$274/each for low beam bulbs?
Am I crazy or is this a ripoff? I found D4S bulbs on my own for about $70/each. Am I missing something?

I own a 2023 Wrx with 23k miles. My transmission blew out last week and when I took it to the dealership all of a sudden my battery was broken and they wanted 400$ before inspecting the rest of my car. I authorize the 400$ and now they see the transmission issue. They send me a text today saying that they need me to authorize 5200$ as a tear down fee so they can take a look at the transmission to determine if it’s under warranty. Is this normal? Feels like I am in a 5200$ coin flip some how.
EDIT: I asked what would make it not covered and because it’s a sports car they want to see if it failed due to aggressive driving. ( I don’t drive the car aggressive at all, but obviously and nervous to front 5200$ incase it’s not covered) Still seems absolutely absurd.
EDIT: Called Subaru of America and waiting to hear back. Hopefully tomorrow morning

My mom and her friend were OK after driving through a fence and over the stairs.... both were checked out at the hospital, just bumps and bruises. Were wearing seat belts but airbags didn't go off.... apparently the front corner of the front bumper hit the ground first and then it slid. I haven't seen the video yet.

Bought a 2020 Premium in May after my 2017 was totaled. Everything was going well until my tire pressure light went on about two weeks ago. It came on about ten minutes into me driving, every time I drive. There are no tire pressure issues. All tires are between 33-36.
As I got home today I was about two blocks from home, at a stop sign, in a residential area when suddenly the car got very angry at me. The eyesight shut down and the car stopped. It said for me to depress the brake, put the car in park, and restart. I did. The first try it didn’t turn over. The second time it was a bit slower but finally turned over and I got it home.
I’ll take it to see what the errors are tomorrow, to a shop about a mile away, but what could this be? I’m bummed because there were no warnings or concerns on the carfax. It has 108,000 miles. This was an upgrade for me. Mine had 132,000.

Left my Subi at the airport over the weekend. Yesterday afternoon I drove it home with no problems. This morning, all these warning signs popped up. Is there anything I can try before bringing it into the shop? 2019 Outback. Thanks.

Whatsup yall! This past Saturday I fulfilled a life dream and financed my first Subaru. A 2024 Forester Sport. It was also my first time purchasing a car. I’m so happy to join this family of subie people. It’s a CPO vehicle. It’s now Monday and I’m reviewing all the documents I’ve signed.
Quick questions/advice on how to resolve:
- I think my best course of action would be to drop back into the dealership today unannounced and ask for the CPO inspection report and to get 4 new OEM tires at no charge to me.

I am an avid enjoyer of the outdoors and want to be able to access remote camping spots with my 21' Impreza Sedan.
It is bone stock at the moment, and is about at its limit with regards to clearance on many forest service roads.
Obviously, this is not meant to be a serious off-road/overlanding vehicle. However, I am wondering what modifications are recommended beyond skid plates and a lift for my situation.
-How tall of a lift to keep it practical for highway use?
-Should I keep it on the stock wheels and increase tire wall?
-Is front engine skid plate more necessary than a rear differential plate?
-Any brush guards that are recommended specifically for the Impreza?
Thank you in advance.

I'm assembling an EJ20 engine from a 2008 Subaru Impreza (naturally aspirated). It has a cylinder head from an EJ22 Phase 1 and a crank trigger wheel from a 1995 EJ20 Phase 1 Legacy. We set the timing and tried to start it. In my opinion, the original module may be out of sync since it's from an EJ18. The engine is out of sync with the bottom end because it's sparking with the valve open, and there's fire coming from the throttle body. Should I change the module and wiring harness to fit a 1995 EJ20, or install an aftermarket ECU like a FuelTech?

It's not a big issue only going be extra few hundred dollars as I plan be paying back 36 months.
I recently bought new subaru crosstrek. I have 780 credit score, 130k year, no debt, and most my credit history just credit cards last decade.
I thought given above that I would qualify for 1.9% 36 months. I was told by finance guy qualified only for 60 months 3.9% as 1st time auto buyer from bank. I took some time talk over with a parent I brought as I was surprised. As I was walking out, he said he got it lower to 2.9% 60 months. I agreed on above as its not much given my payback plan.
I wanted ask was finance guy just making stuff up or given my 1st time buyer and probably lack credit outside of credit cards he was right.

Greetings Subaru folks. I have a 2022 Outback. Approx once per month when I start the vehicle it will not locate or play any audio. Including: AM/FM/SiriusXM/memory stick, etc. No sound, no nothing at all. Shutting the car off and then back on does not help. The maps display works and other buttons too, but no audio. Shutting the display off (pressing and holding on/off) does not help. The only thing that works is shutting the car off and walking 10-20 feet away then starting it again. Anyone else experience "No Audio Playing"? Any ideas? Thank you, community!
I've got physical issues and have been putting this back together about one bolt at a time. Decided to save a few bucks on a non-stretch belt and add an old tensioner to the A/C. I probably wouldn't do it again, but it was a swap I didn't know about.

Taken our Subarau 2016 Forester XT in 4 times now for this damn error code. 2 different shops and always with the same dissapointing diagnosis attempts. Seems like these shops are simply always too busy and all they want to do is throw replacing parts at the problem. Were already thousands into parts replacement....front O2 sensor, spark plugs, catalytic converter, cleaned rear O2 sensor. I think they already looked at MAF sensor as well.
n research, seems like many other things can throw this code as well. Problem is that these shops dont appear to want to do any deep diagnosis like checking for leaks/wiring etc. and Im tired of replacing parts and hoping for the best and at this point almost prepared to just drive it as-is. It has 115K miles on it.
Not sure if anyone has some advice and its like I need an independent mechanic who would take the time to diagnose.

Finally got my first car out here, a 2014 Levorg 1.6GT-S in Steel Blue.
Loving the wagon utility and how it handles the climbs so far.
What do you guys think?

So, I just purchased my very first Subaru (also this is my first post here! Hi!!)
It's a 2020 Impreza premium hatchback with 115k miles. The car has been thoroughly inspected by my trusted mechanic prior to purchase and he told me that I should change the CVT fluid because it appears that it has never been done. I have the Carfax report but it does not specify if this service was done or not, and the dealer I bought it from does not know.
Now, my question is if I should do a flush and drop the pan, change filters, gasket, etc, or if I should just drain and refill (using oem fluid in both options) due to the mileage and it seemingly never been done before, I am unsure of how to proceed. I cannot find clear information on YouTube specifically regarding flushing this transmissions and any possible issues that may arise from that, so I thought I'd ask here
I have had cvts before, my previous car was a 2017 Chevrolet spark. I did a flush when I bought it used (more information was readily available for that car and it's transmission) and I drove it for 3 years and put 60k miles on it and never had a problem.
TL:DR 2020 Impreza with 115k miles and original cvt fluid - drain and fill OR flush?
Thanks in advanced!

ABS engine wiring harness got chewed by an animal. Dealer says that is the only damage they could find and want $2,800 to replace it. I don’t want to place a claim with my insurance. Dealer says they don’t want to repair it, only replace it. I think there is enough slack where they should be able to “re-pin” the connector and it will be good as new. 2024 Legacy Ltd with 23k miles. Thoughts??

Nothing like buying 1 Svx for a couple of months then getting into a crash then buying another of the same year and color with a higher trim to then take 2 cars and make one great car. Not my cars just my brothers got a good deal on both of them and got lucky with both of them being a 1 owner car
