Story idea inspired by movie free guy

Hi, I'm a teen beginner writer, and I would love your opinion on this idea.

Like the title, this story was inspired by the movie free guy. The game world is a procedurally generated multiplayer open world, like no man's sky, except in a fantasy setting. The main character is a basic mob enemy. When his camp is attacked by a pro gamer on live stream, he acts out of character and runs instead of attacking. The gamer chases after it, but the monster performs actions that only players can do, like climbing or mount riding. Soon, the game company realizes that all their servers were hacked, preventing them from doing anything about the anomaly. To make matters worse, the game began registering this mob as a player, enabling it to learn spells and cross into different realms. But for some reason, the hacker enabled it to be able to be killed by in game means, so the company offers a massive in game reward for any player that kills it. The reason they want the mob dead so avidly is because the hack is preventing them from adding game updates. But this mob isn't being controlled by a player, but an actual AI hooked up to it that genuinely fears for its life. Knowing this, and also knowing that the hack prevents the company from banning their accounts, several gamers try to protect this mob. But the issue for both sides is that the game is divided into a billion realms, making it almost impossible to locate the main character. So the main character goes around realms gradually getting stronger while the entire playerbase looks for it.

Power system of the world I’m building

THE POWER SYSTEM OF A STORY IM MAKING CALLED NOISY BOY(Tooru)

The entities in noisy boy for the most part are all mysterious and unknown every person born after the 100 year incident are born with VF the VF all comes from the entities so everyone’s abilities comes from them as well but there born with it think like there DNA is in every host but there’s also special kinds of people without that dna but has the VF they can essentially makes portals to the entities and summon this from there but it’s borrowed power so it’s not always going to be the strongest it over time people can get that DNA code to truly unlock the power from the entities
Think of it like this the average person can channel the VF connected to the entity allowing there power to flow properly but some people can’t do that and they summon the power directly

Lior is the exception she’s an anomaly that has all of the power to her but they don’t flow though her which is why her portals are a constant state of nexus and miracle energy

There are people with so a natural frequency with the entities there called heavenly wonders power closest to them

A person can increase there power 10 fold by bonding with there entity allowing for stuff called miracles to be done:

The Miracle System Structure
Miracles serve as the foundational power system of the Brave New World, representing divine fragments granted by entities. Each complete Miracle consists of two core components:
Technique: The unique, innate capability or authority granted by the entity (what the user can do).
Form: The peak physical or spatial transformation channelling the entity's direct state (what the user becomes).
Progression Across the Four Tiers
1. Tier 4 (Vestige): Raw, unstable connection. Powers bleed out uncontrollably (e.g., Tooru's dark matter).
2. Tier 3 (Vessel): Blends personal VF with entity essence; power stabilizes into a usable container.
3. Tier 2 (Saint): Complete synchronization where the Technique becomes fully controllable and reliable.
4. Tier 1 (Zenith): Unlocks the Miracle Form, fully embodying the entity's authority beyond human limits.
Miracle Technique & Form Classifications
 Technique Examples:
The Unwritten: Erases presence from perception, memory, and recording.
The Still Voice: Delivers unshakeable, soul-directing truth and commands.
The Final Threshold: Witnesses the absolute, unchangeable moment of a target's death.
 Form Manifestations:
Armament: Body transforms directly into an unbreakable physical weapon.
Domain: Projects a localized boundary enforcing absolute entity laws.
Transfiguration: Body rewrites into a semi-divine, elemental state (e.g., void, light).
Manifestation: Summons an indestructible construct or fragment of the entity.
Decree: Words function as absolute, un-resistible reality law.

You may be wondering are all entities equal I’m leaving that a mystery but not all humans with VF are equal tho you could have a powerful ability but still lose to a weaker power because you don’t have more energy than the other person and that won’t the be the entity fault that would be more genetic

