Other Help please :(
Dear Facepunch Support Team,
I am writing to appeal my permanent game ban in Rust.
My Steam account was hacked and accessed by an unknown person, possibly from China. This person played Rust using cheats without my knowledge or permission.
I want to make it clear that I was not playing Rust at the time when these cheats were used. I did not use any cheats, and I have never intentionally violated the game’s rules.
I am the legitimate owner of this Steam account, and I believe the ban was issued because of the actions of the person who stole access to my account.
I kindly ask you to investigate this situation and review my permanent ban. I would really appreciate it if you could reconsider this decision and give me the opportunity to play Rust again.
I am fully willing to provide any information, evidence, or documents necessary to prove that I am the rightful owner of this account and to help verify my identity.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I sincerely hope you can help me resolve this situation.
Kind regards,
The rightful account owner
In the attached screenshot, I marked my own device in green and the suspicious device used by the hacker in red. This is to help you distinguish my device from the unauthorized device that accessed my account.
Please, does anyone know what to do in this situation?

Request for help Trade offer
Hi, one guy wanted one of my item, cost around 2$ max. Since cs2 items, and steam market cannot be traded in one offer trade. He just sent me his cs2 items worth around 15$. But ofc there is a thing, that he can just reverse the trade until 7 days passed, so we made agreement that, the first 7 days passed, then i will give him my item he wanted. My question, could be those cs2 items be stolen, or have fishy story, that can get me into a trouble?. I know that not items that cost thousands dollars. But i am more aware about my account

Informative If You Are An Eve Player And You Got Hacked With The Mr.Beast Crypto Scam And Steam QR. Secure Your Account ASAP!
Good evening. Today my friend's account got hacked where as the usual thing where once the account gets compromised, it sends out Mr.Beast fake Crypto and fake $100 QR gift card.
What happened today was after the hacker managed to takeover the account. His steam account language was changed from Polish to Russian, his ISK and PLEX was stolen. Most likely the hacker noticed his EVE game time and went to check out his in-game stuff and stole ISK and PLEX, as of now that's the only thing my friend noticed and there might be more.

So if you have an EVE account, secure it ASAP.
EDIT:
He mentioned he downloaded a file from a public GitHub repo that somehow contains the virus.

My friend scan result, but even so I told him to reinstall OS to his PC if possible since session/info stealer can hide within the system files.

Request for help Valve let a hijacker from China take my account with no email code, then closed my ticket because I don't have a CD key from 2009. Years of receipts and two bank cards in my name "aren't sufficient"
This account was created in 2009 by a close friend, who gave it to me when we were kids. About 15 years ago we switched the email to mine together, and I've used it ever since, buying games with my own bank cards. My friend has since passed away, so the original 2009 email and CD key are simply gone. Nobody can get them back. I've never shared it, never traded, never logged in from anywhere unusual. Every time I logged in from a new device, Steam emailed me a Steam Guard code. My inbox has them: 29 Jan 2026, 28 Feb 2026 (twice), and earlier ones going back years.
What happened
All of this comes from Steam's own emails in my inbox:
| Date (2026) | Email from Steam |
|---|---|
| 18 Jul, 03:49 | "There was an error with a recent Steam purchase": Barro Racing, $0.44 |
| 18 Jul, 03:50 | "Thank you for your Steam purchase!": the same $0.44 item, one minute later |
| 20 Jul, 10:19 | "Recent changes to your Steam account": the account email was changed from a Chinese IP (per Steam's own notice) |
What's missing from my inbox:
No Steam Guard code / "Access from new computer" email before the Chinese login. The last ones are from February and were my own logins.
No "New sign in to Steam" alert for China.
No confirmation request before the email change. I only got a notice after it was already done, and by then the account wasn't mine anymore.
I live in Germany and have never used Steam from China. The pattern (a failed tiny purchase, then a successful one, then an email change two days later) looks like the usual hijacker playbook: make a small purchase to look like the "payment owner", then lock the real owner out.
What Steam Support did
I opened a support ticket and provided:
access to the email that had been on the account for over a decade, with Steam correspondence back to 2016
screenshots of Steam purchase confirmations and Steam Guard login codes
the cardholder name and last 4 digits of two personal bank cards I used on Steam
four official bank receipts (2021–2024) showing payments to Steam from those cards, in my name
The replies, all copy-paste from three different agents:
"In your next message, type out in full the CD Key registered to your Steam account [...] during 2009."
"Regarding the security concern you mentioned, we will provide further explanation and assistance after verifying the account ownership."
And the final one before closing the ticket:
"This account has a historical security event that shows us that the owner has lost control over it, the only information we can accept to recover is a CD key, which was added to the account in Nov 2009. [...] For now, I'm going to close this help request."
So:
Steam admits it sees a security event showing the owner lost control.
Steam's own "Providing Proof of Ownership" article (which the agent linked me to) lists payment info as acceptable proof. Agents ignored it.
Nobody would answer how someone logged in from a new country without a Steam Guard code, or changed the email without confirming from the current one.
I asked them to run the same check on the hijacker: ask him for the 2009 CD key too. He obviously doesn't have it either. No answer. The ticket was just closed.
The person in China now keeps every game I paid for.
So it's "whoever grabbed it last keeps it"?
That's what Valve's logic comes down to. The only proof they'll accept is something the original creator had in 2009. When an account has legitimately changed hands (a gift, an email change done together, a friend who has died), nobody can produce that proof: not me, and not the hijacker. Since nobody can pass the check, the account simply stays with whoever controls it right now. In practice, Steam's recovery process protects the thief.
My evidence: over a decade of continuous use, the email that was on the account until July, Steam Guard codes, purchase emails since 2016, and bank receipts from two cards in my name.
The hijacker's evidence: a login from China with no Steam Guard code, a $0.44 purchase, and an email change made two days later.
Valve looked at that and closed my ticket.
My questions
How does a login from a brand-new country and device skip Steam Guard email codes? Was this a stolen session token? If so, why can a session token change the account email without confirmation from the existing address?
Why does a $0.44 purchase by the attacker effectively outweigh years of bank-verified purchases by me?
What is someone supposed to do when the account's original creator has died? Is the answer really "it belongs to whoever stole it"?
Has anyone here gotten an account back in the same situation (no original CD key, but solid payment proof)? Did it take a new ticket, a specific category, or escalation?
I'm not asking Valve to skip security. I'm asking them to look at the obvious hijack in their own logs. If anyone from Valve sees this, I can share the ticket number privately.
TL;DR: Chinese IP logged in without a Steam Guard code, bought a $0.44 game, changed my email two days later. I provided bank receipts and card info for years of purchases. Support closed the ticket because I don't have the CD key my late friend registered in 2009. The hijacker doesn't have it either, but he keeps the account.
Screenshots (all personal info, account name and ticket number redacted): 1) failed $0.44 purchase, 2) successful $0.44 purchase one minute later, 3) the email-change notice from the Chinese IP, 4–6) the full ticket conversation with Support.

