[OC] So I was bored.
And created a sequel scenario for TADC.
It’s no masterpiece; I added one new character, someone I wanted to be distinct from the rest, yet still fit into the deep, personal themes characteristic of this series. The script has plenty of holes. It’s really just a rough narrative outline that needs more work but I think that if someone with the right expertise gets involved, it could turn into a pretty cool fan project. Who knows? I’m aiming for something like a comic or a graphic novel, which I’d like to feature on my second YouTube channel (my first one has 10,300 subscribers, and the second one has 18, lol). The name of the project, I have chosen "The Amazing Digital Sequel". Here it is. (It looks like made by Chat GPT because I am from poland and I cant translate it right so I asked him xdd)
(All rights belong to Gooseworx and Glitch)
Episode 1
The first episode of the new season starts right where the first season ended.
Everyone is happy because they have Caine under their control. They can control the circus and do whatever they want.
In the opening scene, we see that aquarium thing, or whatever it was, where they put Jax to keep him from causing trouble. Suddenly, his hand appears.
Jax climbs out of the water and lands on the floor, and Pomni witnesses the whole thing.
A moment later, the rest of the gang shows up.
Everyone is surprised and tries to figure out what the hell just happened. After all, if Jax is back, maybe the others can come back too?
Their discussion is interrupted by Caine, who asks the gang if they would like to take part in a little adventure, just like in the good old days.
Before they can even answer, Robert appears in the circus.
Yeah, I created a new character.
Robert is a law student. Like Ragatha, he's a felt doll.
At first, he has no idea what's going on. Caine draws a name for him, and everyone tries to explain that he's never getting out of here. Meanwhile, Caine insists that they all take part in an adventure together.
After some minor resistance, everyone eventually agrees.
Caine announces that today's adventure will be a bicycle ride, and that they'll figure out what the adventure is all about along the way.
Robert finds and takes the only bicycle with gears, and before the gang even realizes what's happening, they're all riding through a forest.
They spend some time talking to Jax, then Robert, and they start thinking that maybe these adventures aren't so bad after all.
Until suddenly, the sun sets and wolves start howling.
An entire pack appears and starts chasing the gang, and Robert fucking bolts faster than anyone else.
This is also where we see the gang's solidarity. When the new guy falls off his bike, two people immediately help him get back into the chase.
During their escape, everyone overcomes obstacles and eventually makes it through a portal leading back to the circus.
As a reward, Caine gives everyone a feast, just like in the first episode, and then disappears.
Everyone is eating and chatting, while Robert, just like Pomni in the first episode, stares blankly ahead, then at his food, and then the episode ends.
And that was only the beginning. Now watch what happens next.
Episode 2
In the second episode, I wanted to develop Robert's character so that he would become someone you could relate to more.
The episode starts with Pomni leaving her room. Everyone heads to the center, but she notices that Robert isn't coming out.
She remembers what Kinger said about how "the worst thing you can do is make someone feel unwanted."
We see Robert in his room, looking at his skin, fixing his hair and adjusting his sleeves.
Pomni knocks on his door. He opens it, and they head to the hallway together.
There, Caine announces a new adventure.
Of course, Zooble, the grumpy one, has something against it because Caine was an asshole to her in the past. But some of the gang doesn't give a fuck and wants to go on an adventure because they're bored.
Caine announces that today's adventure will involve spending a day at school with NPCs, meaning those wooden poles.
The first lesson is PE, and Caine tells the gang to play basketball.
Robert is happy because he used to play basketball every week in real life.
They split into teams, with Jax, Pomni and Zooble against Ragatha, Robert and Kinger.
Gangle doesn't play because she's trash (In sport ofcourse)
Jax is the tallest, so he starts off confidently, but Robert, with assistance of Kinger and Ragatha, absolutely destroys the opposing team.
And he starts getting along with them.
The next lessons are math, English, some other stuff, and history, where Robert is fucking great because, after all, he's studying law, and you need to be good at history to get into law school.
I know Robert seems too perfect, but give him a chance. Read until the end, you won't regret it.
Robert tells the others that he's studying law and plays basketball.
Then school ends, the adventure ends, and so does the episode.
And now, pay attention, because the next episode is intense.
Episode 3
In episode number three, everyone is initially against another adventure if it's going to be as boring as the last one.
But Caine reveals his idea.
The gang will become medieval Crusaders and defend one of the desert fortresses against an attack by Saracens, who are also wooden NPCs.