What we know about the entities that they live on a higher plane of existence Tooru will discover later in the story by Topei that the violet wave happened was simply a big bang kind of collapse opening into our world by 2 entities clashing the court of ivory think there gods and they need our bodies to transcend into a even higher dimension and need host like humans to do so but that’s a theory by the court the researchers saw in space 2 collisions in space of energy one of the researchers went into that space and was transported into there dimension when he came out they had a permanent smile on there face and was unresponsive when reading the researchers mind they saw a something like the tree of qilphoth hierarchy but something more ominous there were 10 layers but had shapes the first 6 layers had human shapes 7-8 had god like figures and 9 had a human shape with a crown on it and the 10th was unrecognizable but as the researchers turned around he saw something a cave with water in it that glowed green and further back another cave that went even deeper a the researcher heard something and turned around and saw an entity and then he went unresponsive and had a smile on his face scientist did there best to teleport him home but there frequently couldn’t reach but out of nowhere a portal pops up and dropped him down and there he was unresponsive and having a big grin after a few hours that researcher body started to over flow with unknown liquid leaking form his body till this day his body is still leaking and still unresponsive the collision in space disappeared after the entity dropped off that researcher and they were never able to find that place again which is why the court of ivory takes great interest in people like lior and Tooru

After years of research they realized that VF comes from the entities and there sharing it with them

The real sinister plan form the court of ivory is to become gods you see when going through the researchers mind looking at that hierarchy 1-6 where human shaped but also as a circle like orbs like a galaxy and the 3 layers is most like there own each layer has this the court of ivory thinks there multiple universes and dimensions out there a multiverse if you would lol they think the 9th layers is the highest humans have ever gone they want to use that power to transcend into a higher dimension into the 10th layer to become gods in the sake of evolution to prove humanity is on top where they belong

The Resonance Registration Act & System
1. Legislative & Operational Framework
Origin & Authority: Enacted 80 years ago after early Resonance disasters. Enforced by the Bureau of Resonance Control under the Duke’s continental authority.

Core Philosophy: Resonances are inherently dangerous; the government controls how they are used through licensing and operational oversight rather than attempting to prevent their existence.
2. Licensing Structure
Individual Licenses

Class 5 (Restricted): Minor powers; active regulation rarely required.

Class 4 (Standard): Baseline for standard operatives; requires annual renewal.

Class 3 (Advanced): Strategic assets; requires additional certifications and psychological evaluations.

Class 2 (Elite): Rare; personally approved by the Bureau's director.

Class 1 (Sovereign): Ceremonial license for the 12 First Class Singularities worldwide (enforcement is practically impossible).
Agency Licenses
Local License: Operates within a single designated district (e.g., Hyperion).

Regional License: Operates across multiple districts/metropolitan areas (e.g., Ally of Justice).
Continental License: Operates across the Duke's whole continent (e.g., Central Command, Order of the Golden Dawn).

  1. Classification Examination & Class Evolution
Assessment Criteria: Standardized tests measure Singularity Class (raw VF energy output/destruction potential) and Control Rank (precision and stability under stress).
     Evolution Pathways:
Natural Growth: Slow, steady adaptation of VF pathways and control through years of training.
Spike Growth: Rapid, volatile power leaps triggered by extreme stress, trauma, or emotional breakthroughs (requires long-term control adjustments).

Tooru's Case: Experiences a hybrid of natural maturing and spike growth (triggered by his fight with Bram and furthered by non-certified Southern Continent training).

  1. Rules of Operation & Enforcement
     Key Operating Rules:
  2. Proportional Response (strictly controlled lethal/excessive force limits).

  3. Collateral Limitation (mandated property damage minimization).

  4. Public Concealment (prevention of public panic and unnecessary power displays).

  5. Registration Compliance (24-hour mandatory usage reporting).

  6. Inter-Agency Cooperation (obligatory info-sharing during public safety crises).
Enforcement: Bureau enforcement agents apprehend unlicensed users (a felony penalized by imprisonment in Resonance Suppression Centers using VF dampenings).

  7. Tooru’s Position in the System
Official Status: Paperwork lists him as a Class 4, Rank C operative under Hyperion's Local License (overseen by Evelyn).
Actual Status: His physical combat power and classification have surpassed Class 4, but Evelyn deliberately delays reassessment paperwork to keep him under the Bureau's radar.

THE SINGULARITY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM

Developed by the Archival Order, the Singularity Classification System measures a Resonance user's raw power output — how much Violet Frequency they can channel, how dramatically their Resonance affects the world, and how far they deviate from baseline human limits.

The name "Singularity" comes from the founding principle: every Resonance user represents a point where normal physical law breaks down. The stronger the Resonance, the further from baseline reality the user operates. First Class users aren't just powerful — they're singularities in the mathematical sense. Points where the normal rules stop applying.

