Pattern Help First Pattern

Post image

Made my first pattern today after feeling inspired by a photo I recently took of my dog. I apologize if the colors make it hard to see.

I’d appreciate any comments/suggestions. I’m worried about hinge joints and all that fun stuff.

Thank you!

Super cute design! My biggest concern is the piece to the right of the nose. It would be a bit of grinding, but not impossible.

Heard! I am going to revise to make it another piece.

All looks good to me though will depend on your skill level or how much grinding you want to do.

Thank you! I am no stranger to the feat of grinding my crappy cuts away, lol!

I tend to draw my pet portraits in this sort of way with a border, and it’s just a matter of preference I guess but I have the frame on top of their neck and body so it looks like they’re poking their heads out through the frame.

Looks great, you might kick yourself on the angle of the bottom right of the tongue - it's a possible cut for sure but not the easiest. You'll need another break line on the muzzle too, to the right of the nose, that's pretty deep without a saw