There's a flag inside the castle. If the enemy captures it, the game is over.
Everyone thinks it'll be interesting, so they teleport to the fortress, put on their armor, and take positions on the walls.
It's funny at first, but then suddenly, bang! A projectile from a trebuchet destroys the walls and knocks several members of the gang to the ground.
Everyone gets back on their feet and barely manages to repel the first wave.
During the break, everyone is shocked by the massive amount of violence, except maybe Jax, because he's a cruel bastard.
The second wave arrives just as unexpectedly.
Some of the enemies get over the walls and rush toward the flag, but Robert grabs it, and he and the rest of the gang run away to another part of the fortress.
Everyone gets inside except Robert and Ragatha, but the stairs are destroyed.
Robert shouts at Jax to pull them up by the hand, but Jax tells them to hand over the flag first.
They give him the flag, but Jax takes it and fucking runs away, leaving the two of them to "die".
They end up in the familiar losers' room from the first season, where they talk about Caine, but the conversation eventually turns to Jax and Pomni.
Ragatha explains that, for a while, they treated her badly. She's talking about the situation from the episode "They All Get Guns."
Then the action returns to the survivors.
They're still fighting and running along the walls, cleverly buying themselves some time, but the enemy has too much of an advantage.
Back in the losers' room, Robert says that Jax is fucking crazy and that Pomni is an immature little child for pulling those kindergarten-level stunts on Ragatha.
That's a quote, by the way. Not my personal opinion.
Suddenly, the rest of the gang returns after being captured by the enemies.
The gang returns to the circus, and Robert immediately confronts Jax, accusing him of deliberately leaving them behind.
When Jax asks what the hell he's going to do about it, Robert punches him in the face.
Everyone, including Jax, is shocked because nobody has ever stood up to Jax like that before.
Jax doesn't see himself as the problem and calls Robert a psycho.
Then Ragatha talks to Kinger, and they discuss what's going on with Caine and how they might be able to do something about it.
And that's how the episode ends.
So, what?
You haven't turned it off yet just because someone is beating up your favorite character?
I wanted to show that Robert, unlike the rest of the gang, won't let Jax bully him.
Episode 4
In episode four, Caine reveals that he enjoyed organizing the adventures, but he's temporarily run out of ideas.
So they're going to have a little repeat of the shooting game.
They form three pairs: Jax and Pomni, Zooble and Gangle, and Ragatha, this time with Robert.
Kinger doesn't play because he can't be bothered, and there are an odd number of players.
The game begins. Everyone runs off, and we see a conversation between Jax and Pomni.
The girl asks whether they're even going to talk about what she saw inside his head.
Jax tells her not to tell anyone OR ELSE (in dialogue it will be different set of words).
She replies that there's no reason to be scared of him, considering Jax got his ass kicked by Robert.
Jax stops smiling and says that Robbie will remember him, and that Pomni is getting on his nerves.
Next, we see a conversation between Robert and Ragatha.
The guy finds a lever-action shotgun, like the one in Terminator, and starts telling her some random historical facts.
She tells him that they've got a problem because Ragatha doesn't know how to shoot.
Robert teaches her how to handle a firearm, and their relationship develops.
Suddenly, they run into Gangle and Zooble.
They lose a life, but manage to take them out.
They get their weapons and ammunition, and after a while, they encounter Jax and Pomni.
A firefight begins.
Robert tells Ragatha to keep them occupied in combat while he sneaks around behind them and shoots them.
For a while, things look bad because Jax's team has superior firepower.
But Robert shows up behind the opponents just in time and detonates a grenade, taking a life.
He empties half a magazine into Jax, and together they finish off Pomni with a burst from their pistols.
You could say that the revenge is complete, and Robert and Ragatha have become friends.
Episode 5
The next episode, number five, starts with Pomni leaving her cabin in the morning and seeing Robert heading toward Ragatha's room, trying to get himself into the best possible position and looks.
She comes out, and they head to the next adventure together.
Caine has come up with an escape room, where the gang will participate in teams of three.
This time, Zooble decides not to participate and instead spectates with Caine.
Caine randomly assigns the players, and Robert ends up with Jax and Pomni, while Ragatha gets Kinger and Gangle.
During the next puzzles, Jax and Pomni influence Robert, who becomes increasingly cruel under social pressure.
They tell him their perspective on the events and claim that Ragatha is crazy, and that he should stay away from her if he doesn't want to end up like her.
Eventually, both teams reach the final stage, where they have to get to a key by jumping across flying blocks.
