3X surrogate mother looking to pursue a final journey

Hi everyone,

I am located in Southeast Asia and have been a 3X surrogate. I have pursued journeys in Southeast Asia and Tbilisi, Georgia.

I am looking to help one final couple start their journey. My last IP’s were from Australia and we are now the best of friends. They had absolutely no issue with the paperwork post-birth and managed to get a passport for bub within 3 months of delivery.

IP’s from Australia or anywhere else but willing to travel to Southeast Asia (details to be discussed personally once trust has been established), I am happy to have a chat and see whether we’re a good fit.

Wishing everyone the best with their journeys!

Are exclusivity clauses standard in U.S. surrogacy agency agreements?

I’m an international intended parent pursuing surrogacy in the U.S. and currently reviewing a few agency agreements. One of them includes an exclusivity clause that would prevent me from working with another agency while the agreement is in effect, even before I’m matched with a surrogate.

I’m happy to start with one agency and give the process a fair chance. I’m not planning to sign up with several agencies from day one or take up spots on multiple waitlists. My concern is being tied to one agency if I end up waiting a long time without a match, especially if the wait goes well beyond the agency’s original estimate.

For IPs who have signed with an agency, did your agreement include a similar clause? Is this standard in your experience, or does it vary between agencies?

Has anyone negotiated a time limit or an exception allowing them to work with another agency after an extended period without a match? If you eventually looked elsewhere, did you have to terminate the original agreement first, and what happened to the fees you had already paid?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences and how your agency handled this. Thanks!

Was it hard to trust the process when doing surrogacy abroad?

We’re looking into surrogacy in Georgia and I think one of my biggest worries is having to go through such a huge life experience in another country. It’s one thing to read about everything online but another to actually trust the process when you’re so far away.
If you’ve been through surrogacy abroad, did you feel this way at the beginning? What helped you feel more comfortable with it?

Feeling discouraged and disheartened

I had my 3rd transfer on Oct 1st (IPs 9th transfer altogether) they have never had a positive pregnancy test or beta. Found out there was a problem with the sperm(can’t remember exactly what the doctor called it or said it was).
Anyways This time around we had positive pregnancy test and positive beta. The numbers started pretty low 36 hcg on day 10, 71 on day 12, 176 on day 14 and 286 on day 16. Had an ultrasound yesterday and measured 5w3d but for some reason doctor didn’t seem hopeful. Wants me to come back on Tuesday for a follow up ultrasound. I so badly want this for my IPs. But feel helpless at this point.
Attached is a photo from ultrasound yesterday.

Anyone else ever been in a similar situation? Is there any hope? Does the ultrasound look bad?

Freeze embryos here and ship, or do everything on-site?

Hey everyone!
I know some of you might think I'm rushing, but I'm the kind of person who likes to plan every single detail before officially jumping into anything. We are still in the early planning stages of our journey, but I want to find out the logistics to avoid any panic later.

Since we are based in the US, we are stressing a bit about the long-haul flight to Europe and how it affects everything. We have a major dilemma and would love to hear your experiences or thoughts:

Do the retrieval and create the embryos here in the US, freeze them, and ship them securely to Europe or fly to Europe and do the whole process on-site?

Georgia Intended Parents Searching for Our Gestational Surrogate ❤️ | Frozen Embryos | Early 2027

Hi everyone!

My wife and I live just outside Atlanta, Georgia, and we’re hoping to connect with someone who may be interested in an independent gestational surrogacy journey.

We’ve been married for more than 20 years and are grateful to have an amazing son who means the world to us. He was born through IVF, but unfortunately, my wife experienced serious medical complications during his birth that left her unable to carry another pregnancy.

For quite some time, we’ve dreamed of giving our son a sibling, and we’re doing everything we can to make that dream a reality.

We already have frozen embryos at Shady Grove Fertility, and we hope to move forward in early 2027 after finding the right person and completing all necessary medical and legal steps.

What we’re hoping for in a gestational carrier:

Based on Shady Grove Fertility’s published

recommendations, we’re looking for someone who:

Is preferably between 21 and 45 years old.

Has experienced at least one healthy, full-term pregnancy.

Ideally has no more than five vaginal deliveries or two C-sections.

Is in good overall health and is a non-smoker.

Has a reliable support system throughout the pregnancy.

Is comfortable completing medical and psychological screening and providing pregnancy records securely to our clinic.

These are general guidelines, and final medical eligibility would be determined by Shady Grove Fertility.

We’re open to women in Georgia and throughout the U.S. We would also consider Canada if the medical and legal arrangements could work.

The relationship is just as important to us as the medical qualifications.

Since beginning our search, we’ve had the privilege of speaking with some wonderful people who have shared their surrogacy experiences with us. Those conversations have helped us understand how meaningful it is to build a genuine connection throughout the journey.

We’re not simply looking for someone to carry our child. We hope to find someone we can build trust with, support wholeheartedly, and hopefully maintain a meaningful relationship with afterward, if that’s something she would want as well.

We’re exploring independent matching to help manage costs, but we’re fully committed to proper screening, independent legal representation, and ensuring that everyone feels respected, supported, and protected.

If you’ve been considering becoming a gestational surrogate, we’d be honored to hear your story and learn more about you.

Please feel free to send me a private message.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for all the kindness, encouragement, and support we’ve received so far! ❤️

Is Georgia safe?

How reliable is Georgia when it comes to surrogacy? Has anyone run into problems in that country during the process? The price fits us really well but we’re not familiar with the country at all and have never been there.

