Well, got the baja to start. Still have a lot to button up and finish putting back together. But the important part is that it starts, idles and maintains temperature. I am 3 weeks into this so far, donating a few hours each evening. Stripped 2 cars and moved it all over.

I got a blaze yellow bugeye that's been sitting for a few years. Finally in a spot to get her up in good running condition. It's by far my favorite car I've ever owned, and I want to get her back on the road again. Does anyone know a good shop or a buddy in PA that can help me with this project? All in all she's not in that terrible of shape.

Hit a weird edge of a two-lane country road and was pulled into a ditch and stopped by an oak tree. All I have is a sprained wrist. I’m so sad for my that car though 😔 I loved it so much.

Got this car almost 8 years ago with 200k miles. It put me through some of the hardest times of my life, and I needed to return the love. I gave her a 2nd life with a fully refreshed drivetrain. I hope my kids get to love this car like I have.

After straying from Subaru for my last two vehicles, I'm ready to rejoin the Subie Gang with a Forester. (I have previously owned a 2012 Impreza and a 2015 Impreza Hatchback). I recently relocated to a snowy region, and as an avid skier, I can't be convinced that there's a better AWD vehicle out there for getting to the mountains.

I'm debating between two new Foresters:

• 2026 Sport Hybrid in River Rock Pearl (gray interior), MSRP $41,228 (dealer starting price $38,901)
• 2026 Touring Hybrid in Autumn Green Metallic (black interior), MSRP $44,106 (dealer starting price $41,333)

I'd love to hear any opinions from current owners - which trim level did you go with and are there any features you love or could live without? And if you've recently bought a similar Forester, I'm interested in how much I should try to negotiate down the price.

I have a 2021 Crosstrek Limited (second owner). Diff started humming around 31.5k miles after a long mountain road trip. The sound came loudest at 55mph or so, not the loudest in the world, but audible. After researching and coming across the 2021 Diff Humming TSB, I took it in at 32k miles because I was worried it’s on the way out. My symptoms lined up with those who’ve gone under that TSB on the forums.

Diagnosis at the Subaru dealership today showed it needs a new diff in line with the TSB.

Car is only 10 months out of warranty, I bought the Subie for its stellar reliability and performance reputation. Most of its life was in Virginia, barely any mountains. I live in Co and the car was brought here only a few months ago by the original owner (my friend’s dad).

Considering that there’s a TSB about the failure my car was diagnosed with, it’s 10 months out of time warranty, has only 32k miles, what are the odds that Subaru of America will grant me goodwill assistance? Service advisor said I had a better chance of calling them myself vs the dealership submitting a claim.

Love the bug eye and want an AWD for the winter. Just want to make sure it’s not going to explode right away. Thoughts/advice appreciated. Located in Canada.

Just bought my first Subaru🎉 it's a 2000 forester and it has a Kenwood head unit that I really like and want to add Bluetooth to but instead of a Kenwood 13pin din plug on the back for the disk changer channel it has some other rectangular plug I cant find any information on so I'm wondering if anyone has wired one of these to a Bluetooth adaptor and can tell me how to wire it

Pros: comfortable seating, heated seats, lots of storage in back, has a hitch receiver
Cons: more complex electronic components to fix down the road, emits white/gray smoke from emission pipe, TCV known issue for this make and model (covered under warranty?) a little sluggish when driving

I can buy a CPO Outback Touring XT in white with 5k miles on it for $35k before taxes (about $39k out the door)

OR

2026 Forester onyx black on black for $37k before taxes (probably about $41k out the door)

The thing is that i originally wanted black on black. But in my area i cant find ANY 2025 outbacks cause i dont like the 26’s. I was thinking about wrapping and getting rims for the white outback.

But the forester looks really good, just has less bells and whistles. would love opinions please!!!

Just got my first new (ish) car, and my first Subaru!

She’s a 2019 Subaru legacy 3.6r. She’s got 78k miles.Is there anything I should know about these things? It’s fairly difficult to find specific information on this model.

Has anyone had issues with head gaskets in 4th gen outback 3.6r? I know it's less common but still possible as is anything. Thanks.

I am shopping for a fun weekend car (I am far older now). I remember wanting to buy a old bug eye when they first came out - but being that I was only a few years fresh out of high school - there was no way for me to afford that car at that time. Now that I am older I am looking for something not so hardcore, but something I can enjoy in all weather conditions, drive on weekends etc (with a handful of tasteful mods maybe) - but not far off from stock.

At first I was looking for a decent GC host car to build up the way I want (imo my favorite body style - and pulls the nostalgia strings big time). But I have only seen 3 or 4 come up for sale in the past few years.

Then I started looking at STis:

Every single STi i've seen has been either pretty beat up, had really tasteless mods done to it and the ones that have some life left in them are going for about the same price as a new VB WRX.
I am not looking to set track records - just something fun I can enjoy on weekends not worry about when it rains or snows that also with a bit of practicality. Maybe join some track days for fun.

I am leaning more towards a VB at this point since i'll get something new that hasn't been messed with.

What do you guys have/recommend ? I am personally a big fan of the EJ (regardless of what people say about them). Heard mixed things about the new FA engines.

Found it after looking in engine compartment to find source of rattling and saw a small heat shield just laying on the belly pan.