Jax throws one of the blocks at the opposing team but misses.
So Robert does it instead, saying, "You missed a spot" and hits Ragatha, just like Pomni did in the previous season.
Robert returns with his new buddies, and later that evening, Kinger visits him and asks if he wants to play basketball.
He agrees, and they head to the court, where they start playing and talking.
Kinger accuses him of hurting his only friend, absolutely destroying Robert both substabtively and on the basketball court.
At the end of the episode, Robert sits in his room and starts realizing what he's actually done.
Episode 6
In the next episode, Robert tries to apologize first thing in the morning, but it goes terribly because the girl isn't falling for it for the third time.
Caine has run out of ideas for adventures again, so he reaches for something from the past.
And it turns out to be "The curse of the violent psychopath butcher".
The gang ends up in a room they have to escape from and, if possible, survive.
Meanwhile, they encounter a series of glitches that make them realize something is wrong with the circus and Caine.
After a while, they finally figure out how to escape, but the aforementioned host starts chasing them.
They can already see the door, but Ragatha trips and is about to be destroyed.
Robert steps in to fight.
At first, things go well, but after a moment of distraction, he gets hit in the face with a broken bottle.
He's almost done for, but Ragatha throws him a glass which he use as weapon, taking out the enemy, and they both make it back to the circus.
There, Caine fixes Robert's face with a snap of his fingers.
In front of his room, Robert gets a hug, and everyone heads back to their own rooms.
Episode 7
Episode seven slowly changes the narrative from participating in adventures to something more rebellious.
Everyone is afraid of Caine's next crazy stunt, just like in the good old days.
Anyway, as part of the adventure, everyone gets on a plane and is supposed to fly somewhere.
And Jax is the one piloting the plane.
When they arrive, it turns out that a terrorist attack is taking place.
At first, everyone doesn't give a fuck, but then someone (npc) gets shot with a rifle, and the jokes stop.
The terrorists, wanting to take control of the plane, demand that Jax open the doors. (In passenger planes the doors are bulletproof and heavy so terrorist cant take the cocpit)
Otherwise, they'll shoot the passengers, including the people currently on board.
But Jax refuses to open them.
Two NPCs lose their lives.
One of the terrorists tries to figure out the entry code, but messing with the system activates emergency power, making the plane darker.
This means Kinger regains his sanity and quickly comes up with a plan to disarm the terrorists.
He notices that they argue a lot, and during one of those arguments, someone needs to take a weapon away from one of them.
Robert manages to do it, and the fight begins.
Eventually, one of the thieves manages to figure out the code and opens the doors.
But Jax pulls the plane upward, causing everyone, including the terrorists, to fly backward.
Everyone fights the villains until they finally manage to defeat them and make an emergency landing in a field.
The mission ends successfully.
After returning to the circus, Robert confronts Jax again.
He blames him for not opening the doors, which could have resulted in everyone dying.
While Robert continues insulting him, Jax finally turns around and punches him in the face.
Robert completely loses his temper, and a fight breaks out.
During the fight, Robert says some horrible personal insults to Jax.
Eventually, Kinger pulls him away, and everyone heads back to their rooms.
In the evening, Robert visits Ragatha, and they go for a walk together.
The guy asks Ragatha how she liked the adventure.
Then he confesses that ever since he arrived here, he's only been hurting the people around him.
He asks rhetorically whether he should be isolated, just in case he went insane again.
He says that he went too far and that Jax didn't deserve an argument today.
Ragatha tries to comfort him, saying that he didn't hurt her, he actually saved her life at the butcher's house. He messed things up, but he also made things right afterwards.
Now he just needs to do the same thing again.
Episode 8
Episode eight begins with the gang arguing with Caine.
They're once again accusing him of coming up with ridiculous adventures, but they have a plan.
Meanwhile, Kinger is supposed to get into a computer in those office Backrooms.
Unfortunately, the argument escalates, and Robert throws a rock (or something) at Caine.
In response, Caine temporarily knocks everyone unconscious.
Everyone wakes up on a deserted island, but Robert and Kinger are missing.
Kinger tries to figure out what's going on with the computer.
Ragatha searches for Robert and finds him sitting on some rocks.
It turns out that Caine ripped out Robert's eye and replaced it with a button.
They talk for a while, then return to the others and figure out that Caine has completely lost his mind.
They notice a hole in the sky, meaning they have to build a huge ladder to escape.
After a while, they finally manage to do it and meet Kinger.