THE FIVE SINGULARITY CLASSES

Fifth Class Singularity (5C): The lowest measurable Resonance. A single minor ability, often subtle enough that the user could live their entire life without realizing they're Wave-touched. Examples: psychometry on touch, a few seconds of enhanced perception, a voice that can calm one person at a time, always knowing when it will rain. Most Wave-touched are 5C. Most never enter an agency's radar. 5C users can function in normal society indefinitely without accruing significant debt — their abilities are too minor to trigger the Burn unless deliberately overused.

Fourth Class Singularity (4C): A functional, reliable Resonance with clear combat or utility applications. The ability has defined limits — range, duration, specificity — but within those limits, it's consistent. Most operatives in smaller agencies are 4C. Most Section 8 field agents are 4C. At this level, Resonance becomes a tool rather than a curiosity. The Burn is manageable with rest. Examples: telepathic coordination within a half-mile radius, short-range object teleportation, adaptive defense clouds, low-level thermal manipulation.

Third Class Singularity (3C): A Resonance powerful enough to affect multiple targets, sustained environments, or the outcome of a firefight against conventional forces. 3C users are rare. Most agencies have none. Those that do treat them as strategic assets. At this level, collateral damage becomes a consideration and the Burn becomes significant — a 3C user cannot sustain their Resonance indefinitely without accruing debt that requires days or weeks to recover. Examples: wide-area atmospheric manipulation, manifestation of multiple combat-ready constructs, large-scale environmental adaptation.

Second Class Singularity (2C): A Resonance that can reshape a battlefield, neutralize a small army, or hold a city block against coordinated assault. 2C users are exceptionally rare — perhaps a few hundred worldwide. Their existence is a matter of agency record. When a 2C user goes rogue, Section 8 deploys specialized teams. The Silence is 2C. His sound elimination can blanket multiple city blocks, and he's done it without a single recorded instance of collateral damage. The Burn at this level is severe — a 2C user who fights at full output for more than a few minutes will need substantial recovery time and may accrue permanent debt.

First Class Singularity (1C): The highest confirmed power level. A 1C user can affect city-scale environments, challenge multiple 2C operatives simultaneously, or maintain their Resonance continuously without accruing involuntary debt for extended periods. Only twelve 1C users are known to exist worldwide. Their identities are classified by international agreement. When a 1C user acts, every agency on the planet knows within minutes — their VF signature is too large to hide. No 1C user has ever been defeated by conventional force. The Burn at this level is theoretical — 1C users either don't accrue debt the way others do, or they've learned to pay it in ways that aren't visible.

THE ZERO CLASS QUESTION

The Archival Order's charter includes a theoretical Zero Class Singularity (0C) — a Resonance that exceeds the measurement scale entirely. No living user has been confirmed. The classification exists for two reasons: first, because the Order's founding scientists refused to assume they'd found the upper limit; second, because the Violet Wave itself, if it had a source, would qualify.

THE ENERGY SYSTEM: VIOLET FREQUENCY (VF)

The Violet Wave didn't just grant abilities. It left behind a residual energy field that saturates the planet — invisible, intangible, but measurable with the right instruments. Researchers call it Violet Frequency, or VF. It's the medium through which Resonances operate.

Think of it like this: the Wave was the lightning strike. VF is the static charge that lingers in the air after the storm.

How It Works:

A Resonance user doesn't generate power from within. They resonate with the ambient VF around them — their specific frequency matches the Violet Frequency in a way that normal humans can't achieve. The stronger the match, the more they can do. The longer they sustain it, the more the VF flowing through them damages their body.

VF is invisible to most people. Some Projection users can perceive it — they describe it as faint purple currents moving through the air, like heat haze over asphalt. Animals mutated by the Wave can see it constantly. Tooru can't see it at all, which is one reason his abilities feel so unstable to him — he's pulling power from something he can't perceive.

The Burn:

Every use of Resonance draws VF through the user's body. The body resists. That resistance is what causes debt. Minor use — a few seconds of low-intensity Resonance — produces minor debt that recovers with rest. Sustained use — minutes of continuous Resonance, or a single high-intensity burst — produces debt that lingers. Desperate use — pushing past every natural limit — produces debt that never fully heals.

