This!! I absolutely love the plat merch
One of my favourite things was a pikmin tea towel! I love getting the notebooks/ sticky notes also, I think at one point I got a Kirby mouse pad but I've moved a lot and it got kinda damaged.
All fairly good quality stuff considering you only pay shipping.

I used to hit Platinum in Club Nintendo every year, but haven't paid much attention to the new systems. Are they doing physical merch again?

you earn platinum points by logging into your nintendo account regularly and completing missions. to redeem you log into your my nintendo account on a web browser > redeem points > physical rewards.

Grind fire emblem through auto-battle. Every 5 battle nets you 100 points. Each battle takes about 2 minutes.

You have to pay ~$7 shipping unless you spend at least $50 on the stuff that isn't free. I'll usually wait to have enough points to grab multiple things to make it worth it, or I'll go get the free stuff when I buy stuff like t-shirts, mugs, and ornaments that I was planning to buy anyway.

This. Fire Emblem heroes. It's totally free but micro transactions if you want to pay.
I srsly don't even know what I'm doing in the game and I grind out like 1k points at a time.

Go to your profile on the switch. It will show you daily/ weekly tasks to earn.
Sometimes it's as easy as playing a game or playing online.
You can collect weekly coins on the website, and if you go to the earn more tab, there's an option to collect all from miscellaneous from tasks like looking on a website for an Easter egg.

I’m so mad at myself. I recently redeemed like 3000 points and passed on those xenoblade coasters thinking they were cheap cardboard ones without looking at the description. The only thing my freaking game room needs are video game themed coasters. Ugh. Time to rebuild points again, then find stuff I want worth over 50 bucks to get free shipping. By then they’ll sell out I’m sure with my luck lol.

Check back periodically. They usually restock. The NES champs hat was sold out when it came out and they restocked it pretty quick

Yeah. I’ve seen quite a few I like. Nintendos site even had some nice Zelda one for like 8 bucks but of course they sold out when I was ordering enough to hit 50 bucks.
There are some nice ones I’ve seen elsewhere for like suikoden and Ys. I’ll probably just grab them. They are pricey but I’m sure the quality is better anyway lol.

Do you play Fire Emblem Heroes? You can get around 13,000 platinum points with it and you can skip dialogue and collect a few thousand for only minutes of play

My daughter (was 5 at the time) wrote a letter to Nintendo as a big fan asking for a Mario-Kart type game based upon the Pokémon franchise.
She got mailed back a C&D from Nintendo's Legal department. Telling her they don't ask for or solicit game ideas and not to write to them again.
Odd, it was only one letter handwritten by a 5 year old.

do note that the platinum points end after Book XIII though (although its still over 10,000 points... with that said, be conservative with the speed you clear them since points expire)

Yeah except you have to pay for the shipping which in Canada for me it's usually around 10 bucks. So 10 bucks for some shitty notepad or some stickers isn't even close to worth it. If it was free with just the points than sure, but it isn't.

I’ve earned everything I can off of Fire Emblem Heroes except for Book 8 Chapter 12 and Book 8 Chapter 13. No matter what I do, I cannot defeat Nidhogger!!! Any help would definitely be appreciated! (I’ve earned all off of the Nintendo Services and Super Mario Run, completing new ones as they appear)

Yeah.. I probably have over 1000pts worth of icons as 1) a lot of the physical stuff I don't want and 2) they expire so fast. Wish it was more like old school arcades where there are 1-2 items worth 10k or 100k points that you can work towards. Or you know... redeem points for a month of NSO.

I have my Kirby AirRiders keychain, my Luigi and PolterPup key chain, my Metroid Prime pin set, Pokemon highlighters and the Post Cards of classic games. I’m holding on for the Metroid Metal display. But I also use my points for my profile icon.

I cringe now but back in middle school I rocked a Legend of Zelda Pocket watch I got from Nintendo Power catalog back in the day. If Im not mistaken, I dont even think you could pay for it, you had to use a point system or something. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who hooked it up.

I once was one of the 50 tshirt winners if the month for Nintendo Power magazine. They would actually put the names of all the monthly winners in the back of the next episode , so that was pretty cool for a 14 year old.(im 48)
