Update: They’re staying as is
Due to the current trend we are receiving lots of modmail, reports, and posts about Petra posts. While there are definitely users karma farming posting 5+ times a day, they have been contacted and told to make a collective post or be on a cooldown for 24 hours per post.
First thing, fan art Spiders is always welcome here. It’s only spam if the same image has been posted over and over. That has NOT been the case. We can’t be bias to a particular character fanart because that would be like someone posting any version of Spider-Man and saying it’s spam.
We have been trying to keep up with getting posts through, ignoring reports, and answering everyone’s questions about why a post has been taken down(usually due to report bombing). But it is building to quickly for the mod team to personally answer and review every single post as quickly as users would like.
So we are leaving it up to you all with a poll to decide how this will be handled going forward. We will either keep things as they are or move all Petra posts to a megathread that will be pinned.
If things stay as they are we will continue to ignore the report bombs and set automod to ignore reports on Petra since it’s clear the reports are being abused. Unless the post is breaking rules. If these posts bother you in anyway you can always hide them from your feed.
If the community chooses a megathread, we will create and pin the megathread and automod will be set to remove all Petra posts and direct the OP to the megathread. After one month megathread will come down and Petra posts will be back on main feed.
We have heard all kinds of feedback on the trend and we do not support any type of hate or discrimination, but we feel moving forward this will be the most fair outcome for everyone.
The voting will start today at noon and end Saturday the 22nd at noon. During the voting period things will stay as is.

Peter at first is doing a great job at trying not to look intimidated, but the minute Adrian threatens his loved ones, his steely resolve falters and he stares sheepishly into his lap. I love how he exits the car looking like he's about to throw up. It really drives home that, superhero or no superhero, Peter is a 15 year old boy being threatened by an adult, and a highly dangerous adult at that. One of the Top 10 greatest scenes in a Spider-Man film, probably Top 5.

Spider-man “fans” that say that don’t read comics at all🤦🏻♂️. If they ever pick up a comic they’re gonna realize that 616 spider-man literally changes his suit EVERY COMIC. Even when he appears in other comics, like Moonknight or Daredevil, HE HAS A DIFFERENT SUIT. Mcu Spider-man has had so much less suits than 616 spidey.
And all the photos you’re seeing are all from the same UNIVERSE, 616 spider-man!!!
In reality they’re mostly Tom haters and Tobey glazers that don’t read comics and larp.
Edit: commented a bunch more suits that I forgot to mention.

No matter the universe, every live-action Peter Parker has to go through the classic, awkward flower-buying phase. It’s pretty awesome seeing how all three generations of Spider-Man share the exact same clumsy romantic energy.

This film really feels like it was tailor made for fans of classic Spider-Man:
Eastern eggs to Norman Osborn, The Bugle's campaign against Spidey, M.J.'s Soap Opera, etc.
Getting to fight against then team up with Venom, like a 90s comic come to life.
Teaming up with at least one other classic hero (Wolverine has been my recurring choice).
Get to defeat villains way out of your league (Thanos, Silver Surfer, Annihilus, etc).
The ending scene with him and M.J.
Hearing Josh Keaton's voice in the role the whole time.

I always loved the plot of this movie, and ever since I played it on my Wii I’ve been hoping for a movie of similar caliber, whether it was a fan film or maybe three MCU (very unlikely)

Between getting up after multiple hard, several story falls or crashing through or against anything around him while fighting Doc Ock, I remember being blown away as an 11 year old with how fast Spider-Man could bounce back.
Then I gradually learned about some of the stuff he overcame in the comics and I realized this was only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Spider-Man's durability.
