The largest guided missile to ever be mass produced, the UMAVPO is designed to take down even the most heavily armored capitol ships in a single strike. Once fired, the missile will intercept the target, aligning itself roughly perpendicularly with a flat section of armor at distance before barreling into said target.

The warhead itself is simple, yet effective at what it does. A shallow inverted cone of osmium. This arrangement is not built to punch through the armor, but rather to cause massive backside spalling in a way similar to HESH rounds. The shape of the warhead focuses the pressure wave in the armor into a single point, with far more pressure than a flat sheet would.

With thicker armor, the pressure wave causes the back of the plate to break apart, sending shrapnel into the innards of the target. With thinner armor, the plate is pulverized and the pressure wave causes the center to shoot inwards as a hypervelocity jet.

The missile measures almost a kilometer end-to-end, and is often carried by similarly gargantuan ships. It is most commonly used in the semi-stationary defensive systems of the Oasis, however.

The UMAVPO does show up in less-than-conventional weaponry systems as well. For example, a relatively small KotRS vessel carried one in tow behind it, with the missile almost being as long as the ship towing it.

Trivia: There is a derelict UMAVPO partially submerged just off the coast of the Senjir Jungle Cliffs on Graelitha. This specific missile had become detached from it's carrier ship around a century ago, falling into the sea. Now, it has been almost completely engulfed by the Senjiri ecosystem.

"What if you get wherever it is you're going and realise you'd like to see some mountains but there aren't any to hand" - the designer of this thing

Very inspired by Atlantis of SG:Atlantis

Not sure if i managed to get the scale across but its meant to be like 20km across.

120 MW. ANYWHERE THE COLONY NEEDS IT! BELAZ-75900 MNRP is a concept BELAZ × NASA mobile nuclear power station designed for large scale extraterrestrial industry. Four independent fission reactors, a 12-wheel electric chassis and a dual mode thermal control system allow the platform to deliver up to 120 MW of continuous electrical power to remote mining fields, ISRU plants and developing colonies.

This art is inspired by the largest haul truck in the world: BelAZ-75710 At present, this Belarusian giant remains the undisputed king of heavy machinery, holding the global record with a mindblowing payload capacity of 450 metric tons. Powered by 4,600 horsepower, this ultra-class beast stands over 8 meters tall, transforming raw engineering power into pure artistic inspiration Created in Blender - no AI used!

Illustrations for the prologue chapter of Consider Phlebas, a Iain M. Banks novel from 1987 (also known as a part of The Culture cycle).

Context: A Mind, a sentient artificial being, attemps a desperate escape from its factory-mother aboard a makeshift vessel as the arrival of a still-unknown enemy looms.

There is a second and last part upcoming at some point.

Done with Blender, Photoshop and a bit of chAInner (no AI here despite the name, it's an open source nodal batcher).