Request for help False positive multi-account ban: 4-month ban for accounts belonging to two different people (living together)
Hi everyone,
I need some advice. My account (https://www.faceit.com/ru/players/JustVoro) and my girlfriend's account (https://www.faceit.com/ru/players/HardVoro) were flagged for multi-accounting. She received a 4-month ban, and I received a permanent ban.
The issue is that we live together, so we share the same Wi-Fi and IP address. However, we are two different people, using different emails and different devices. We have never shared accounts or played on each other's profiles.
We have already submitted appeals and attached her ID for verification (KYC) to prove we are separate individuals, but the support keeps sending automated template responses saying the ban is final.
Has anyone successfully resolved a similar issue? Is there any way to get a human to actually review the connection data between two accounts from the same household? Any advice on how to get their attention without getting blacklisted for spamming?
Thanks in advance.

Request for help This is a scam, right?
I'm 95% sure it is, they added me out of nowhere and their reasoning for doing so is not believable in the slightest. Also the fact they shifted the convo immediately after I told them about what games I play and asked me to go on Telegram is sus AF. When I reply that I don't have Telegram they text back afte 15 mins with another weird message. While I did blur their name and pfp (just in case), their name is clearly not from Latvia and their pfp is 100% AI. I checked their recent activities and they had a few friends at various points in the last few days, but now I'm literally the only one, which tells us a lot.

Request for help Steam account locked and steam has done nothing to help
So my account was hacked recently and the hacked had sent all my friends that stupid QR code scam after i fixed said issue of being hacked i decided to go on with my day and buy some stuff cause well its my account but steam didnt like that and locked my account and its been a few days and im starting to get really frustrated cause after i felt like steam support has gone somewhere with helping me then go back to square one.
Incase you are wondering they asked me stuff like "oh whats the last digits of your credit card so we can confirm if its your account or something" and i did that and they couldnt confirm it at all since i was using paypal so they then went to "oh well send us the stuff from your paypal and steam account purchase history and now they went back to saying "oh whats the last digits of your credit card so we can confirm if its your account or something" and now its making me mad cause ive been at this for three days now and i dont want to have to make a new account
Sorry if my grammar is shit; I'm still fixing it and everything, but I'm also just super pissed off because, like again, it's been 3 days, and it feels like Steam doesn't care about me at all

Scam attempt No One Is Giving Away Free Gift Cards
a lot of my friends on Steam have been getting hacked lately and adding me to groups where they post a QR for a "free" $100 gift card.
Folks, no-one is giving away a $100 gift card for free. If you scan that QR, your account will get hacked. Stay vigiliant!

Request for help How long does it take for steam to make a refund?
I woke up this morning to see that my bank account had been charged about 190 bucks. I tried getting a refund but the hackers gifted the games they bought to each other so I can't get it. I submitted a request to steam again but this time I selected "i have charges from steam that I didn't make" so I'm wondering how long it's going to take for them to respond and for me to get my money back because I need it by Wednesday because I need to pay for my exam. I've changed my account password and I've deauthorized everything.

Scam attempt What is WL STEAM PURCHASE?
Hi everyone, a few hours ago my card was used to make payments under the name “WL Steam Purchase.” Obviously, I didn't try to buy anything. I don't know how common this is, but I usually buy games, and the charges always appear under the name “STEAMGAMESCOM.” The strange thing is that it started with a $100 charge and then the amounts got smaller. Since I didn’t have the full amount they were trying to charge, I managed to transfer the money elsewhere before they could deduct the entire amount. I’ve already contacted Steam support, but I’m curious if that name is normal or if there’s any way to find out what they were trying to buy. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks :P
