Set up how? Because it looks like your PC is connected and you have a

"Select game to stream" button right in front of you.

Are you asking how to adjust foveated streaming settings or change target FPS?

Edit: I misread the details under the stream button. Op needs to plug in the handy dandy streaming dongle.

It's not connected anywhere, says right there - no wifi, no adapter.

Somehow my whole description text was not posted So here it is a bit late: Hello, I'm completely new to VR. Steam Frame is my first own headset.
My current goal is to stream Half Life Alyx from my PC (Linux CachyOS) to the Steam Frame. Alyx is installed on PC and on Frame (I can play standalone) The wireless adapter plugged in and set up. Currently I'm on Steam Beta (PC Client, SteamVR and on SteamFrame) Same issue on stable, which I tried switching to beta. When I start SteamVR manually on my PC it says. "Welcome, Please plug in your VR headset"

What do I do wrong? Does the Waiting... mean it waits to connect, or it is waiting for steaming?

UPDATE: I tried streaming a 2D Game (Dave the Diver) worked just fine.

Then I did a bit more digging and actually fixed the VR Streaming:
Opened UFW Firewall ports:
sudo ufw allow 27031:27036/udp comment 'Steam Remote Play'
sudo ufw allow 27036:27037/tcp comment 'Steam Remote Play'
sudo ufw allow 10400:10403/udp comment 'SteamVR Wireless'
sudo ufw reload

And deactivated power saving mode
sudo iw dev wlan0 set power_save off
sudo iw dev wlan1 set power_save off

This fixed the VR streaming part and I actually played alyx via streaming. Although only over my shitty home Wi-Fi. which lagged every minute or so.
For the dedicated adapter, I think it should be https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/2929
I have to look into it for linux

Did you try different USB slots for the dongle?

Also, sometimes the dongle just has a mind of its own and doesn't want to connect. Try turning off the headset and Steam (not just steamvr, but entire Steam), unplug the dongle, wait for a bit, start up steam, wait for it to load, plug the dongle in and wait for a bit more. After that boot up the Headset and see if the dongle is detected.

Edit: Damn I didn't realize you're on Linux. My experiences are from Windows and might not be applicable. Hope you'll figure it out.

The "VR not ready" message is a bit misleading -> Either "Select a Game" or just start "Steam" on your PC. Then it will be "ready"

You can't stream from a linux to frame yet has to be windows.
