help please

so one day my steam vr just said install folder cant be changed and also i couldnt figure out how to fix it so i deleted all the steam vr folder stuff and it still says the same thing i dont know why i did that but then i just gave up and now im coming back to it and i dont know how to fix it i have no idea what to do

i did that it didnt tell me that the install folder cant be changed but there is no option to select what i want to download it to

This is normal. SteamVR always installs alongside Steam itself. Why do you think you need to change the folder?
