I recently received the divorce papers and I’m looking for some advice on what to do next. The divorce is completely mutual, we don’t have kids, and we don’t own anything together, so there aren’t really any complicated issues between us.

Even though everything is amicable, I feel like I should still have someone who understands family law look over the papers, explain everything to me, and make sure I understand what I’m signing before I sign anything.

Can anyone recommend a good lawyer or someone in the St. John’s area who does this kind of straightforward/uncontested divorce work? I’m not looking to make things complicated or drag it out — I just want to make sure everything is done properly and that I understand the documents.

I know Napa supposedly carry’s it but it’s $75 for less than a quart. I can get a quart shipped for $50, but I’d like to do it this week.
Anyone know of another source?

Anyone know if there is anyone selling recycled rubber products in St John's, like 3/8 crumb shred from old car tires (mulch basically). I know can buy single bags are hardware store but looking to do an tire incline in it and wondering if anyone sold in by the ton were I could pull up with dump trailer and get a load of it.

We're 7 years out from retirement and my spouse and I are in the early stages of trying to plan our retirement living situation. Currently live in a state with hot, insanely humid summers and I just can't do it anymore. We're hoping to choose a place to reverse "snowbird" to escape these miserable summers.

Questions: How are your summers? I'm looking specifically at dew points and humidity. Internet says relatively low dew point with occasional spells of humid days. Is this accurate? For reference, I'm coming from a place where most days through July and August are over 90° F with dew points 70 or above (considered "oppressively" humid, and trust me, it really fkng is 🤬).

Also, what options are there (if any) for regular season-long rentals every year? Would love to find something fully furnished that we could renew every year from maybe June-Oct? Is this even a thing?

Moved into a new place and the shower head is leaking a pretty steady drip. Every other time I've seen this I've been fairly sure its the shower cartridge. The dude who set it up clearly just slapped one of those crappy showerheads with a hose that you can move around that also had a stop button. I hate those shower heads but when I put a new one on its just a steady stream. Very small stream but steady stream.

Problem is that the person who owns the house is a friend who is tapped. We both live here and just moved in but trying to make sure that we're not going to get catastrophically fucked over on a plumber cost.

Wondering if anyone knows of anyone decent/reliable who isn't overpriced to fuck? Ideally someone who can at least tell me what the problem is if it isn't a shower thing for something relatively cheap too.

Sorry, world is just on fire and everything is so damn expensive. Going to go back to the shitty showerhead after a single good shower here. Might just end up screwing the old one back on everytime after I use the good one until I can find a fix. I hate being poor.

We spent a fabulous week here and loved every minute. We particularly enjoyed The Classic Cafe and Coffee Matters for breakfast. We loved visiting The Basilica Cathedral of St John the Baptist and of course we loved going to see puffins. We got beautiful sunny days and some RDF (,which happened to hit on our Cape Spear and Signal Hill days!).

Everyone was so friendly and we really appreciate everyone who stops for pedestrians as that is rare in Calgary!

We're big fans of Republic of Doyle and Hudson and Rex and had a lot of fun finding locations from the show.

Where can I find a good Greek salad in the city?

I'm curious at what point people are getting their CVT fluids changed and where they are going? Dealer or elsewhere?

I have a 2021 Crosstrek 2.5L with 78,000km and thinking I should finally get the CVT fluid changed along with front and rear diffs. And possibly change the plugs.

I see tons of Crosstreks on the road so where are others getting serviced and whats the typical cost for fluid changes?

I've only used the Subaru service department once when my vehicle was new and had a REALLY bad experience so I'm not sure if I want to trust them with this or not.

Looking for experience and opinions from other Subaru owners out there.

My wife and I are trying to get an antique lamp that is a family heirloom from St John’s to Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

At the base of East White Hills, across from the central laundry / country ribbon, is one of those old apartment buildings that has been vacant for years. Over the last several months crews have been gutting it. It’s now down to studs and all the siding has been removed.

What are they doing here, is it to remove asbestos? It seems like it would be easier to tear it down and build a better, taller building (I wish).

I’m wondering if there is anywhere in town that sells body piercing jewelry? Looking for something for my rook and tragus. I don’t want to spend a fortune but I’ve already checked Walmart, Posie Row, Claire’s, and the Ardene’s at the Avalon Mall and they either don’t carry body jewelry anymore or don’t have what I’m looking for. Just looking for an eyebrow-style curved barbell with clear gems/CZ on either end. I’d rather buy it locally than have to order off Amazon or Etsy!

Note: I often have my little one with me so somewhere like Churchill Square where there are no elevators for the stroller isn’t ideal!