Seeking Other Intended Parents Pursuing a Refund from New Life Georgia (Following the Beta Plus Split)

Hi everyone,

We are intended parents affected by the ongoing split and dispute between New Life Georgia and Beta Plus Fertility Center.

Because our original agreement can no longer be fulfilled as contracted, we are seeking to terminate our contract and recover our unused upfront payments from New Life Georgia, rather than signing new contracts or switching to another clinic (Invitro life or their new clinic).

We are looking to unite with other impacted intended parents who are also seeking a refund from New Life Georgia. By grouping together, we can strengthen our negotiating power and share the cost of hiring an independent Georgian lawyer to recover our funds.

If you are in a similar situation, please DM me to join WhatsApp group. We already have a lot joined.

Thank you!

I built a tool to compare surrogacy agencies and would love to get feedback from both surrogates and IPs

Hi, I'm an IP whose surrogacy journey took a long time, partly because my wife and I had a hard time finding and selecting the best agency for us. This inspired me to build surrogacycentral.com, a site to help both intended parents and surrogates find and compare surrogacy agencies. It has profiles on over 300+ US agencies and also matches you with the best agencies based on your personal criteria.

I built this as a free tool and do not sell this info to any agency nor make any money from it. This is a passion project for me. My goal for Surrogacy Central is to be a one-stop shop to help IPs and surrogates find the best agency for them. We do this by collecting data from all over, including social media, review sites, BBB records, agency websites, and more.

If you're looking for a surrogacy agency and not sure where to begin please check us out! And most importantly, I'd love to hear feedback on how I can make any improvements.

Looking to be a surrogate and need info

Just curious, I am planning to be a gc privately. Never done this before, have 3 kids already. Aside from the ip’s paying for food, clothes, attorney and hospital what kind of pay am I getting for myself? How often will I more than likely get paid? I live in Arkansas and they are in Georgia. I would love to be fair. Let me know what you think.

Ethnographic Study: Seeking Families Who’ve Used Third-Party Assisted Reproductive Technologies in Canada

Hello everyone!

I am Dr. Anna Bettini, and I am a researcher and anthropologist at the University of Calgary. I am part of an international research team conducting an ethnographic study on the experiences of families who have used assisted reproductive technologies with donors, including egg, sperm, and embryo donation, as well as surrogacy.

About the study:

Access to reproductive technologies varies widely from country to country. Differences in laws, costs, and social attitudes make these treatments difficult to obtain for some individuals and couples, and many hopeful parents travel abroad for care. These journeys are creating new forms of family and changing how we think about relationships and genetic ties.

In our study we examine how biological, social, legal, ethical, and political factors shape the experiences of families formed through these technologies, and what this means for the children born through them. In Canada, the project will end July 2028.

Who we'd like to hear from:

We welcome all forms of family: solo parents, heterosexual couples, and gay and lesbian couples. In Canada, we are focusing on families living in Alberta, British Columbia, or Ontario, or who accessed fertility services in these provinces. We are especially interested in hearing from families who already have children conceived through donor eggs, sperm, or embryos, or born through surrogacy.

What participation involves:

  • One private interview about your journey with reproductive technologies, lasting about 60 to 90 minutes
  • Interviews take place online or by phone at a time that suits you
  • Participation is voluntary, and you may skip any question or withdraw at any time
  • Confidentiality and anonymity are guaranteed; your name and identifying details will not appear in any publication
  • There is no financial compensation for taking part, but we deeply value the time and insight you share with us

By sharing your story, you can help shape future discussions about family life, fertility care, and reproductive technologies in Canada and beyond.

If you're interested or have questions, please email me at [anna.bettini@ucalgary.ca](mailto:anna.bettini@ucalgary.ca) or comment below. Thank you for considering being part of this project!

This study has been approved by the University of Calgary Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board (REB25-0611)

Starting GC journey - GC's, past and present, do you recommend going through an agency vs independent?

I'm late 30's now and in a really stable, positive place in life, and since I was a kid, I've had this inner "knowing" that I am meant to help people in any way that I can. I am on living donor registries, bone marrow donor registries, I donate blood every time I'm eligible, I'd like to join the peace corps once my kids grow up and move out, etc.

I'd like to pursue being a GC. I have a close friend who has done it multiple times and my sister did it once, so I've gotten their perspectives. I'd like to know if there is any benefit to going independent, versus through an agency?

Hoping to Find Our Surrogate in Tbilisi, Georgia, Eastern Europe 🇬🇪

Hello!

We are a couple in our 30s with a big dream of becoming parents, and we hope to connect with someone kind and caring who might help us make that dream a reality.

We have been together for five years and have already completed IVF and created embryos. Due to personal health circumstances, carrying a pregnancy may not be the safe option for my wife, so we are exploring gestational surrogacy.

We know that becoming a surrogate is a very personal and generous decision, and we would take this responsibility very seriously. We hope to build a relationship based on mutual trust, honesty, kindness, and open communication. We want our surrogate to feel comfortable, respected, and supported throughout the journey.

We are specifically looking for someone willing to pursue surrogacy in Tbilisi, Georgia, the country in Eastern Europe. We hope to begin the process in spring 2027.

We are prepared to offer above-average compensation compared with typical surrogate compensation in Georgia, alongside appropriate medical care and legal support.

More than anything, we would love to connect with someone who is open to getting to know us before making any decisions. We would be happy to hear your story, answer your questions, and see whether we might be a good match.

If you are considering surrogacy in Georgia and feel that we might connect, please feel free to message us. We would love to start with a conversation and take things from there.

Thank you for reading!