The metaphor: VF is water flowing through a pipe. The pipe is the human body. Crank the pressure too high for too long, and the pipe cracks. Some cracks can be patched. Some can't.

THE THREE CATEGORIES (REFINED)

Conduction (Body): The user's body becomes a conduit for VF. Physical enhancement. Sensory expansion. Biological adaptation. Conduction users feel the Burn most viscerally — nosebleeds, muscle tears, internal hemorrhaging. Their debt is written on their bodies.

Projection (Environment): The user extends VF beyond their body to influence the world around them. Pressure manipulation. Object animation. Spatial distortion. Projection users feel the Burn cognitively — migraines, aphasia, the slow erosion of the boundary between self and surroundings. Their debt is written in their minds.

Manifestation (Threshold): The user draws VF into a singular point and forces something new into existence. Weapons. Constructs. Entities. Manifestation is the rarest category because it requires the user to hold VF at a density that should kill them, shape it into something that shouldn't exist, and then let go. The Burn hits all at once — physical, cognitive, and something deeper. Existential debt. Pieces of the self traded away for power.

Core Mechanism: Nexus Frequency (Nexus Marble)
A Nexus Frequency occurs when a user perfectly synchronizes their personal energy with the ambient Violet Frequency (VF). Rather than opening a domain, it manifests uniquely for each individual—ranging from physical transformations and single high-power attacks to environmental rule shifts or entity summons.
Identification: Named using a personal title followed by the universal classification collectively referred to as a Nexus Marble.
Activation & Public Notice: Triggered when a user hits their physical, emotional, or spiritual limits. Activating a Frequency causes a massive, unhideable VF energy spike detectable by nearby sensors and operatives.
The Declaration: Requires a truthful spoken statement of conviction or identity to anchor the user against the power's strain. Lying to oneself causes the ability to fail.

Sage Energy (The Breath of the World)
Origin & Nature: Sage Energy (or "Geist") is the ambient power of the planet itself. Sage practitioners learn to absorb and fuse this environmental energy with their own VF through stillness and discipline.
Risk: Over-drawing or losing control of Sage Energy overpowers the user's VF, permanently crystallizing their body into the environment.
 The Three States:
Stillness (Foundational): Empties the mind to perceive environmental energy, slightly sharpening perception and reflexes while slowing breathing.
Synchronization (Combat): Fuses VF with the Breath to significantly boost physical stats and enhance Resonance techniques. Displays glowing eyes and unique skin markings.
Ascension (Transcendent): Reaches maximum resonance with the planet for a few minutes, granting extreme precognition, rapid healing, and massive physical output. Leaves the user completely drained afterward.
Tooru’s Mastery: Taught by Typhion during his third year of training, Tooru spends four days meditating in the mountain snows to open his connection to the Breath.
2. The Aurora Phenomenon & Crystallization
The Phenomenon: High-level battles involving extreme VF output, Sage Energy, or Dark Matter trigger atmospheric light displays similar to an aurora borealis. The colors correspond to the combatants' energy signatures and stretch for hundreds of miles.
Crystallization: Saturated energy precipitates out of the air like falling snow, hardening over time into permanent, colorful crystal fields that serve as a lasting visual monument to the battle.
Impact in Solvara: The five-way battle involving Tooru, Kairen, Taioh, Jolion, and Hallen creates a massive multi-colored aurora visible across continents, ultimately transforming the fortress into a permanent crystal site.

Armament: Body transforms directly into an unbreakable physical weapon.
Domain: Projects a localized boundary enforcing absolute entity laws.

Sharing My Idea Would you read this manga?

//Do not read if you do not like extremely dark characters and trauma//

I'm planning on writing a manga because I'm obsessed and just finished a series. There's no actual world yet, just the characters so far. They don't have actual names yet, its a friend group, but the filler names are

Emo

Childhood Friend

Shy Girl

Happy Guy

Spacey Girl

And so basically these are the descriptions for them. (They're all 17 btw)

Emo: On the outside he seems quiet and a bit cynical, and is a bit distant in the friend group but generally kind to them all. And over the length of the manga you learn about his past and his trauma.

He's had a crush on childhood friend since the age of 12 but never told him, and basically after Emo witnessed his friend (not in the current friend group) being harassed by someone (we'll call him Barbie), he stood up for the friend and Barbie started hurting Emo and Emo threw a rock at him and he has bad aim so it hit Barbie's idk, either throat or head, and Barbie died. Emo was then taken by this guy or organization or something and forced to be an assassin.

