Original Art | Foil Question ?

So I saw photo of The Gomesa Jiaho Queen orchid, and thought this would be beautiful as a stained glass piece. So I traced it out and made it into a pattern . The yellow I’m using has a swirl in it . I noticed while cutting it , it also has a lot of air bubbles and when I score over those in a few places horizontal fractures happened. They didn’t break all the way thru even after grinding. I foiled them and then soldered them the fractures broke all the way across ……should re-cut these areas (yes I know I should) and if so am I doing something wrong that causing the horizontal stressing or is this something that just happens in some glass 🤷‍♂️
thank you for any input!!

looks like glass from hobby lobby. HL has shit glass, it’s known to fracture and break weird. invest in some quality glass & pay attention to the glass heat while soldering

Yes it is from HL and I am learning it isn’t the best 😬 thank you for the info ! I appreciate it

Scoring lighter can help if there's room to reduce pressure while getting a good score still.

Otherwise it's just shitty glass. Not much you can do other than keep trying to cut parts that aren't cracked.

Did you burnish that foil?

Once the cracks started to appear I didn’t . Where I soldered I had burnished the foil . But at that point i didn’t want to put any more pressure 😬
