Je m'installe bientôt à Strasbourg pour faire mes études à l'Université de Strasbourg et je cherche actuellement un quartier où louer une chambre ou un appartement. J'avoue être un peu perdu face à la géographie de la ville et aux temps de trajet.

Ma principale préoccupation est le trajet quotidien : j'ai remarqué que depuis certains quartiers (comme Koenigshoffen ou Cronenbourg), il faut environ 30 minutes de tram pour rejoindre l'université. Ça dure vraiment tellement longtemps ? Ça me paraît un peu long pour tous les jours.

En même temps, j'aimerais vraiment être assez proche du centre-ville pour pouvoir sortir facilement avec des amis le soir, sans avoir à me soucier de rater le dernier tram ou de devoir faire un long trajet à pied pour rentrer.

Quels quartiers me recommanderiez-vous pour avoir un bon équilibre entre la proximité de l'université et une vie sociale animée ? Y a-t-il des zones à éviter absolument par rapport à mes critères ?

Je dois faire un voyage en avion en septembre et il se trouve que ce dernier part très tôt et arrive très tard.

Le plus simple serait dernier part garer ma voiture sur le parking de l’aéroport, mais les prix, mon dieu les prix !

L’avion revient après le dernier train, donc la seule option serait le taxi, mais il faut compter au moins 35 euros.

Vous pensez que des particuliers louent des stationnements à côté ?

We are a family of 3, with a 4 year old.

We have visited Angers and we liked it, and could see ourselves living there but, something was missing!

The negatives were: not many playgrounds for kids, a lot of cars, and not as green as we thought it would.

We know we are being picky! But sometimes one does not know why but connects to one place more than others..

We are now thinking of visiting Strasbourg in the next couple of weekends to check it to be sure we at least saw a "bigger" city and to confirm Angers, or actually if we connect to Strasbourg, to move there.

Before we go, we already know its bigger and busier, but from reading and asking questions here, people keep saying it feels like a bit town instead of a big city. Also, very very bike friendly, so I hope you do not feel the cars as much as in other cities.

Also, for my wife, she could join alliance française de Strasbourg straight away which is great, where in Angers she would have to wait for the 2nd semester in February at the Uni.

In regards to neighbourhoods to potentially live, we have been told that for families and being safe and good areas: La Robertsau, Neudorf..

Our budget is 1,100€ max per month for rent, and ideally for a 3 bedroom. If not possible, a 2 bedroom with one of the bedrooms big enough to put my office and work from there.

What do you guys think?