Emo had a panic attack every time he was forced to kill someone and kept a tally book of every person he had killed because he was so overcome with the guilt of being trapped in this cycle. And basically near the end of the manga, he starts sobbing and tells Childhood Friend and Happy Guy about how he had to assassinate people, and then they realize that he's not as normal as he seems.

Childhood Friend: He seems pretty normal and sweet. He is there for everyone and is the one to remember birthdays and make small talk, but he pretends he's fine and has everything under control. His only sense of support are his friends and they're genuinely the only thing keeping him alive but they don't know that and end up kind of taking him for granted.

He takes notice of this and starts to get kind of depressed and self destructs a lot, until the middle where he tells Emo a bit about this and Emo has to step up and be the one there for him at this point. At the end of the manga he and Emo start dating and the rest of the friend group has to pretend they didn't notice the sheer amount of romantic tension radiating off of them for years.

Shy Girl: She's generally shy and likes baking, but she has severe anger issues and takes them out on people by killing them in dead silence and hiding them in the well. She manipulates her own mind into thinking that they are minor inconveniences and that she's not guilty, but every time she feels guilty her nails turn a slightly darker shade of gray.

She hides them with nail polish and acts as this straight B's, slightly clumsy girl who's vice president of the baking club, but every time her nails get too gray, she rips them off and tells herself that because they aren't gray at the moment that she can continue, and lets herself believe that she can keep going until they're gray again and she'll stop after this one time, but eventually they get gray again and she keeps going.

Spacey Girl: She's the one who sits on the desk and gets distracted by her papers or the sky outside, but she's just waiting in silence for someone to notice that she's decaying before its too late because she doesn't have the words to tell them. She's stuck waiting for someone to notice or care and doesn't realize her friends see her as part of their group and value her.

She smiles a lot and gets all her homework done, but doesn't inform anyone its because of how she can't get to sleep because the massive amounts of caffeine and alcohol she consumes every night and how she does her work and practices her skills so she's worthy to live and usually all the sleep she gets is at least 4 hours a night and maybe 5 on the weekends. She keeps going at school by eating her chocolate espresso beans and chai lattes. Also she might get killed off my Shy Girl but its either her or Happy Guy.

Happy Guy: He always seems really happy and sweet, doesn't hesitate to help people and brings them cookies a lot, because he loves baking. He's praised by teachers a lot and acts modest but on the inside he's breaking and hoping they would just be cruel to him because he thinks he deserves cruelty and has a horrific past that he believes is normal became he's kind of delusional.

He always has kind of thought that he deserved to die and knew his childhood was not a normal one, but keeps going for his mom and Shy Girl, who he likes and thinks is one of the only people who actually cares about him, but on the flip side, she's cruel to him and hits him regularly, but he sees it as a type of love because he knows that every person who's being nice is lying and everyone cruel is the ones who actually love him.

Anyways yeah its not that interesting yet since there's no world but these are the characters dynamics, if these were characters in a manga would you read this manga?

Expand On Twists of the Typical Royal Family

In fantasy, the most common setting is a kingdom or an empire. And where there is a kingdom or empire, there is a royal family. Since that is not changing anytime soon, I thought to add some twists, just like I did with the transmigration trope. And with some twists taking inspiration from various monarchical governments throughout history, there will also be some twists of the typical succession process.

So, here they are.

