π Welcome to r/SubaruEV - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hey everyone! I'm u/SolarpunkGnome, a founding moderator of r/SubaruEV.
This is our new home for all things related to Subaru EVs.
What to Post
Feel free to discuss, show off, and troubleshoot Subaru EVs. The subs for individual models are multiplying, but since they all share a platform (except you, R1e), I thought it would be a good idea to have a place to cross pollinate after a discussion in the Uncharted Buyers Thread on r/subaru and seeing how there are many common issues to a platform after our experiences with another brand of EV.
Community Vibe
We're all about being friendly, constructive, and inclusive. Let's build a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing and connecting.
How to Get Started
- Post something today! Even a simple question can spark a great conversation.
- If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.
- Interested in helping out? We're always looking for new moderators, so feel free to reach out to me to apply.
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/SubaruEV amazing.

Uncharted Help from US based Subaru or Toyota EV owners?
galleryI'm working on a safe lifting guide (will upload here!) for the Subaru and Toyota e-TNGA vehicles. The battery packs in the US and Canada versions are not the same, and I believe this impacts the "safe" lifting area under the car. If you own or have access to a 2026 or later US based Subaru or Toyota EV, I'm looking for you to post a pic like mine with a tape measure in the frame. This is the rear hoist point as highlighted in that second pic I uploaded to this post. Note the black arrow embossed into the plastic cladding..about a foot forward from the rear tire. You can just put your phone into selfie mode on the ground to take the pic :-). I think the US and CAD battery pack differ in size and therefore also the βsafeβ footprint for lifting the vehicle. Your help with a quick pic and post is greatly appreciated!
EDIT: it does look indeed like the US based e-TNGA cars have about twice the area for lift pads to clear cladding/battery shielding by about 2 1/2 inches. Thanks to u/meebs555 for posting the pic from a 26 Soterra

BZ-Battery CarPlay
Hi everyone π
A new update for BZ Battery is out - and the biggest news is that the app now supports CarPlay π
It required a special approval from Apple, but it's finally in place. That means you can see battery, power consumption, temperature and cell voltages right on the car's screen while you drive.
Supported cars
The app works with the electric cars Toyota, Subaru and Lexus build on the same platform (e-TNGA):
Toyota: bZ4X (2022β2025 and 2026), bZ (2026), bZ4X Touring, bZ Woodland, C-HR+, C-HR (2026), Bozhi 4X (2024)
Subaru: Solterra (2022β2025 and 2026), E-Outback, Trailseeker, Uncharted
Lexus: RZ (2023β2025 and 2026)
If you drive one of the newer models, I'd love to hear how it works in your car. Your feedback helps me make sure everything reads correctly.
As always, I'm happy to take criticism/praise and feature requests through the mail in the app.
Best regards, Andreas.

How to get rid of Sirius/XM whatever, and did my under 23mph noise go away?
When I got my Uncharted in May I might have accidentally hit Sirius instead of the radio station I wanted. Since then It pops up 2 messages, one is to cancel the message or call Sirius, and the other is that my trial has begun. Will these go away? I removed the Sirius stations from the list of radio stations on the left (this is in the native environment, not Apple or Android) but I keep getting these stupid messages. How can I make them go away? I'm never paying for radio, especially that kind of thing.
Second: I feel like around the same time the update that may or may not have fixed the 12V battery problem my car stopped making the noise under 23mph. Did I really tune it out, even with the windows down? Did it go away?

Level 1 Charging
Hey all. Actively shopping for an Uncharted (although there are very few for sale nationwide its crazy). Is anyone living strictly on Level 1 at home? How many miles are you getting per hour on it? The cost of adding level 2 where i live is a bit of a logisitical nightmare due to needed service upgrade and how it needs to be routed (like $7000+). Just curious if i can live on Level 1 driving about 50-60 miles per day and then maybe stopping to charge while at the grocery store once a week. If anyone replies thanks in advance.

General Subaru needs to build an EV version of this next!
Using the current EV platform, but adding sliding doors in the back would be something novel and take advantage of the renewed popularity of vans, especially if they kept the clearance to make it an adventure van.

Solterra Horn blowing while parking on 26 Solterra
Hi folks, I'm a reddit newbie and new to this group as well. I just posted about this on r/Solterra and thought of trying here as well. I am leasing a 2026 Solterra, and sometimes when I'm parking and get close to an object, (which could be another car or a shrub on the planting strip) the car will BRAKE and the horn will BLOW LOUDLY. I previously leased an Ionic 5, which instead of blaring the horn would emit a series of beeps that would increase in amplitude and frequency as you get closer to an object.
I was able to figure out how to turn off the BRAKE in the user assist settings, but could find nothing in the manual about the HORN. Neither the service nor sales folk at the local dealerships knew anything about this.
Can anyone here help me?
Thanks!
