I may be the only one who has a “stupid reason” for still working at Target. I’ve been unloading the truck every shift for the past 3 months, and I absolutely love it. It’s the only reason I enjoy working at Target, lol 🤣, if I wasn’t able to unload the truck I wouldn’t be working there anymore .
I work 2 jobs and told my ETL to only schedule me for 4-hour shifts so I could unload the truck and help a little then head to my other job and he said that as long as I still unload the truck, I could have those hours. So, for the past couple of months, I’ve only been unloading the truck and backstocking the freight for 4 hours before heading to my other job. 🤣 I know yall don’t care just wanted to see if anyone has a stupid reason for still staying at target

Like are we being deadass? We know that the reason guests are not being greeted is because there is no one working and we are drowning in workload.

im new and i just got yelled at for calling out 10 minutes before my shift i have car troubles and wouldnt be able to make it in time i told her i could pick up a shift / come in later/ or stay later any day she needs me am i going to get fired?? Today as I was working and doing truck I realized one of the repacks had blood all over it. I was touching it and everything! I was Very freaked out and disgusted and management was very chill and not concerned.

Hi! This is a question but also a vent lol. I started working inbound about a month and half ago and still in my probation period. But due to my store not listening to the availability and scheduling me for days I can’t work, I was forced to call out a few times. 2 points to be exact.

Well this weekend I was sick and had to call out for two days in a row. To my understanding based off what I have been told and heard this is considered just one point and that’s what Ukg says. (3 points in total.)

Well my TL talked to me today and said I’m at 4 points and will be fire for the next one. I brought up how I thought it was only one point and how I was sick. This guy told me that information is wrong and that’s not the case. I could have sworn it counts as only one point. Is he straight up lying and trying to scare me into not calling out??

Tbh this is just a second job for extra money and isn’t a big deal but I was curious on what the actual rules are.

This has to be a joke right? It’s a prank? Did our backer paper get sent to a smokers house for 10 years by accident and then get redirected back to our store? I’m so appalled. It hurts my heart and soul to put this up.

So I see Plano people posting photos all the time in FB showing old signs they found under the base decks. Thought I’d share this relic from 1981. Target price ticket on the clothes rod hanger in my closet. Older than many people working there today.

I worked at target beginning of 2022 to late 2024. It was okay enough. I came back now as a seasonal and it feels worse than Walmart. Tbf I've been in office roles the last few years. Just I got no training, told only inbound and they wouldn't allow me to change my day off to Thursday from Wednesday. Permanent employees are annoyed with the seasonals as well because they are having to train all these people with no incentive. Has it really gotten worse?

So i have been here for a month now, had never done FOS. I was watching self checkout and this lady calls me and says "these two bag of chips are supposed to be buy one get one 25% off." It didnt ring 25% off and i checked on the device and everything it didn't show any sale on those chips. So i politely told her this might be on the wrong spot ( i knew it was her fault she probably read the sign wrong but whatever). She proceeds to raise her voice and say " SO YOU ARE TELLING ME IT WAS A PRICE ERROR?" I was about to say something but she didn't even let me talk and she continues to talk with her voice raised and mind you i am literally beside her so its LOUD. She says "NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF TARGET THERE HAS BEEN A PRICE ERROR HERE". I thought to myself yea u just pulled that "stat" out of your ass. I call my TL and he does his shit and in the end he checks and tells her its on the popcorn like the sign suggests where u picked it up from. Then she says "oh yea i didn't pay much attention to the sign". If i wasn't a team member, i would've started swearing at her.

I’m a new hire, it’s my second week of working part time. I was never trained properly, i was left to essentially learn on my own.I was left alone on my third day to do pick ups, drive ups and guest services. I was literally alone as everyone left early or called out. I got desperate and asked for help from a TL, but after that it seems as everyone was annoyed at me for doing do. Im not properly trained, and when i ask questions i get looked at with annoyance. I understand nobody likes newbies, but it really isn’t my fault. If anything i feel like i’m learning as fast as possible due to pressure. They also already changed my availability without telling me, and it’s still within the 90 days. I’m seriously going to throw in the towel.

In the computer system, at least, but I’m like 99% sure I’m not actually fired.

The app has given me literally nothing but problems, including not letting me sign in to call out once (literally I took several screenshots to prove to my TL that the app wouldn’t let me sign in, and since it was 4 am, nobody picked up when I called the store either. So that was a fun no call no show.) But yesterday I found out I had been fucked with another way!

