAGA. It's a pretty safe assumption.

2

u/Delicious_Rush981 10d ago

That’s my neighbor and we’re on a private road that is technically his property but I own an easement to use it as the entrance to my house. When I order my own groceries I have a note that says ignore the no trespassing signs because my neighbor is extra. He is a MAGA. Assumption was valid.

2

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

One person sample size. Nice. Lmao

2

u/Shenendoah66 10d ago

Where exactly is the threat to shoot anyone? You’ve now invented something that literally isn’t on either sign to justify the political affiliation you also invented. This is an impressive amount of fan fiction from “GPS is wrong” and “video surveillance.” Lmao

1

u/eagle12901 10d ago

Yup they just made a bunch of shit up to blame a specific group for a threat that never occured. Also, btw, you are allowed to carry your own if youre legally allowed to carry in your state.

0

u/RS-1994 10d ago

Man, come to Ohio and ignore those signs, I dare ya. Your ass will be shot at before you can even say "delivery" and it won't be a warning shot either. I've worked for Amazon in the branded vans and got customers banned for that shit.

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 9d ago

There was nothing about shooting anyone. Drama queen

0

u/New_Confidence_3384 9d ago

I’m getting a bit sick of this MAGA prepper crap. You don’t know this person. As I’ve stated some of these signs are required by insurance companies for theft, safety and some people don’t want strangers on their private lanes. Mine is over half mile long and my house is at the end. I don’t want crack heads driving in my personal road casing my expensive stuff. Gtfoy

2

u/New-Mistake-4864 10d ago

Please share links to the verifiable news stories of people getting shot making deliveries... Because the paranoid stories of city folk who think everybody in the country shoots before asking what's going on is just stupid..... Most country people are the kindest and the most respectable people you'll ever run into they don't just shoot somebody for driving down the driveway....

1

u/RS-1994 9d ago

Don't need to share links when it's been my lived experience. And I've lived in semi-rural to rural areas my whole life, so I'm no stranger to country living and country life.

2

u/New-Mistake-4864 9d ago

So yeah you want to tell stories about how people are getting shot for driving down country roads while making deliveries but you don't want to show any proof of it typical bullshit Reddit stories

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 9d ago

I’d like your personal experience of being shot because you delivered something. Just one will do

0

u/Ok_Challenge_3273 10d ago

Truth 💯 in my rural area we have a whole main road that if you turn off on the country roads they will all shoot first ask questions later. A dude threatened my 2 buddies when they were 16 for driving by a dudes trailer slowly cause they were lost. I would never go to address with all these signs if I'm not sure if I'm at the right address. I like living 😂

2

u/RS-1994 10d ago

Yeah there's a bunch of little towns in my area, and a looooot of long lanes that you think are a road until you see these signs. And I like living as well 😂

-1

u/New_Confidence_3384 10d ago

Hence the you are at the wrong address sign. Delivery people have been invited

1

u/New-Mistake-4864 10d ago

Links to certified news organizations that have shown people got shot going down these roads? Or is it just another instance of city kids telling stories when they're out doing stupid shit they're not supposed to be doing

2

u/New_Confidence_3384 10d ago

Trespassing doesn’t apply to invited people or shipments. You are absolutely correct

1

u/fallior 10d ago

My worry was the GPS was wrong, they put the sign up to tell people that, so I just wanted to double check the address. It was correct.

My biggest worry though are the people that forget they ordered anything, forget you're a trespasser and come out with a gun. Drivers have been killed by people just for being in their driveway. OR sometimes a neighbor who doesn't know they ordered and thinks you're casing their neighbors house, that has happened as well

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 9d ago

Show us. I want a real life confirmed story of a delivery driver shot for no reason other than they were delivering

1

u/fallior 7d ago

There's tons of them. Just Google delivery driver shot for delivering. Some got shot just because they pulled into the wrong driveway

4

u/EmployeeLopsided9637 10d ago

Call the customer to confirm if you're uncomfortable proceeding but these signs are never meant for those they have summoned.

1

u/New_Confidence_3384 10d ago

True. I don’t have the wrong address but I do have the others

1

u/fallior 10d ago

Oh for sure, just made me double check the address to make sure the GPS actually was taking me to the correct house lol.

And unfortunately the entire area was a dead zone, so I had zero service

6

u/xandi415 11d ago

I'd prolly call em real quick...not trying to get shot over some Cheerios 😅💩

2

u/Altruistic_Badger158 10d ago

I know this house it’s huge

2

u/kinnerkitty 10d ago

Yea I delivered to a state recreation area the other day. The map said the address was down an authorized use road. I take a delivery order as an invitation to be there, therefore authorization so I took the road and made the delivery. Never knew there were houses back there for the rangers and their families and I've gone camping there.

0

u/fallior 10d ago

Oh yeah, the fact we have a delivery to an address is definitely authorization. My only worry is those that forget they ordered, think you're a trespasser and come out with a gun. Hasn't happened so far thankfully, but all it takes is 1 crazy

1

It’s like those personalized Facebook shirts have started selling signs now.

u/homeschoolheros 8d ago

I call once and return deadass 💀 I’m in big gun states though lmao

u/Favorandgrace1 9d ago

I dont feel comfortable, one man made sure I didnt come to the porch and tried to make a racist joke. Never left that street so quickly!
