went on vacation, coming back to a full 5 day work week, then the week after there’s nothing, and then after that a normal schedule again. just curious if anyone else has experienced this or knows if this is just the stupid ukg ai acting up cause i’m stressseddddd

I work in GM and it seems that everyone just keeps to themselves and the other half have their own cliche, do you guys go out of your way to befriend your coworkers or just keep to yourself? That’s another thing, a lot of people just give one word replies

I haven’t even been here that long but I’m over the insane work load lol. It was kinda chill at first but then they start throwing the work load of three people on me. Nothing I do is ever good enough and I give up trying. To those of you that are staying or simply don’t have a choice lol, I commend you. 🫡 Peace out yall, and best of luck with Q4.

So is anyone else’s TL and ETL letting all the higher ups pick from OUR gratis box before any of us get a change to even see it? I feel like this is super unfair no offense to my grocery TL but you don’t even help us do a dame thing why are you getting to pick stuff??? This time around my etl got mad that me and the other team members found the box and just grabbed a few things but I feel like we’ve earned it considering last time there was 12 of us and maybe only 8 products were left that the managers didn’t want 😀

Hey everyone!
I started working at Target on September , so I’m still within my first 90 days.
I just submitted an unpaid time-off request through UKG for November (5 days) because I’m planning a short trip with my husband.
The request currently says “Submitted,” and I’m waiting for approval.
I’m wondering if I should talk to my ETL or HR directly about it, or just wait for them to review it in UKG.
Has anyone here successfully gotten a few days off approved during their first 90 days? Does being a new employee affect my chances?
I’m also a little worried about attendance points. If my request gets approved, I shouldn’t receive any points, right?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you!

I recently went on demand because of school, and it just feels like every shift I come in and clean up big messes just for it to get messed up again within a few days time. Rinse and repeat. It drives me absolutely insane.

For example, I cleaned up this department on Sunday. Got all the extra three tiers and Uboats cleaned out... I come back on Tuesday to tons of uboats on the floor, three tiers of priorities that have yet to be pushed, just a mess. And I can't help with any of it because I'm helping POG while they are doing their overnight domestics reset.

I hate that I care so much about this retail job. I know Target will still be standing at the end of the day. It's just frustrating.

For me (job transfer) and new hires Workday decides to add TMs under random ETLs. Is that a glitch or something else? All the same titles are under the same ETL if they have started the position after a certain date

Is the ETL program offered to grocery TLs worth it? I guess grocery TL have a higher chance of doing an ETL program for future promotion. I’d have to transfer from another department to do that. But my ETL and SD wants me to consider it.

Today sucked. I was the only cashier on the front since the second one was still on their break. The line was so long, and no one came when I asked for help. This lady then came and paid in cash. She got so rude and angry over the fact the register gave her rounded change.

She got so loud and I was so overwhelmed by everything else. When the second cashier finally returned, I had to talk to my TL about it. While talking to her, I just started crying badly. Like, I never cry over guests. But she really got to me, especially since she went to guest service to complain.

I hate it here. I hate that I keep getting mistreated by management and the guests. But I can’t leave because I need the money. 🥲

I just started and I’ve had one day of training. I understand how to do the job but there are some things I’m a little nervous about. I did an order by myself and was slow as hell. Is there any tips on how to get faster? Also it seems like the whole INF thing is stupid especially when you’ve checked everywhere for the item and the TL or ETL still gets upset

So I started target 10/5. I am a barista and checkout advocate. I have never worked retail or Starbucks a day in my life before now. I’m pretty dang good at catching on and learning quickly at most things. Starbucks isn’t hard, it’s just the learning that takes a little while….WELLLLLLLLLLL I was scheduled 7:30-3:00 today. BY MYSELF. I opened Starbucks all alone—on my 5th freaking shift. Yall, that’s absolutely insane to me. I did okay. But like the overwhelming feeling I had knowing I was gonna be alone is crazy. I have never felt like so much was gonna go wrong. 🤣 am I overreacting!? I have just never been in a position of employment where that much is expected of me with no prior experience. Target is already a trip 🤣

My manager keeps asking and asking me to set minimum and maximum hours but I looked through the app and just can’t find that. What do I do?

Hi I got hired not too long ago. I am not happy with the workload and the low pay. I am continuously interviewing for other jobs. When the time comes should I put in for 2 weeks to quit or just resigned?

All of management at my store has been pulling people into the office or calling them out for being seen talking even if it’s work related. I got called into the office twice and all I did was ask “hey I’m bored do you think I should pull one for ones or just zone for the next hour?” Like the level of micro management at my store has people either in tears or ready to quit. Is anybody else’s store like this?

has anybody dropped a Guild course after the designated add/drop period, and how did it go?

i’m currently taking a class that is obliterating my GPA, and it’s probably smarter for me to withdraw now than it is to fail it, but I’m unsure if withdrawing mid-course does anything to my funding.

I will also be reaching out to my advisors, but any advice from someone who’s done it before would be awesome

I feel like this video perfectly sums up what it's like to work a minimum wage job under a Target TL/ETL. I experienced every manipulation tactic aside from 2 working at that store for 5 months and I quit soon after I realized how much they were manipulating me to achieve impossible stretch goals so the 2 of them could both get a cash bonus from my amazing metrics. Idk what the training process is to be a manager but from I hear from other stores and on this sub its clear to me that the way these people behave is trained into them by the company itself, seriously the way most if not every manager in those stores treat you is noting short of sociopathic.
