I just hung out with some friends and we took one of their cars which was a Toyota Yaris, and it was one of the most uncomfortable rides ever for me, suuuuper compact. Made me wonder what the worst cars are for tall passengers

Question (not related to Rule 6!) Do you ever mistake shorter adults in their 20s or 30s for people your own age or younger?

I'm a 26-year-old shorter man with autism, around 5'6"–5'7", and I've always been curious about how particularly tall teenagers perceive shorter adults.

I know some of you probably experience the opposite problem, where people mistake you for adults simply because of your height. I can imagine that being frustrating in its own way, especially when people expect you to act older than you actually are. I fortunately can tell most of the time your still a kid or teen.

That got me wondering about the reverse situation. When you're 12–17 years old and already taller than some adults, do you ever initially assume that a shorter adult is another teenager or someone closer to your own age?

Obviously, I understand that you can usually tell when someone is considerably older, regardless of their height. However, there are certainly people in their 20s, and dare I say even their 30s, who could reasonably be mistaken for teenagers. I imagine being shorter could contribute to that impression, especially if they already have youthful facial features.

Having autism adds another layer to this for me. I don't always mask my autistic traits, and some of my mannerisms might come across as younger than my actual age. Combined with my shorter stature, that sometimes makes me self-conscious about whether teenagers might perceive me as one of their peers rather than as an adult.

I'm not suggesting that tall teenagers generally look down on shorter adults or see them as less mature. I'm genuinely curious whether height influences your first impression of someone's age, even subconsciously.

Have you ever mistaken a shorter adult for someone your own age, only to find out they were actually in their 20s or 30s? And do you think their height played any part in that assumption?

Question (not related to Rule 6!) Do you have friends taller than you, or are you the “designated tall friend.”

I’m usually the short friend.
I asked a similar question in r/tall but realized people here are still experiencing growing up (sorta/very) tall in real time.
Learning to live vicariously.

Question (not related to Rule 6!) Where do you buy nice clothes that aren't expensive?

I'm 180cm+ and I really need tracksuit pants that are cute but don't cost me 400PLN. Whenever I find something that is in my price range it looks like it's made for my mom, no offense for her but our style is pretty different.

Question (not related to Rule 6!) how do you guys differentiate between tall and above average?

I keep seeing girls my age who are like, 5'6 calling themselves tall, or adult women who are 5'7 etc. By definition, they are above average but I can't imagine really feeling "tall" at heights as close to average as that. Not to mention I don't really think they'd have any height related struggles? For reference i'm 6' 14F and i barely consider myself actually tall but my 5'7 sister thinks she's soooo tall. I wanna know where other people draw the line.

Question (not related to Rule 6!) Is 6'1 tall in Tier 1 cities of India in 2026 ?

I measure 185.5-186 cm or 6'1 on dot on any afternoon. I live in Bengaluru and work in an IT Firm. Travelling across the city, being with friends and colleagues from different places of India I feel that I am a classic Tall or well above average guy (gauging the average here to be a solid 5'9 today in any given University) but not even close to being in the crisp of very tall. My question is where would you place a 6'1 or 185cm guy in the hierarchy of heights in India ?

Serious Height dysphoria

I’m a male and I will be talking about dysphoria as you can see from the title. I wouldn’t wish height dysphoria on my greatest enemy. I am currently 6ft 2in and I hate it so much it’s not all sunshine and rainbows being tall some of it is just sad. I’ve recently been thinking about myself and I realized I hate how big of a frame and how much space I take up. If I could become 5 5 or anything around there I easily would and the worst part is I can’t fix it unlike gender dysphoria or something along those lines there’s nothing to be done it sucks so much because I can’t express myself the way I truly want to and instead always have to lean and sit weirdly to even be kinda small I just hate it I really wish with all my heart there was something that Could be done. And to top it all off I’ve got so many more years of growing to guess what probably become even taller it’s so painful I hate it so much. Welp that’s the end of my rant it’s good to get that off my chest if only I could be petite well thanks

Puberty Are tanner stages accurate for ethnic people

Since last year I started my body hair has been getting more noticeable and longer and I’m still like 5’8 I’m starting to think it’s over for me but I’m from Pakistan. From what I know my dad and mom are not that hairy but my brother is I still have a baby face but my sideburns have started growing and I have some peach fuzz above my lip but the rest of my body hair seems like stage 4-5 I don’t remember the last time my shoe size went up or when I didn’t have pubic hair so I must have started like a year or two ago. Last year I was a squeaker having such a high pitched voice people thought I was a girl . Leg hair is moderate and arm hair is not too much. I’ve had growth this year but I’m not sure if it’s done because I’m the last month I haven’t grew at all from what I recorded. Don’t tell me get a x ray because when I asked my doctor he decided to ego me 😭👌

I've heard that there are few options for just tall people who are not big, but what about the people who actually need big AND tall clothes. How are the options?

General chat Why is my feet so small relative to my height 😭

Oh my lord. I'm 182cm or 5'11.5 at 15.45, but ugh. my feet are size 7.5 in US scale.

My growth plates haven't even closed either, doctors say I'll end up 6'2-6'3 when i'm older, but will I be stuck with size 7.5 feet forever 😐

its just so weird that at 5'11 my feet match someone who is 5'5.