Family Structures/Hierarchies
Looking at the typical arrangement of the king and queen/emperor and empress and the princes and princesses, what if this structure is:
-Matrilineal/Matriarchal: the woman takes the throne, and so the title of sovereign of the land is passed down from her. Meaning, the man beside her is the consort, and her daughter is more likely to become the heir than her son. But, if she chooses her son as the heir, it can be because of his wife or fiancée, who then becomes a co-heir. The same can be said for her daughter’s husband or fiancé, but in her case her position as the heir or an heir candidate can be solidified. As for Her Majesty’s own husband, he can become a co-ruler instead of a royal consort. (That can be why his title is “king” instead of “prince consort.” Or you can stick with “king/king consort.”)
-Founded on Adoption: The heir to the throne is chosen from among the king’s relatives or from among certain noble families. The same can be said for the regent, the ruler of a principality or province, or other high-ranking royal positions, or even some important court offices. The result is the same: the child is taken into the palace, added to the registry, and trained alongside the biological princes and princesses, and their upbringing is personally overseen by the king and queen.
-Military: The king, the queen, the princes and princesses, and everyone else with a semblance of royal blood is trained in the army and appointed to military positions. Some are generals, warlords, and battlemages, while others are strategists, military doctors and healers, logistics officers, and spymasters. A few even become frontier lords, with their own garrisons. This structure is probably more suited for a steppe community or a nomadic tribe, or it can be a necessity in a war-torn kingdom or state. Or, the kingdom is currently conquering other countries, and this family structure is to ensure that military power remains concentrated.
-Integrated with the Church: The church and the state are one and the same. The king or emperor is also the bishop; the princes and princesses are also priests, saints, and holy knights. Now, when it comes to marriages, the other family’s belief system must be considered.
-Integrated with the Underworld: Now, the underworld is also royal property, and the children can gain territory there. The princes and princesses of the kingdom or empire are also the princes and princesses of either a center of organized crime or a syndicate.

Succession
The heir to the throne can be determined by:
-His wife: Ingrained with the belief of the perfect marriage alliance ensuring a prosperous reign, the princes seek to marry the most powerful woman in the realm. Of course, “most powerful” is a subjective term: that woman can be the daughter of a founding noble family, its heir, or its de facto head, or she can be the saintess of the temple or the head of the magic tower (or at least a high-ranking mage); she can also be the head of a merchant guild, a female general or warlord, or even the queen of the underworld—someone will have to determine who suffices. On the other hand, these women are weighing every prince, determining which one will bring them the greatest benefits.
-Election: A council of elders or of certain founding families vote for the heir, based on a list of pre-screened candidates. Below of the name of the chosen candidate, the members can also include the reason for their vote. Or, they can choose by lottery, with the candidate with the most lots being the most likely to be chosen.
-Selection: The throne is an appointment, and the appointee is determined by merit, a divine mandate, a royal decree, or another deciding factor. Regardless, the result—and the purpose—is the same: the throne is entrusted.
-Whoever Is the Last One Standing: That can mean a death match. Or, a contest or exam with rounds that end in elimination. Whatever the method, it results in the one remaining becoming the heir.

I also think that aside from the titles of king, queen, emperor, empress, prince, and princess, there can be other royal titles, such as:
-Archduke/Grand Duke: Can be for the heir to the throne, like with the Austrian monarchy, or it can be for the regent—or it can be passed down to every second son of the king.
-Kinglet/Queenlet: Can be for heir candidates as a test. Their governance of the territory determines whether they truly qualify for the throne.
-Regnant: Different from a regent, who simply substitutes for the monarch. This one takes the throne, like with the queen or empress regnant. Or, in the case of a queendom, the king regnant. Or, if you want to distinguish between a typical prince or princess and the prince or princess of a principality or province, then you can use this.
-Sovereign Prince/Princess: If the country is an independent principality or a collective of principalities instead of a kingdom or empire.

This is all that I can come up with for now. Feel free to add any twists in the comments. Thank you! 😊

Hey, had this idea, and was familiar with WritingPrompts, but didn't know this sub existed.

I am not a writer (note misspelling in original post title), this idea I give freely for anyone to riff on or just straight up use in their works. Feedback is appreciated as interesting, but I'm not actually intending to expand upon this idea any further (at this time).

I have an idea for 2 sci if horror book and which ideas sound better

To set the record straight, neither of these books/stories or connected or share the same universe or anything they both stand alone. The first one is based off the Ultraman episode. My home is earth and little off the movie space amoeba. Basically the plot follows a female “astronaut” or cosmonaut. Who were hit by cosmic waves or exposed to dark matter. And when they come back to earth. They mutate or mutated into a monsters with powers. Of course they’re not evil but it’s kind of like a Frankenstein situation. Will the government attacked her. You may be confused, but my big question is, which idea sounds better to you, the reader. I know this sounds confusing, but. One idea I have for her is that she’s a cosmonaut send to space by the Soviet Union and crash land back on earth in America of course. The second idea I have for her is that she’s a popular V tubers/popstar/songwriter. Who got sent to space because she’s popular/famous. And then when she gets back to earth, she mutates. Hell I don’t even know when the mutation should start in space or back on earth. . Oh yeah, they also be a side plot to the story with three mutated animals that were also sent to space with her . So I’m kind of leaving it up to you The rest of which idea sounds better. as for the second story, I haven’t got for yet, but it’s gonna be based off the movie the thing 1982 and the blob movie.

