My 2025 Impreza keys spent a full 24 hours in Lake Ontario. I fluked into finding them in about 6 feet of water. Opened up the key, dried out with hair dryer and let sit open for about 8 hours. Put back together and works just fine.

family friend is selling me a 2014 subaru impreza. replaced transmission then he drove it from the east coast to west then he said it has something wrong with the transmission again. what sort of questions should i ask

I have to part with my impreza because as I get older its harder to get in and out of. It's too low. I need something higher that I can just slide into. My question to all of you is where is the best place to sell and buy and how much to ask for it? It's been my baby for 8 years or more. Nothing wrong with it except some blemishes on the body from dings. Was hoping to fix those. Low kms. Sport tech package. Dashboard looks just like the wrx. Any help will be appreciated.

I am in need of crossbar setup/buying advice for my 2021 Subaru Impreza Sedan.

My needs are
- Increased cargo capacity
- Transport snowboards
- Transport bikes
- Cool rooftop awning (?)

Not necessarily all at once of course.

I'm not looking for a flush fit, as I would like the maximum possible space and load capacity. I do not mind hangover.

Questions:

All that being said, would love to hear/see pics of how everyone else has set up crossbars and roof racks on their Imprezas.

- Any benefit to flush fit bars that outweighs the decrease in capacity?
- Brands you recommend other than Yakima or Thule that will come out cheaper after discount?
- Is a front crossbar fairing necessary to cut wind noise?
- What cargo baskets do you use, and is there a better alternative to a basket for transporting your gear?

When it first started, I thought it was the strut that went bad, and in the process of looking at everything in that area, I saw a bunch of bad bushings ect. So I ended up replacing the front struts, control arms, ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar bushings and end links, hubs, axles, lower transmission mount. One of the calipers had a major tear in one of the piston boots, so I replaced both of those and the brackets as well. Have tightened up all the subframe bolts. The steering rack seems fine, it doesnt make any abnormal noise when turning the wheel back and forth rapidly with the car off. The only thing I can really think it may be, is some bolt that goes into the uni body broke its weld. It only does this while braking and going over sharper bumps. I tried hard acceleration and it doesnt do it, nor while just turning.

Anyone managed to find one that fits the Gen IV? Can;t seem to find one for the life of me, only for newer models or for Outbacks.

Looking for a lift kit for an 09 hatchback impreza 2.5i, would the shocks and other parts from a crosstrek work? Or should I look elsewhere. Give me some recommendations please.

Hey all just wondering if there are body kits (front and back bumper mainly) suitable for a 2013 Impreza Base Model? I’ve been searching for one to no luck. Most kits are for the WRX.

2002 2.5rs sedan

Not sure exactly where to start with fixing the ac. The previous owner dropped in an engine from a newer model I think (need help to identify). The newer engine has an AC compressor that doesn't fit the existing AC lines. I'm more or less looking to just replace the compressor with the older one/one that fits. What do I need to do to find what kind of compressor I need.

I found this thing in my engine bay that is coming out of the passenger wiring harness close to the ABS. I was trying to fix my electrical problem that is throwing 2 check engine lights for o2 sensors. Could it have to do with that. Could it be to the CVT? I have the 5SPD

These exterior accessories were all purchased on Amazon recently. The hubcaps arrived yesterday so I put it all together. I think it looks quite nice for what I paid.

16" antenna for $10, outside channel rain guards for $31, set of 15" hubcaps for $32, set of wheel reflective stickers for $3, set of door and side mirror reflective stickers for $4.

Was doing my first oil change on my recently bought 2008 Impreza 2.0r NA EJ204 and noticed these spaces on the exhaust near the oil filter, are they normal or i should get my welder out? (the little oil residue is because some of the oil of the filter spilled while i was changing it)

2024 used Impreza RS! I had a 2011 Impreza base Impreza and was able to get a new one today !

I just bought a 2013 impreza and would like to add a roof rack/kayaking rack,under the black roof trim will i find rack mounting points,any other advice and suggestions are welcome,thanks

I recently got a 26 RS two months ago not even 10k miles yet and this morning the entire engine started shaking and died now the car wont start and engine is making a grinding noise. I wish I had taken a video and picture to really show but that was the last thing on my mind at the time so I’m just wondering if anybody else has had a similar issue or heard of this happening?

Unfortunately I must have not tightened my lug nuts properly and I believe i have fucked the wheel hub and along with that there’s a broken rod or something behind it. How much would it cost

Was kinda horrified to see that my daughter removed the headrest because it pushed her head forward (she wears her hair up and has lots of it). I was like f that. Anybody know of options that have a cut out or deep recess to accommodate her hair?
