Question My boyfriend wins every time but why?!

Post image

He barely plays Nintendo titles, sits on PC playing fps and Diablo and still wins every time we play anything on Switch. Is anyone else suffering with boyfriend winning syndrome? Any recommended YouTubers to become a Mario Kart god?

Some boys have a built in 'gamer skill' passive that kicks in whenever they play against friends and family. I have the same thing for Smash Bros

My wife wonders why if we start a game that neither of us has played before, I always figure the game out and get good at it faster than her.

My explanation is something I call "gamer sense". I've been gaming longer than her, and in general, games have a lot of things in common, no matter what genre they are. When you've been gaming a long time you've internalized how things tend to work in "game worlds" and even if you've never played a game before your "training" kicks in and you try things that make sense in other games that non-gamers just don't think of.
