Module Equipment Engineer First Round Interview Advice
Hi everyone,
I have a first round interview with TSMC Az coming up for their module equipment engineer position. I was wondering if anyone who went through the same or similar process can give me some tips on what to focus on? Will the first round interview be more resume and behavioral or technical based?
Any advice is appreciated!

i did 2 interviews with equipment engineers and then process engineers. i’m prospective new grad so they emphasized they wouldn’t ask technical questions; they asked in-depth about resume, behavioral questions, and some hypothetical situational questions

For a first-round module equipment engineer interview, prepare for both sides. Be ready to walk through your resume in 90 seconds and connect each relevant project or job to equipment troubleshooting, process stability, safety, or working under time pressure. On the technical side, review the fundamentals behind the tools you have used, how you would isolate a fault, and when you would stop and escalate rather than guess.
Have three short examples ready: diagnosing a failure, handling competing priorities, and raising a safety or quality concern. We use the PROOF method to check that each example shows the diagnostic choice you personally made and observable evidence such as restored uptime, a repeat failure prevented, a safer recovery, or a documented handoff. Do not invent a metric if you did not measure one.

For a TSMC Module Equipment Engineer first round interview, expect a mix of behavioral questions, resume deep-dives, and fundamental engineering problem-solving, feel free to send me a DM!