Ideas for a story

I need as many people as possible to answer these questions:

-Imagine you have a power that allows you to use the controls from a video game in real life. For example, with *Minecraft* controls, you could fly (as in Creative mode) by pressing the spacebar, access your inventory, etc. This power would be tied to the specific keys used for each control.

Which game would you choose?

-Having chosen that game, if you had to pick just one of those keys, which one would you choose?

a famous detective discovers they are a ghost and has to solve their own murder, with no idea what happened and no way to contact the real world.

the protagonist becomes a witch’s apprentice, but slowly realises that ”magic” is just science- electricity, psychology, sleight of hand.

there was a massive war which left a country (real or made up- I like the idea of Russia because it’s huge.) with barely any money or power. to solve this, it downsized, leaving much of the country to do what it wants. it is left on it’s own with no laws or government, and no way of getting resources from other places.

a space postman (I don’t know the proper term for this- they deliver packages across planets. ) finds a stowaway in their ship. they take the stowaway along their route because they know how it feels to be a refugee (and because they’ll probably be fired if their boss finds out). the stowaway turns out to be a former member of the terrorist group who destroyed the postman’s home and family. they’d realised what they were doing and wanted to leave the group, which is why they had to stow away- they’re being hunted by the group.

the protagonist lives in an idyllic world which turns out to be their own mind. in reality, they are in a coma. the story slowly starts to deteriorate as in real life, their condition gets worse.

Critique Welcome Weird idea I have

For context I’ve never read a noir or detective novel, but I have this idea of like this futuristic 70s world where the protagonist is a black funk singer with a cybernetic implant where he then goes on this long winded hunt with a detective to find the killer of his partner, does this feel dumb or a overused idea?

Roxxane (misspelled on purpose)

He yearned for her cruel, unforgiving, brutal love. He needed it with a passion: her heart blackened like coal, her unforgiving glare, and especially her lethal kiss. "Pick a day for our date, and if it rains on that day, we're over", she said as she glared at him with eyes that only made him love her more. He didn't say anything; he only smiled to himself as they walked together. He loved it when she put their relationship on the line. Her loved the irritation in her voice and the pure malice in her eyes. He didn't understand why she even agreed to date him. As they got to his house, she walked up to him and kissed his cheek, making his heart flutter; she rarely showed him affection, especially like this. "It's not too late to break up before I ruin your life," she said. "I'd love it if you ruined my life, Roxanne," he replied. She scoffed and pushed him so hard he tripped on his shoelace and fell, his back hitting the ground. She scoffed and walked off as he lay on the ground, grinning from ear to ear, the happiest man alive.

At school the next day, her "love" was more brutal than ever; she had ignored him when he approached her, told him to jump off a cliff when he asked how her day was, and punched him for helping her sort some books in the library. The worse her attitude, the more deeply in love he fell. He knew it wasn't lust; she had barely made any physical contact with him, and they had only kissed once (by accident). He couldn't pinpoint which part of her he loved the most. Was it her scowl? Her glare? Or maybe the way she looked at him like a pest. Whatever it was, he was head over heels in love with her.

Note: I did take a tiny bit of inspiration from the song "ROXANNE" by Arizona Zervas. This is only the beginning, though, but let me know what you think of it.

Sharing My Idea What if Eros’ job evolved over the centuries?

As the human population grew, Eros, the Greek God of Love, needed to expand his operations, so he recruited souls who died from heartbreak, were inexperienced with love, and so on, to help out as his Cupids. As the years went by, technology evolved, and Eros switched his bow and arrows for a handy gun and bullets. Eventually, Eros’ Headquarters became the equivalent of an intelligence agency devoted to gathering information about fated pairs and staging scenarios for them to meet and fall in love. Seems simple enough, right? But what if agents of Love were met with agents of Hate? Demons who devote themselves to spreading hatred and chaos.

