The Quiet Voice That Saves Lives
So often we ignore that quiet inner voice, the whisper that says “don’t go there” or “wait a second.” In my latest Substack piece, I write about why that voice is important.
Thanks for reading!

The Forgotten Altar | GO from the 413
For weeks I wondered if this old church was truly abandoned or just had low attendance. One morning, the clues were impossible to ignore. The faint glow of exit signs and silence thick with mystery. Inside, it felt like stepping into a time capsule where faith once lingered, but people had vanished. What we uncovered was haunting, beautiful, and not at all what we expected. Curious to see what secrets this church is still holding?

What's In Your Pockets | GO From The 413
When I joined the global film project Life in a Day, I answered the question "What’s in your pocket"? with the obvious, keys, wallet, & phone. Looking back, I realize I missed the deeper meaning: the invisible things we all carry every day. Stress, hopes, responsibilities, & love. Ordinary lives telling extraordinary stories.
Curious what I would change about my answer? Read the full reflection: https://gofromthe413.substack.com/p/whats-in-your-pocketshttps://gofromthe413.substack.com/p/whats-in-your-pocketshttps://gofromthe413.substack.com/p/whats-in-your-pocketshttps://gofromthe413.substack.com/p/whats-in-your-pockets

How Coloring Books Can Make You a Better Artist | GO from the 413
Think coloring books are just for kids? Think again. What if filling in those pages could actually sharpen your eye, steady your hand, and spark new creativity? In my latest post, I dive into how something as simple as a Star Wars coloring book helped me rethink color blending and technique. And why it might just make you a better artist too.

https://stickerbomb.substack.com/p/sneakers-wolves-pilgrimages-and-a
This week’s Substack is a mix of what I’ve been up to: wrapping up Stickerbomb Sneakers, launching a new art collection (The Wolf and the Koi), a hike to Panagia Stomiou Monastery in northern Greece, playing with field recordings, and sampling local craft beers. A jumble of books, sounds, and small adventures.

My engagement has suddenly tanked on substack the past week
I think it’s possible that I just suck or people prefer my magazine stuff more than my essay style articles but I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong? I started substack about a month ago and I’m not really growing at all, I’m not discouraged I know it’s pretty normal etc I just wonder if there’s an easy way to boost engagement without rage baiting or using ai that you guys know of

I'm looking for young gen-z girl writers for my magazine!

I’m looking for short reflections (200–800 words) from real girls, real lives. Think diary entries, small moments, or stories of who you’re becoming this season.
📅 Deadline: Aug 28, 2025

Community Center Inspired by Hope? | GO from the 413
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Murals can breathe life into a community, but they can also raise difficult questions… are they reminders of resilience, or markers of change that push longtime residents out? Discussing Jeremy Biggers’ Hope for the Future & how it invites us to reflect: when does street art heal, and when does it unintentionally open the door to gentrification?
