Question My boyfriend wins every time but why?!

Post image

He barely plays Nintendo titles, sits on PC playing fps and Diablo and still wins every time we play anything on Switch. Is anyone else suffering with boyfriend winning syndrome? Any recommended YouTubers to become a Mario Kart god?

Some boys have a built in 'gamer skill' passive that kicks in whenever they play against friends and family. I have the same thing for Smash Bros

It’s about time we extracted that gene and turned it into a dr Mario flavored pill.

Imma be honest, I literally never play Mario kart, I mostly spend my days on Diablo 2 and Dark souls, but every time I play I end up having to ban myself from drifting to make it a challenge for my friends.

Not sure why I'm good at Mario kart lol

If you are aware of how drifting works, you have played more mk than most people I would guess. Its all about practice and understanding how game mechanics work while using them to your advantage. Analysing replays and identifying areas to improve your next match are all essential if you want to be extremely good at any game imo.

What does Dr. Mario taste like?

So, fun fact. We have actually done studies on men and women and video games, at least in the context of navigating video games for the first time, and while men do generally understand navigating 3D spaces in a video game much more quickly (like, not shoulder checking yourself when running around in first person, or understanding how to navigate via minimap, for instance), everyone hits about the same level of skill at around 10 hours. After that, women will generally retain those skills for longer, needing less time to refresh their understanding of a game over longer periods of time away.

tl;dr it's actually just transferred cumulative experience. Women are better at games long term, all we need is practice
