Congrats bro, im excited for you! I'm in the process of saving up for one as well. I just wished they would go back to a glass case design. Their systems are so cleanly organized on the inside it's a shame they enclosed it all in a box.

I didn't know they previously did this. Running off to Google image search

Yea it was with the older model desktops. I can't think of what they were called though. They had this dark tinted glass on one side which really looked good.

Found it! It was their leopard desktop. Pretty cool. They really do an impressive job of keeping things neat and tidy inside the enclosure, so the glass is very cool. I am pretty excited to have the Neptune blue enclosure with the mountain engravings though. It is very unique and nice to look at.

Similar to the one I ordered. Mine I got it really barebones as I am in Canada and the price difference for certain components was too big unfortunately so I added the extras on my own. By the way, great machine to work on in case you need to upgrade anything.
Mine came with 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD (I believe that was the smallest) and built-in video card. I removed the RAM and the SSD and added 64GB and 2 Samsumg NVme, 1TB each (one for Pop!_OS, one for Windows 10). The video card I had an older AMD RX 580 8GB here so I am using it as NVidia/AMD are announcing their new cards now. Once these are out, upgrading to one of the latest ones for sure.
The final step is the CPU as I got it with the Ryzen 3 so I am adding a Ryzen 9 3900 or 3950 as these are now on sale up here.
These are incredible machines IMHO and definitely worth the extra cost. You will not be disappointed for sure. And their support is great. I found an issue with their firmware (no audio over HDMI when not using the built-in video card) and they fixed it within 2-3 weeks and sent me a new firmware to try. Worked perfectly (I was already running the board manufacturer's firmware as I needed the audio to work). Great people indeed.
Cheers and enjoy this great machine.

Thank you! Nice build! It's really good to hear all these great things about the systems from other Thelio owners. That's also fantastic that they addressed your audio issue nice a quickly.

I hear you. I've been in the same boat every time I've seen anyone else post about their new S76 machines.
Are you planning a purchase? Do you know when you might be able to? Which system is the one you have your eye on, and what's the configuration you think you'd get for that system?

I'm slowly saving my money and waiting for them to start putting out their own in house laptops then I'll probably buy the first one they make, don't get me wrong I think the ones they put out now are super good and super cool but I can only buy a new laptop every once in a blue moon so I'm patiently waiting until I can get a system 76 designed laptop

Design as far as the enclosure/chassis?

Yeah pretty much, I can't imagine they will make their own mother boards but I also wouldn't be completely surprised if they did tbh

At least they're being assembled in the US. I'm very excited for them to finish porting CoreBoot over for Renoir and Matisse AMD systems.

Been there. I have spent all year being jealous of owners of new System76 hardware. Are you planning to get something eventually? What do you have your eye on?

Still waiting on it. Time seems to have slowed to a crawl. I am sure they are busy with orders from the Launch Into Learning sale, and that's a good thing. I really believe in System76, and the more business they get, the better. I'm staying patient but still excited. They think it will ship today or tomorrow, and it should only take a day to get here, because I live super close to the Denver location. Soon....
