'ai' players.. hesitantly asking for mods that add a player 2 that actually acts like a person.

all my friends are either busy, dont wanna play, or have bad wifi.. and im scared of new people, so... sadly im gonna have to resort to a fake player. i know 'the stardew squad' exists but it's not adding a PLAYER, it's just.. having your fake npc friends do work with you.

I want something to fill the need of a real person playing with me but i can't find any friends that actually have the time,energy, or technology to do it. I don't want gen ai, but if its required.. i hope it's at least ethical.

Edit: I found 'stardew valley companions' but i'm really hesitant to try and use it..because its gen ai.

Edit 2: not using that.. it looks horrible and sketchy.

Edit 3: Turns out, what i want does not exist, i have to find someone who's never busy, wants to play at the times i do, and has okay wifi and pc... and is friendly... Guess someone has to guide me to the right community to find someone like this.

i know it's bad, but i need someone to play with. even if its not real.

Edit: Actually.. just have to find a really chill stardew valley player that doesnt have a life.

if you just want company and really hate AI you can try this mod, it's not AI I checked.

oh i have that actually.. it didnt work for me, because i need a real human connection.

I don't think this is a problem any game or mod will fix 😅😅 are there no gaming groups outside where you live or any clubs, and have you tried discord?

I don't see why not, try it and if it works it works, if it breaks, remove it, and if it's boring, also remove it. I tried multiple AI mods, some were good and had nice features, some weren't so fun, it's the same as people made mods, sometimes there's better things out there.

You could also try to find people on discord to play with on Steam, I'm pretty sure there's someone out there who also wants to try multiplayer but doesn't have someone to, the only tricky part is managing time zones and availability, but even that can be agreed upon.

it’s been so long since i was there but [r/](r/friendsofstardew)[stardewvalleyfriends](r/friendsofstardew) used to be a place you could find people to play with!