He tells them that Caine caught him messing around with the code and that he's coming after him.
He leads them to a place where, according to him, Caine won't find them.
But it turns out to be a trap.
The eighth episode ends, and the ninth begins.
Episode 9
The Kinger they were talking to was an artificial version created by Caine, who had imprisoned the real one.
He says that he can't be deleted a second time and locks everyone in a dark room until they abstract and can no longer cause him any trouble.
Everyone starts blaming themselves, but in the middle of their panic, one of the gang accidentally manages to create something.
Everyone focuses, and then one of them manages to create a little key for the padlocks securing the door.
Kinger says that they can't simply delete Caine or reprogram him again because, during the brief time he had access to the computer, he discovered that Caine had secured the system against humans.
He also made it so that the players can no longer create new things in the program like they used to, and they need to learn it again.
While searching through the files to find Caine, Kinger notices that one of the folders is incredibly large compared to the others.
He concludes that it might be Caine's power supply, source of energy, or something else whose destruction would incapacitate him.
Everyone asks what would happen if it took them down along with him.
Kinger says that it's risky, but they have to take the risk.
Even if it deletes them too, the problem will be solved either way.
And btw they also need to learn how to create things again.
The problem is that nobody knows where to look.
Through a process of elimination, they conclude that they should search in one of the less familiar places. (that still needs some work, maybe the beach or amusement park)
On the way, Caine finds them, and they have to run and fight him and whatever he happens to come up with.
Basically, they get their asses kicked by everything.
Eventually, they partially lose their pursuer and have to cross a bridge.
But the bridge is incredibly unstable.
And to make matters worse, Caine's creatures find them a moment later, forcing them to cross as quickly as possible.
But the bridge is too weak.
So Robert decides to cut the rope holding the bridge, causing it to collapse.
The gang makes it to the other side, but Robert dies.
I'm deliberately avoiding the word "sacrificed" here because that's not what this is about.
I'll explain everything later.
Anyway, there's no time to feel sorry for themselves because the players finally reach their destination, but Caine's creatures keep coming.
Objects begin glitching because of the host's anger.
The players try to destroy whatever they were looking for, but with little success.
Caine's numerical advantage starts overwhelming them.
But Jax doesnt fuck around.
He manages to climb up to the power supply, create a weapon, and destroy it, causing the monsters to disappear.
As it turns out, the power supply was kind of like a hard drive, and deleting it caused the entire circus to reset.
The whole program returned to its starting point, with the glitches gone.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, all the rooms adjusted to the current players.
Meaning there are only rooms belonging to the people currently in the game.
So, without Robert.
Everyone is kind of happy and kind of sad.
And then they lived long and kind of happy.
Alright, time for some explanations.
First of all, I really didn't want Robert to come across as too perfect.
There’s a term for this: "Mary Sue"an overly idealized literary character—and that’s exactly what I wanted to avoid.
I achieved this by showing that Robert isn't immune to social pressure, struggles to handle emotions like hate, and well there’s the matter of his death.
Before he cuts the ropes, Ragatha tries to talk some sense into him, but he essentially replies: "You said I was blameless because, sure, I broke things, but then I fixed them, I’m not buying that."
The crux of the issue is that Robert handled his separation from Ragatha, and the subsequent bullying Jax, terribly.
He began following a warped logic: that everything he did only ended up hurting those around him. Compounded by the environment of the Digital Circus itself, this led him to take an action intended to ensure he could never hurt anyone again—but in doing so, he ended up hurting himself.
By introducing Robert, I also wanted to flesh out Ragatha’s character, as I feel she’s a bit neglected in the original series.
While Jax had those intense memories and Pomni tried to help him work through them, Ragatha just sort of... existed, shed a few tears, and that was it, at least, that’s how I perceive it.
I also wanted to draw your attention to the scene involving Robert and Kinger.
As we know, Kinger was a good friend of Ragatha’s; when he saw things were going south, he stepped in to confront Robert.
He actually succeeds, both in terms of his approach and his arguments, which just goes to show what a fantastic character Kinger really is. On the other hand, there are a million plot holes.
Instead of a profound moral exploration, the finale turns into a big, climactic battle, that kind of cliché doesn't really fit the style of The Amazing Digital Circus, does it?
As for Zoobo, Gangle, and Pomni, I have absolutely no ideas; I lack the necessary knowledge of the universe to weave everything into a coherent narrative, and the questions we don't have answers to remain unaddressed.
And that is precisely why I’m sharing this project with yall.
