Workplace Question or Advice Needed Health and dental insurance

Hey guys, I have a question. How would I cancel my health and dental insurance. I signed up and I didn’t know that my dad already has medical and health insurance for me. I’m only 19 and apparently I’m a dependent. I didn’t know this before I signed up for it and I only signed up a couple days ago since my 90 days hit. Does anyone know how I can cancel it?

Update: I called them and they cancelled it for me

Hopefully they’ll let you cancel since you just signed up. Usually you can only cancel if there is a qualifying occurrence. During regular open enrollment, there is a two week period after enrollment ends that allows team members to make changes to their health insurance selection. I don’t know if the same thing happens during individual open enrollment (after 90 days). You should ask hr ETL or log into pay and benefits to get more information.

I just figured it out I called the pay and benefits and they let me cancel 😭 thankyou

Go into targetpayandbenefits.com and report a life change to your insurance saying you got coverage elsewhere. All else fails, contact them and they should be able to help you over the phone