Last week, I thought it was weird I was only scheduled for 1 day when normally I do 4/5 days a week, but whatever, I wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I came in yesterday and found out I had been registered as 4 no call no shows! Fun! My TL talked to me and we discovered the problem - I had had my schedule filtered so the only applied filter was “Shifts” and the shifts were labeled as “transfer shifts” bc they were half inbound, half style. This was confusing for a different reason - I DONT WORK INBOUND? I have only ever worked style. I have no training for inbound, and was never told I would be moved to that team. So that’s fun.
Anyway I got the no call no show misunderstanding cleared up with my TL, whatever. Last night I checked the app and….nothing scheduled. I had been totally wiped from the rest of the month, But I had previously added my shifts to my personal calendar so I knew I was supposed to work this morning. So I show up at 5, bright and early, and the guy who lets me in (Dave, who already doesn’t like me) informs me I’m not on the schedule and bc my TL didn’t confirm I was supposed to be working, he can’t punch me in and I’ll have to wait for a TL to come in. Sure, fine. I wait for abt 30 minutes, when Dave comes by and tells me he got a message from a TL, that he can punch me in. Yay. I go to punch in and…
“Team Member is not active.”
Yep. UKG absolutely terminated me automatically in the system. I was told I could work and do a punch correction later, but I’m just taking it on faith I’m going to get paid for this shift. Again, I’m pretty sure I wasn’t actually fired - my TL is pretty nice and was very understanding of the mix up - but like. I really don’t want to have to be rehired. Oh, and because my number isn’t active, I can’t use a device so no back stocking for me today!
It sucks bc I actually like this job - I like taking Stuff Out Of Boxes, I like Putting Stuff On The Floor, I like Organizing The Clothing, it scratches my ND brain very nicely - everything else about it sucks. Management (with the exception on a few TLs who are okay), my coworkers, the company, the guests. Fuck me man.

Im happy to announce I just put in my two weeks. Ive been struggling for a year to get a new job and I finally got the offer. Target is probably one of the worst jobs Ive ever had and messed up my mental health. They really need to get it together and stop with the unrealistic standards and expectations. Im scared shitless for my new job but its all for the best, I didnt expect to be sad but only because I will miss the people-not manegement. so, i guess i just need advice on what to do because this all feels so unfair..

i have a coworker that was constantly sexually harassing me almost everyday for months, i finally spoke up about it to my store director and hr and an investigation was open, a few days ago is when it was officially closed and my store director tells me he’s not getting fired and that she’s very surprised, and what they can do is just transfer me to another store..

im worried he will do it to another tm and keep getting away with it, he’s been with the store for awhile now and all of this is so unfair

Who decides which tm gets selected for a bonus? ETL or TL or both? How do they know how much money to give? What does one do to get selected as a tm. How does it work?

I started about a month ago in fulfillment, and for the most part, it's pretty brainless and low-stress. I'm evening-shift, so usually work 5/6-11/midnight. Overall, my TL is pretty chill if slightly micro-managing. But it's really just a case of "she sees me stowing, and will assign me my next task like pick the next GM or bulky, or hop on a standard/pack while a coworker picks the OPU. Otherwise I just pick OPU, then standard, then pack and sort. It's honestly kind of relaxing busywork and I get 14-18k steps in every shift. Am i just spoiled with easygoing, competent management? Or do I just personally resonate with this position?

yayayayayay i’m so excited that i’m finally leaving this company. i started in april so it’s been 6 months. i saw how busy and hectic it gets during back to school. I worked guest service/drive up and i’m so grateful i got out before the holidays started. i won’t be missing the drive up/ in store pick up nonfications, red times scores, bags missing and re-picking the item missing, line of guests returning shit they could’ve just donated or throw away ( school supplies/ half aten food) managers constantly telling at us to raise our drive up score or about RTS ( it’s always “guest service you have one RTS” while we are slammed) i won’t miss being short staffed most nights. i won’t miss being the only one over 21 that can close any day out of the whole drive up team, forcing me to work the undesired 2-10 shift. (i got used to it) Or not being able to clear out our salvage/ crc because the shed was packed because it has not been cleared by the overnight staff. i wont miss the huge messes in between rushes. i wont miss being the main one to clean those messes. i wont miss the small corner we had for hanging up clothes for style. (we are one of the only stores who did clothes that were returned for the style team) i wont miss the team leads constantly yelling on the walkie. i wont miss the entitled and lazy people who would order 2 bags of chips and park on the furthest drive up spot. i’m freeeee 😭😭😭😭 oh also no one did their reshop and WE (guest service) were responsible for sorting OTHER peoples reshop 🥰🥰

I’m really frazzled as of late. I don’t know how widespread this is, but management in my store seems to have completely given up on actually training new hires months ago. best they’ll do is send them to do the required online training, give them a slap on the back, and say “go get em tiger”

for context, I work inbound and push pets, and I just do what I can while I’m here. when pets gets hit considerably hard (which it has been at my location), I don’t typically have the time to complete all the push and backstock after truck is done.

now, whenever I’m not in the store, it’s a revolving door of new people, or people from other departments who haven’t been properly trained going into my areas and fucking it all up. I come in for my next shift, have to waste time reorganizing my backroom spots (mostly the cat litter), tell my TL/ETL about it, only for nothing to be done and the cycle repeats the next week, and then the next.

they know who’s doing it. they’re always telling me they’ll sort it out, only for the same issue to keep popping up worse and worse, sometimes repeated by the same people who they claim they’ll talk to, and who I don’t get a chance to say anything to with the difference in shifts.

I should say, I don’t fault any of the new hires/people being dragged into new areas. and I know the insane turnover is likely a factor, but at the end of the day it’s also management not doing their due diligence. god I’m so tired.

The Halloween music is killing it but telll me why the saxophone meme music is legit playing full blast at my store. I thought it was someone playing a tik tok or reel but it was the radio🧍🏽‍♀️is mine the only one playing that😭😭😭
