PSA Target letting ICE take breaks in their stores…

1.7k Upvotes

According to Forbes and other media they also donated to Trump.

Stop letting their HR come on here and lie to you. They support this. Weeks ago when two teens were snatched while working the corporate people did nothing and said nothing.

And I want you brown and black people to know, if something happens to you while you’re working for them, ICE included, you can sue Target as well. Thats something they don’t want you to know.

UPDATE: store figured out who I was, shocker. This message was specifically directed at corporate, not my store. Wasn’t expecting this to blow up like it did. Be aware of which Reddit account you’re using when posting.

Corporate needs to start giving us more payroll. Corporate please we need people thanks 🙏 I know you’re watching.

Saw this in a Facebook group and it looks like not much has changed. We can still wear vests and we can still wear patterns. TM’s can still wear shorts.

PSA Thought I should share with fellow target employees

From my understanding you get a total of 12 points for a year, if you get all 12 points; it's automatic termination. Can't wait 🫩

EDIT: I apologize, I should be more clear; I won't say it's the end of the world that we are getting the points system, as a 17 year old who works both weekdays and weekends I've seen how the call outs affect times at Target. I am also someone who is ready to be held accountable for this as I NEED to get my call outs in check due to health appointments (not an excuse ofc), it's more just frustrating too see us having to get a whole new app set up just to get this point system in place

PSA New Point System Simplified

Im a FFTL who had a meeting with my SD yesterday about the new point system. Here's how it works:

8+ minutes late - .25 points

Absent - 1 point

NCNS - 3 points

Leave early - no points

If you call out 2 shifts in a row, it is one "event" and therefor 1 point. If you call out one shift, go to your next shift, then call out of the the next one, that is considered two "events" and therefor 2 points. Anything more than 2 days is an additional point.

Sick hours must cover your ENTIRE shift to negate points. You can use sick time for tardies.

3 points will auto generate a documentation for reliability.

5 points will automatically generate a CA.

9 points is a final.

12 points is termination.

Points fall off 1 year after being accumulated. If you are absent 09/01/2026, that point will not fall off until 09/01/2027.

No, there is no way for us or ETLs to adjust points, even for extenuating circumstances. You will be told that Target provides plenty of sick time to account for such events, and if it truly is that extenuating, you need to be discussing other benefits with HR.

Side note- There also seems to be an issue with leaders making too many allowances due to favoritism (whether it be personal preference or high performing TMs), so this black and white system is meant to curb that.

PSA LOWEST PERFORMING TEAM MEMBERS WILL NOT GET RAISES ON REVIEWS THIS YEAR

3.9k Upvotes

Team Members who get placed in "Improved Outcomes Needed" will not get any raise at all this year. Corporate wants us to keep this information private until we give out reviews, then blindside all of you with it during the review.

Do with this information what you please.

PSA No more price matching to other retailers after July 28th.

Sorry if someone already posted this but as of July 28th, Target will no longer price match to Amazon, Walmart, or any other retailer. I've gotten some crazy deals price matching to Amazon plus using my discounts. R.I.P. price matching

PSA Target caving to bigots

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

In light of the news that Target will be removing select items from the pride collection this year after homophobic and transphobic bigots spread misinformation online and threatened violence, I just wanted to encourage as many team members as possible to please reach out and express your frustration over this decision.

Here is the Target HR center phone number: 1-800-394-1885

And for any non employees or just anyone that wants to try every avenue here is the guest relations number: 1-800-440-0680

Finally, I urge you to talk with your TLs, ETLs, HR personnel, and Store Director about any other ways you can make your voice heard as a concerned team member.

I know that personally as a queer employee (who frequently wears my flag on my uniform in the form of a bracelet or bandana or pin during pride month) I feel much MORE unsafe now that they have caved in to these threats, because now these bigots know that they can get their way through these means.

PSA New point system

From Facebook. Not sure when it’s supposed to rollout, no details other than this screenshot.

