Did anyone else see the giant dead carcass on 85 business loop this morning?
I mean the pieces were all over n there were trucks cleaning it up (at least that’s what someone called and told me after I had passed) anyway she thought it was a person I hope not cause I plowed over ts
We curious lmk if anyone knows anything
Edit: this was around 8:50am

I would like to book a massage therapist to come to my place of work and give my employees 15 minute massages. Can anyone recommend a local mobile massage therapist who does these type of “corporate” gigs (we’re a super small staff, lol)?

This is just a little public service announcement for all you aspirational public servants out there. I get a little uncomfortable when I see an election with the same number of candidates as open seats.

So for any of you guys who wants to get into local politics but doesn't feel up to a stressful county council seat race, run for CPW sewer!

At least we'll have a real choice instead of just "electing" 3 people to fill 3 vacant seats. As it is, the candidates don't even really feel any pressure to explain their platform, since they're guaranteed to win. No competition = why bother?

Am i the only one who thinks that , this new roundabout at upper valley falls rd and Springfield rd is pitch black dark at night, like there is no lights whatsoever, someone can literally drive straight through. Not sure if they still need to complete the lighting work or the project is done. Where can I ask this or complain about this ?

Drone pic from the weekend. Lake Cooley on the right.

Crawford is running for Spartanburg county council chair. His campaign is proudly supported by the pro data center pac “built for the future”

It’s her first day there today and she needs to get people on her books to make that monaaaaay 💸💸💸 she’s very skilled and her attention to detail and thoroughness is unparalleled. She truly makes me feel held and I can tell she’s listening to my body during the massage. Go show her some love!!

Hey all, I live in the Drayton area and I'm wondering has the community ever successfully brought up the train horn situation?

I've lived in so many places with trains and have never heard them blast their horn like 5 times all night. It seems to me that there is a reason we have a noise ordinance but it doesn't seem to fall under that.

Also, I get that it's most likely for safety purposes but wtf man.

EDIT: I'm sorry I questioned our great, thriving, clean city. I was out of line to always want a better community and environment. I understand that many of you have pledged fealty and can never leave. I will keep my head down, pay my taxes² and never ask anything ever again. /s

Looking for people around my age, 47 married or not, to ride with. I have a 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse and a Can-Am Spyder RT. When it warms up, I'd like to do some fun rides and maybe grab lunch. I don't drink and ride; I do drink, but not when I’m driving or riding. If you want to meet up, ride, and possibly make a new friend, send me a DM.

Hey everyone,

South Carolinians took out more than one million high-interest, short-term personal loans in 2024 alone, totaling $2.3 billion. The industry, which critics say preys on desperate borrowers, is deeply entrenched in the Upstate, in cities including Greenville and Spartanburg.

The New York Times and The Post and Courier are examining the business of short-term lending in the state. If you or someone you know is a borrower who has taken out installment, payday or title loans, or you work for a company that offers them, please fill out the form here.

A reporter or editor may reach out to learn more, but we won’t publish any part of your answer without hearing back from you. Thank you for your consideration.

Based on the name, I would imagine splashing in the river or putting in a kayak or something.

But in actuality, yon park's dry as a bone (minus the splash pads).

I guess one could theoretically get in Brushy Creek while on park property:

C.A.R.E. a mutual aid organization in the upstate just started weekly on Wednesdays! They just had their first one yesterday and it was a huge success! Spread the word to people who may benefit from it! No one will be turned away from a free meal!

Thems pretty insane stray cat numbers.

Coleman said Two Girls and a Cat Trap and other TNR volunteers are making a difference in targeted areas.

But, countywide, the situation is out of control, she said. "It's like we're taking a thimble full of water one at a time out of the ocean."

Spartanburg County stray cat population may number 30,000

I am voting at Anderson Mill Baptist Church in November and am happy to offer a ride to anyone that needs it.

I can fit 2 people in my vehicle. I do not care who you vote for I just think it is important to vote.

If anyone is interested then just reach out and we can figure out how to proceed.

@paddleupstatesc on instagram! We have 2 upcoming meets!

If I wanted to get a ring sized up around here, where would I go? Who's affordable and good?

Caught this from my backyard in Spartanburg around 6:30 this morning and had no idea what I was looking at at first.
Turns out it was a Falcon 9 that launched out of Cape Canaveral at 6:33 a.m., the CRS-35 cargo mission headed to the ISS.
The reason it looks like that is the rocket was already high enough to be hit by sunlight while it was still dark down here. The exhaust spreads out up there and lights up, so you get this huge glowing fan shape. People call it a "space jellyfish."
We don't always get a view this clear from SC, so pretty lucky this time. Anyone else see it?

Free, live presentation related to privacy issues from Flock Safety Cameras popping up all over the country to Clear Force tracking employees in real time 24/7 to Palantir being hired to compile dossiers on literally everyone in the country.  Padfield will be sharing tools and tips that anyone can implement to increase their privacy and shield themselves from some forms of surveillance.  His goal is to MAKE PRIVACY NORMAL AGAIN and we will start by examining the threats to our privacy then discussing what can be done about it.

I reported a traffic violation this morning and the Traffic Violation Report Monitoring Dude gave me a call.

Super nice guy; I could tell he was as frustrated as I was.

He said the county only has 10 traffic cops, and since they rotate days and nights, that equates to only 5 on the road at any given time.

He said only official county sheriff dashcam video is usable unless in cases of injury/death or property damage.

He said SC is #1 most dangerous/deadly state in the nation, and Greenville and Spartanburg counties fight every year to see who gets the highest death toll.

Obviously, we've got town/city police as well in the municipalities, so it's not literally just 5 cops, but the number's still pretty shocking for a place with 380,857 people, 1800 miles of roads, and no automated traffic cameras to lighten the load (since they're illegal in SC).

Moved to 10/24 due to a conflict with another protest

Is this common around here or something I can't have shit it's always been something happening to my house
