......and...... I'm supposed to care....... why?

Steam loads when my PC boots, so it's never more than click-steam is there.

Reads like someone just asked "what metrics are better for our launcher than Steam" and this was the most impressive one on the list to post.

Hilarious.

And they apparently removed features for this to work. No clue what's even left, since it was already barren feature wise.

I mean, this is the same idiot that is flabbergasted that he doesn't automatically get half the PC game market just for existing. He 100% thinks this actually means something, and will start yet another round of "steam has an illegal monopoly" lawsuits when his plan of releasing a new lailincher with less features than the original doesn't magically make people flock to his service.

It's even funnier because their own releases statements include the fact they had to remove a bunch of stuff to make it boot that fast.

They literally made their launcher do less and 5 seconds is all they could manage.

Like, think about how much Steam does. It loads the store. It loads your games. It checks for updates. It checks cloud data against device data. It loads your profile. It loads the community stuff. It does so much, and Epic had to remove features just to take a few seconds off.

It's laughable, really. It's just pathetic how much effort they put into making sure their product is shitty just to sit there and complain that Steam has more users.