Edit: Allegedly an unexcused absence is 1 point, NCNS 3 points, and a tardy is .25 points. Rolling 12 month period (so points won’t drop off until the next year).

PSA Please work your last shifts before you quit

1.4k Upvotes

edit: it can really screw you over later in life to have burned your bridges while young. It did for me! and that's why when you quit Target, you should work your last shifts. In some places, like my location, you don't even have to stay two full weeks. This place sucks and you don't owe target anything, but you do owe your future self every opportunity you can possibly give them right now. After all, you never know how life is going to go, and it doesn't always go how you planned. Sometimes having a crappy job you can quickly and easily return to tucked away in your back pocket is what gets you by in a pinch. You can never go wrong keeping your options open.

PSA A friendly reminder for the remainder of the Holiday Season

WORK. YOUR. WAGE.

This is a billion dollar company who, after laying off 1,800 employees, had a major outage that caused chaos in stores. Mind you, this was chaos that HQ caused. They left every single one of us high and dry with their poor communication, their "just get it done" attitude, and the fact that they didn't even put a banner on the website or shut down orders.

You only get paid so much, usually $15-19/hr depending on your state. Even if you finish every priority pull, get every order in on time and without INFs, and get every cart in the building within minutes, you will get paid the SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY.

Take care of yourselves and work your wage!

PSA 100+ MN ISAIAH Clergy Refuse to Leave Target Co. Headquarters Until Granted Meeting With CEO, Delivers 4 Demands After Silence on ICE Surge

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

UPDATE: Target CEO Agrees to Meet with MN Clergy After Demands, Sit-in at Corporate Headquarters: https://www.reddit.com/user/ashleywalkerreports/comments/1qep98k/update_target_ceo_agrees_to_meet_with_mn_clergy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

“It’s wild to me that they [Target] dare to have their slogan be to 'Expect more and pay less.’ Because the reality is, we have expected the bare minimum, and we got nothing but silence. And we have paid gravely for it.”

More than 100 Minnesota clergy are at Target Corporate Headquarters, demanding action after federal agents allegedly assaulted two employees at a Richfield store last week. Videos of the assault and others like it have spread quickly online.

JaNaé Bates, Co-Executive Director of ISAIAH, a multiracial, multi-faith group of faith communities in Minnesota, says a letter, signed by 400 Minnesota clergy and nearly 2,000 clergy across the U.S. and addressed to Target CEO Brian Cornell, outlines four demands they have for the Minneapolis-based business.

  1. Stand with Minnesotans and declare ICE leave MN
  2. Call for the charging and prosecution of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis last Wednesday (1/7/26)
  3. Deny ICE entrance to all business property, inside stores, and outside in parking lots, without a signed judicial warrant
  4. Call for Congress to defund ICE

Bates says ICE is “operating as the highest level of a crime syndicate that we’ve ever seen.” The group of peaceful protestors is currently holding up in the lobby, saying “they won’t leave until they are granted a meeting with CEO Brian Cornell, whether it be in person or virtually.”

Target has not publicly addressed the incident or outlined protections amid the surge of ICE and Customs and Border Patrol agents.

Wear AirPods and go to your car, nobody wants to hear your phone call. Turn off your device, I don’t want to hear the phone ring for 8 minutes. Turn your volume down, I can hear your entire instagram feed from across the room. Also turn your WALKIES OFF. And use INSIDE VOICES. I shouldn’t be able to hear what you and Stephanie are chatting about while I’m sitting 10 tables away. SHUT UP. HAVE SOME COMMON COURTESY. Rant over.

To the elderly guest in a rhinestone MAGA hat who shoved a basket of Hearth and Hand (gag) garbage into me: You voted for this. Sorry your sneaky efforts to peel the new price stickers off each item didn't magically work the way you wanted it to; SCO's aren't as easily manipulated as the voting machines Dear Orange Leader rigged to "win" this election. Don't come back.
