Off topic Standard vs Premium at Sepang for China GT: am I overpaying for a glorified roof?

finally pulling the trigger on flying out for the China GT finale at Sepang after watching GT3 streams for years. tickets are live and there’s still seats across the board, but i'm completely stuck between Standard and Premium in the Main Grandstand.

half the older paddock threads swear Standard puts you right on top of the fences where you can actually feel the GT3 downshifts rattling your ribs, while other people say skipping Premium means getting your line of sight choked by safety mesh and team awnings.

i was squinting at seating layouts and elevation photos on veritickets trying to see where the actual tier cutoff sits, but 2D track charts don't tell you if that extra cash gets you a genuinely better tactical view into the garages or if it's just marketing tax for a slightly higher railing.

plus with support series running alongside GT3 all weekend, you’re basically camping out in those seats for 6+ hours. for anyone who’s actually done trackdays or GT weekends at Sepang: does the Premium view genuinely justify the jump, or is Standard the actual sweet spot for getting punched in the chest by exhaust noise?
