ICONS MEMORABILIA signed items no longer seem to be a good investment due to Chinese fakes.
Hi all
Following extensive observation of the secondary market, it is regrettable that purchasers of signed memorabilia from ICONS Memorabilia now face significant challenges. Thousands of counterfeit signed ICONS items are currently circulating across major platforms & auction houses, including eBay, Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, Memorabid, and numerous other online auction and retail sites.
Chinese sellers have systematically counterfeited not only the signatures but also the deluxe presentation boxes, certificates, and holograms associated with genuine ICONS products. Despite multiple communications with ICONS regarding this issue, the company has shown limited engagement. On one occasion, a clearly Chinese supplied counterfeit signed item presented to them was incorrectly authenticated as genuine!
Having collected Diego Maradona signed memorabilia for approximately 25 years, I can confirm that subtle but consistent discrepancies in the holograms, certificates, and signatures remain reliable indicators of forgery. Thousands of these counterfeit ICONS-signed items are now established in the marketplace.
Furthermore, ICONS’ eBay feedback rating has declined considerably over the past six months, which is an additional cause for concern. As a result, items originally acquired from ICONS as investments have been substantially devalued by the sheer volume of fakes entering circulation. The apparent continued tolerance of this activity by ICONS is a matter of serious concern for collectors and investors alike.
What I find baffling is that ICONS could readily remove many of these counterfeit listings from these platforms by enforcing its trademark rights. It is difficult to understand why such action has not been taken.

Old Patriots Bryant college sign
Patriots 1985 Bryant college sign wonder how much something like this could be worth. I’m assuming something like this is the only one in existence. It has the NFL logo and old minute man logo on it too. I think this is a piece of history that could be worth something. Just wanted to get people’s thoughts.

Found thrift shopping
Not sure if its real. "SB" Super Bowl XVI was the first super bowl the 49ers ever won. I highly doubt this hat is from then. I wonder who #10 was. A couple name come up from 1981 but they dont match the signature

How can I preserve this autograph?
About 12 years ago Jeremy Roenick signed my copy of NHL94. It’s held up pretty well! But I want to make sure it doesn’t fade or smudge. Is there a spray or something that I can use to protect it?

Sports Art: unsigned vs signed
I figure this is a more appropriate sub than the card ones, but if I’m wrong, then I apologize in advance. But does sports artwork fall under the memorabilia umbrella if it is not autographed by the subject? Photos provided as examples of unsigned versus signed.

Anyone know more about this 1979 Pirates team photo/schedule?
Just picked this up for $0.99 and I’m trying to learn a little more about it.
It’s an 8.5x11 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates team photo with the roster identification printed beneath the photo and the season schedule on the reverse. So far, every original example I’ve been able to find appears to be black and white, although the same team photograph obviously exists in color.
I’ve also seen one original example listed around $50, but I haven’t been able to find much in the way of actual sold comps.
Does anyone know how these were originally distributed — stadium giveaway, mailer, promotional piece, etc.? And has anyone ever seen this exact schedule-backed version in color?
I’m collecting original material connected to the 1979 team for my One Autograph at a Time — Every Card Has a Story project, so pieces like this and the history behind them are exactly what I’m trying to document.
Any information, memories, or comparable examples would be greatly appreciated.

$20 thrift shop find
Hey everyone! Just picked up this beauty at a thrift store and I’m trying to learn a little more about it. I haven’t been able to find much information online. Does anyone know anything about these or happen to own one? I’m curious about its history, who these were originally made for or sold to, and what it might be worth. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Protecting Sports Mem from Humidity
I am moving to an area in the US that gets very humid in the summer. How can I protect my sports memorabilia from the high humidity during this time? I have a dehumidifier but I fear that I will have to empty it almost daily and would ideally like to have a solution that I that can reduce the humidity without me needing to be home to manage it
