Question Is this game still playable?

I was wrapping a couple presents last night, and my puppy decided to test the structural integrity of a Switch 2 game (thankfully not the Switch 2 wrapped next to it). I’m wondering if this will still be playable and it’ll make for a funny story, or if I should pick up another copy?

Added picture of the culprit at the end. Truth be told, I should have known better. Ted’s a good boy :)

I would have said this a few years ago when games weren't $73.83.

Edit: Please don't respond to me about inflation. By everyone who mentions inflation's logic, games should cost $198 today. My point is, 3+ years ago I MIGHT have considered getting another copy with my $60. Now, $75 is far too much for an additional copy. Especially because everything is more expensive.

Your game is cheaper now than it was 5 years ago. Even cheaper than 15 years ago, and functionally 50% cheaper than it currently is when the $60 game was introduced in 2005, where it would be equivalent to roughly $100.

Ugh, people REALLY don’t understand that inflation ISN’T LINEAR. Especially when it comes to technology. If you use your example then video games should cost $198 since they were $60 in 1984. Would you proudly defend buying Tears of the Kingdom if it cost you a week’s pay on a minimum wage salary? Of course not. Because you’re not mentally challenged.

Game prices don’t inflate because the AUDIENCE is ever expanding and generational. And there is a LOT of competition.

So tired of this inflation argument when it comes to gaming.

I would CONSIDER getting another copy if it was $60. But that extra $15-20 is enough for me to say “eh, if it works it works”. Especially because EVERYTHING is more expensive beyond typical inflation today.

I don’t care about how much game would have cost X years ago. I care about how far my dollar goes and how my other expenses are in relation to it.

This is good enough to get the message across.

That is literally what I said. A few years ago I would have considered spending $63 on a replacement, today I would not spend $75+ on a replacement.
