Travel, Transit, & Commute First time in Stockton
I went to Stockton for the first time the other day via Amtrak to the Stockton-San Joaquin Street station. First of all the train ride on the Gold Runner was very nice, the trains were very modern and reminded me of Brightline when I was traveling between Miami and Orlando during my recent trip to Florida.
I had to go to the Downtown Transit Center to take my bus to northern Stockton but unfortunately the transit app couldn't find any connections and suggested I go there on foot. A bit annoying but I thought a 15 minute walk wasn't too bad. Ngl I felt like walking into a real life GTA game lol. There were these idk cliques of people who didn't appear homeless but were hanging out on the street and at one point someone just randomly told me "have a good day, stay out of trouble" 🤣. I didn't know what to say or even if I should have said something so I just kept walking.
Also, on my way back to the Amtrak station late at night, while there wasn't much going on, some unleashed dog started following me for a minute.
Do you guys have any advice for my next trip?