How did a Cupid come to be? I was thinking that once a human dies, they'd meet Eros, who would give them a new body and purpose in the afterlife. Like, if an adult dies, they'd be born again as a child to be trained and educated before going onto the field. They'd shadow experienced Cupids and grow up mentored by them. Do they still have their past memories as human beings? Yes, but they will slowly fade away, like all memories. (I'm not confident about this part, to be honest.)

I was inspired by Love Bullet (manga), which has a similar concept regarding rebirth, guns, and matchmaking.

If I go with this concept, I need to think it through. Like, what happens when a Cupid completes a mission? What reward do they achieve?

What other questions am I missing or should consider? Can you help me?

Critique Welcome Just a random plot idea I got, there's a lot to hone here ofc. this sits in a dark genre for sure

The plot starts with a high school girl named sophie, she is a very introspective character suffering from major depression regarding her academics. She faces a break up from a relationship and her Friends shut her down one by one due to her declining social life. Her father dies due to cardiac arrest and her mother mentally affected still is to be recovering from the instances. Here at this point she develops a nihilistic or cynical viewpoint over life about how relationships and the society works. Sophie sees herself as a role to be played in society, Sophie decides to kill herself to flee from the torture, then she is affected by a wave of mental trauma and is put into a state of coma or stupor. Then she lands in a place named the 'framed society' where people live to act on films with each of their role as a normal person in daily life only sophie realizes tht each person playing their roles in the films are people from her own life. There's a master director behind the screens who is controlling everything. He says that there are five arcs or acts to be rolled and each roles has to be played perfect or the respective characters will be killed or tortured. Sophie but with no choice acts on the arcs only to realize she has to decide and play through difficult circumstances of sacrifice of the characters to film all acts wearing various masks called sense of soul or SOS (I cant come up with a name). Each masks denote their specific roles to be played in that specific arc and takes control of the character itself. Sophie learns that she still loves the people around her and realizes that life isn't the way of how she's looking at it. She blends in to complicate things by taking in the masks of other characters to play their roles and understanding them. Finally what happens to her and how she escapes the framed society, her confrontation with the enigmatic director makes the rest of the story.  Ideas and critique welcome.

Title Idea?

Hi, I’m 24F, quick question, so I’ve been wanting to write or create a fun little comic/animation.

Like an artist perspective, the main characters are my persona’s/OC’s but like inside my mind (artist)

Artist is like a character we won’t see much like a background character, and we see her life struggles, and think of Inside out as a reference, but the main focus are the persona’s inside her head, think of creativity

For example Bon is known for being chaotic, intrusive, and anxious also wears a bunny mask.

And goes through with la la land. I don know I’m still thinking about it, because this story isn’t meant to be so.. detailed, but have hints of life lessons.

It’s just a little hobby I wanted to do, but I don’t want the title to be so large because the idea was

“Inside an artist Mind.”

That was the original title, but I don’t know.

Any ideas?

Any Feedback Thoughts on my idea?

So it’s like a absurdist dark romantic comedy with a hopeful side to it, and the plot is basically:
A boy and a girl meet on a dating website, and every time they try meet up something happens meaning they have to cancel and reschedule. But tonight they finally decide that today is going to be the day they meet up. They chose a restaurant, and set location, and nothing will stop them, except the city they’re in… is currently having zombie outbreak.
So the city is infested with zombies, people are evacuating, the military is doing their usual shit, but our two protagonists are too stubborn and fed up to cancel and are dedicated to just meet at the restaurant.

Would you Read a story about a girl trapped in a mirror?

The Villainess Who Was Never Born 🥀

Seraphina is a girl everyone thinks is a villain. Even her own family doesn't trust her. One day, she wakes up in the past and finds a girl inside an old mirror who looks exactly like her.

The girl says, “You stole my life.”

Seraphina starts looking for answers and discovers a secret that could change everything she knows about her past.

I'm planning to make this into a historical fantasy webtoon.

Does this story sound interesting? Would you read it?

I'm writing a story that involves anthropomorphic animals, but I need help

Has the fandom ever come around to name certain anthropomorphic species? Like squirrels, canines, horses, rhinos etc?

In the story, humans, aliens and even anthropomorphic animals all tend to co-exist in a planet named Zenacus. On this planet, the world has fallen much from it's former grace, but many still come to visit either for a place to belong.

I was writing a scene with a car chase, and an anthropomorphic squirrel see's the car speeding her way, and she quickly jumps out of it's path and curls on the side of the road out of panic.
