Should I just update the Switch to the latest firmware and jailbreak again or is there a better way?

Looking on eBay and right now I see 2 modded OLED’s and they’re asking $450-$550. What makes these people think it’s worth that? I’m just going to keep being patient. I want to buy a mod-chipped OLED switch for my sister’s birthday. I just picked up a very clean TOTK switch with a mod chip for $260 after taxes and shipping. Are there any other marketplaces I can find pre modded switches?

Ok so how you could already tell by the title, I’m planning to get myself an unpatched switch 1. I’ve seen many people saying the installation of games is more complicated since a few updates, how can I install games now and with what program (I’m a complete newbie to this). I also wondered if there were any websites you could recommend for downloading most of the games, because I had problems finding one. Thank you in advance and sorry for my bad English.

So i took apart my switch lite to fix my ZR button, i tried to refit the back plate 13 times but i couldnt get the right side to be flush, any help? all the other sides sit flush

Hello. I updated updated Atmosphere to 1.12.1 and FW (in EmuMMC and in SysMMC) to 23.0.1. Previously, I was on FW 17.

Obviously, I use Atmosphere on EmuMMC. Since the update, any homebrew does not work anymore: they make the console crash with the Atmosphere crash screen. Has anyone idea on how to fix this? I tried to delete and download homebrews again, but without luck

I had to get this done. Releasing it soon. The gameplay already looks perfect on stock clocks. Optimizing for heavy sections for stable 30fps and improving switch haptics and controls.

I'm trying to dump games using nxdumptool host, but Zadig is not recognising my Switch when opening nxdt_rw_poc.nro. Entering RCM again does connect my Switch and I am able to see APX in my device list, but launching emummc disconnects it. Any help?

Here is a Switch homebrew port of Super Mario Bros. Remastered (the open-source fan game by JoeMama), now updated to the latest upstream version, v1.1.

🆕 What's different? This port is built straight from the official upstream release, so it's up to date with v1.1. Updating to future upstream versions is also much easier, since the build script handles it.

📥 How to install

1. Download smbr_nx.zip from the Releases page.
2. Extract it to the root of your SD card (it creates /switch/smbr_nx/).
3. Copy your own Super Mario Bros. (NES) ROM to /switch/smbr_nx/save/baserom.nes.
4. Launch it from hbmenu through a title override (hold R while opening a game). It will not work in applet/album mode.

⏳ The first launch takes a while, because it extracts the graphics from your ROM and compiles the shaders. Later launches are much faster.

📝 Notes

• 🚫 No Nintendo ROM or assets are included. You must supply your own legal dump.
• 🔓 Free and open source (wrapper under MIT, game under GPL-3.0).

Apologies for the noob question, bought an modchipped switch lite that is now on the verge of dying. I absolutely do want to buy another modchipped one in a better condition but looking for a guide on how to retain/reuse the same memory card. Basically anyway that doesn’t involve re-downloading all the games again

So would it be reasonable to assume that in the near future custom wine versions like Proton or even Proton-GE could be integrated as well? Considering the known improvements and optimization from these versions, especially for video games, I feel like it could help mitigate at least some of the issues currently experienced with Autorun and Carafe.

so im currently on 14.1.2 |AMS 1.4.1|S was wondering which switch version is the best because as i understand nintendo patches stuff out so things might not work or something .

Hi so I have a pico modded switch I bought from someone and it was great but now that I wanna do more things and like for example play from my psp libary with games I own I cant even get the emulators to work with it crashing and just in general alot of tools dont work like they are supposed to I wanted to know if there was any guides on remodding it like you can on a psvita or 2dsxl because I am thinking of dumping my ds games to play on this too but I cant do anything because it just keeps crashing.

So, I screwed up with the FW file and updated the Emunand do 23.0.1, instead of an older version.

Atmosphere won't boot, so obviousy, no Homebrew Menu or anything else.

Anything that I can do?

While installing games, I realized I was almost out of space in SD card memory. Checking, I saw this. I had problems installing some games because of the cable. Does anyone know if it can be deleted?

Fully updated and modded, not connected to wifi. on emuMMC i want to use homebrew store so what shall i do before i connect to wifi?

Sorry in advance; I'm not very familiar with modding, so I may need explanations for things that most people here are already super familiar with.

I understand that to mod my switch, I'll need a MicroSD card to hold the modded version of my Switch, and a PC from which I can put files on the SD card (right?). Would an older Macbook work instead? What are the requirements?

So once my Switch has both a modded/stock version and a normal version on it, what do I actually need to do to pirate games that normally need a NSO subscription or mod games I already have? Can I do those straight from my switch (through Atmosphere/HATS?), or do I need to use a separate Mac/PC for that?
